All rights reserved. http://prioriluca.blogspot.it/ Luis Ricardo Falero was born in Toledo, Spain in 1851 into a wealthy family that he had planned a career in the maritime service of the Spanish Royal Navy. At seven he was sent to England to Richmond College to study. Here the young Falero learn English, how they want their parents, but also a passion to paint watercolors. Judged a talent early, at nine he was sent to continue his studies in Paris. At only sixteen years old he left school to study art, chemistry and engineering. But some experiments conducted during the new studies were so dangerous that wisely decided to devote himself exclusively to art. Luis Ricardo Falero begins his work as a portrait painter, to enlarge his work to people in the world classic, traditional and mythological, favoring the female nude. Falero tackles the theme of the nude female form and allegorical settings for which soon became famous. Well known for his works for the particular aspect Idalgo: blacks eyes, expression of fire, his hair and beard blacks in the style of old Spanish portraits, do not go unnoticed, even for his hobby particulates: Luis Ricardo Falero delights of mathematics, scientific studies, astronomy, and especially of the supernatural. Just the supernatural, inhabited by witches, fairies and magic influence especially its art world in 1878 and bring him his first real success with "Going to the Witches' Sabbath" (The Witches at the Sabbath). Since the consents obtained from his Witches, the painter continues on the same subject, enriching the canvas with angels, cherubs and beautiful female forms without wings personifying the planets, in mythological or fantasy settings, most of them are sensual representations of meat, but full of ideal beauty. Established in London in 1880, died at University College Hospital in 1896 at the age of 45. His works are mainly in the Museums of New York. Artist statement: "Most of all I like to paint the nude, not only because it seems more difficult, but because for me is the most perfect expression of the beauty of femininity"
