A Cry from the Grave tells the story of the Srebrenica massacre of 1995, in which the Bosnian Serb army killed an estimated 7,000 Bosnian Muslims.

It follows hour by hour the story of the killings. Through the testimony of survivors and relatives of those who died it explores the pain felt when no one is brought to justice. There are interviews with investigators from the UN-sponsored court at The Hague and from the UN special prosecutor.

But the underlying message of the film is bleak indeed - no matter what is done, it will never be enough. A Cry from the Grave has won numerous prizes. It has been shown at the UN, and it was used during a war crimes trial at The Hague.

WSJ: Soaring radioactivity levels on coast of Fukushima plant — Nuclear material may have leeched from melted fuel cores and into environment:
http://tinyurl.com/n8vj52o

Wall Street Journal, July 8, 2013: Fukushima Watch: Tritium Levels Soar on Coast at Fukushima Plant [...] More than two years after the devastating accident at Japan\'s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, operator [Tepco] is seeing levels soar of a radioactive element called tritium. The problem spot is on the coastal side of the plant\'s heavily damaged No. 2 reactor, one of the areas where Tepco regularly monitors groundwater to check for radioactive elements that may have leeched from the plant\'s partly melted fuel cores and into the environment. [...]

Jiji Press, July 8, 2013: Tokyo Electric Power Co. says 2,300 becquerels per liter of tritium was found in seawater sampled off its crippled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power station Wednesday, the highest level recorded since the March 2011 accident. [...] It is feared that groundwater containing high levels of tritium may be leaking into the sea from the plant\'s No. 2 reactor building.

On July 6, 2013 at 1 15 a.m. (eastern time), an unattended 73-car freight train operated by the United States-based Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway (MMA) carrying crude oil ran away and derailed in Lac-Mégantic, Quebec. Fifteen people have been confirmed dead and 60 possibly missing. More than 30 buildings in the town's centre were destroyed. 50 feared dead in Lac-Mégantic train derailment - Criminal probe launched Police say five more bodies have been found in Lac-Mégantic, bringing the toll up to 20 confirmed dead, after a train derailment that set of a series of explosions in the centre of the Quebec town. The engineer in charge of the train that derailed and exploded in Lac-Mégantic is "under police control," according to the head of the rail company. At an impromptu news conference on Wednesday, Ed Burkhardt, the president of Rail World Inc., remained unflappable as he addressed a flurry of reporters who crowded around him. It is possible that some of the missing people were vapourized by the explosions. Family members were asked to provide DNA samples of those missing as well as detailed records. The Musi-Café, a bar located next to the centre of the explosions, was destroyed while dozens of people were inside and it remained inaccessible to investigators two days after the disaster. Quebec provincial police say their list of missing people has grown to 60, though they won't release the names because of the fluid nature of that roll. "You have to understand that, yes, we do have a list, and we are not publicizing it because of double victimization that could occur when people on this list are [turning up] afterward," said Insp. Michel Forget. The death toll remained at 15 this morning. Genevieve Guilbault, a spokeswoman for Quebec's coroner's office, said all of the remains have been transferred to a lab in Montreal, but no identifications had been confirmed. Because no identifications have been made, it's still unclear if the dead already located at the scene are on the police missing list. Unofficial lists of people reported missing or people described as unaccounted for on social media have been published, but no official list has been released Forget stressed that the Quebec provincial police haven't released their list because people are being added and removed quickly as police speak with more people and others are located. "You have to understand, and we are reiterating here, that the people who are missing, a relative, a close friend has to contact us if they've been in contact with them since Saturday," he said. At least 30 buildings were destroyed in the centre of town, including the town's library, pharmacy, and other businesses and houses. The municipal water supply for Lac-Mégantic was shut down in the evening because of a leak inside the blast zone, requiring trucks carrying drinking water. The leak was repaired overnight and a precautionary boil-water advisory issued. In terms of environmental impact, the Chaudière River was contaminated by an estimated 100,000 litres (22,000 imp gal; 26,000 US gal) of oil. The spill traveled down the river and reached the town of Saint-Georges 80 kilometres (50 mi) to the northeast, forcing local authorities to draw water from a nearby lake and install floating barriers to prevent contamination.
