Understanding the Complex Systems Around Us: Martin Schmidt at TEDxMcDonogh
We are part of and surrounded by many biological and physical systems - they affect us and we affect them. Though they are very varied in their nature, these systems all have some similar characteristics. This talk is a quick overview of some of those characteristics, to help understand the systems network we live in, how we can expect them to act, and some ideas on what we need to do as a result.
About TEDx:
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
