The Armada is the debut album of the rock band The Armada, released on November 4, 2008.
This marks Canadian musician Jeff Martin's first rock outing since the demise of The Tea Party, and follows his mostly acoustic solo album Exile and the Kingdom.
An instrumental-only version of the track 'Morocco' was released through the band's MySpace on August 12, 2008. The whole song was later released as the first radio single.
All songs written by Jeff Martin and Wayne Sheehy, except "A Line in the Sand", written by Jeff Martin, Martin Ouellette and Brian Paul.

In which I rant about simultaneously liking and not liking this book. With a beyond predictable plot and generic, trope-y characters, when does enjoying the plot become not enough? Time Travel Notice: You can probably guess that I filmed this review a while ago. Frankly, it's just the best one that captures my thoughts on the problematic novel, and my hair looked too spot on to film again. I review the new novel from the guy who brought us Ready Player One. Does it live up to the hype? Let's find out.
I recently finished Armada by Ernest Cline. Yesterday in fact... I really wanted to do a review to talk about my thoughts on the book and whether or not I think you should give it a try. It has got some mixed reviews so far so I want to put my opinions out there. No spoilers so if you have not read the book, you're still good to watch. Jim and Them have been reading the book Armada by Ernest Cline, we can't believe that people like this book. We decided to look up some of the people that tweeted positive things and find out why. It is time to get to the bottom of this mystery www.jimandthem.com www.patreon.com/jimandthem
This was a big surprise, and not a good one. I enjoyed Ready player one, Ernest's first book, but this one is not a book I would recommend. In fact, I did not plan to di a spoiler free review, but I feel it's necessary to tell other people the truth about this book. Props to Will Wheaton, who is a brilliant narrator! My thoughts on Ernest Cline's new book, Armada. I was going to apologize for my opinion here, but then I decided, no. I'm not going to apologize. This is what I thought about it, and my opinion is valid. So no apologies. Armada: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16278318-armada?from_search=true&search;_version=service Follow me places! The book series was written for easy and light reading with characters who normally do not take themselves seriously, except when faced with evil and pain in the grandest scale. The first book introduces the major alien groups. The armada series is about a journey of humans from the first alien contact to a very advanced state of affairs from a micro and macro point of view. The series attempts to define what humans need to successfully venture into the galaxies. Humans can venture as oppressors and tyrants until they encounter a bend beyond which they can not progress. The series also deals with the relationship of aliens with...

He has gone back to the original sources and investigated the original battlegrounds and weak spots in Britain's defences. But the real strength of his book is its seamless narrative of history, which uncovers the truth behind the legends. A mass of solidly researched fact, not readily found elsewhere, is seasoned with lively, humorous and occassionally gruesome anecdote. The ...

Armada by Ernest Cline is full of great 80's gamer nostalgia. In the same vane as his earlier work Ready Player One our protagonist must use his recollection of 80's, 90's and current Sci-Fi to help solve a problem. Unlike most I really enjoyed this fast paced space epic. I didn't find the corcofany of referenced to be a hinderance to the story, but thats just this girls humble opinion. My rants and raves (mainly rants) about Ernest Cline's "Armada." My rating: 68 / 100 TL;DR: "Armada" is so heavily indebted to "Ready Player One" that it's difficult to discuss Ernest Cline's second book without talking about his debut. It's an enjoyable read, but it puts references over character development. Also, the writing and characters lack depth -- poignant ending aside. -- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theglassespush/

My adult booktrailer for Summer session INFO281 with J. Bodart.
I review Armada by Ernest Cline, a Last Starfighter-esque gamer power fantasy with a hurricane of pop culture references.
Chances are you've read the hugely popular dystopian novel Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. It's been SO popular, the rights have been sold to make a movie that will be directed by STEVEN SPIELBERG HIMSELF! Thanks to special guest Michele Boyd, we'll be chatting to Ernie about the success of his book, the ideas behind it, ideal casting for the movie and his new book, Armada!
This Episode Sponsored by Patreon Pledger Michael Bondy! When The Last Starfighter was released in 1984, few realized the turning point they were seeing on the screen. The computer graphics, crude by today's standards, but revolutionary way back when, signaled a new era of movie special effects. Got a quarter? Good! Because only you can defend The Frontier from Xur and the Kodan Armada! Also in this episode is a quick review of Ernest Cline's new novel, ARMADA, which has strong ties to The Last Starfighter and a bit of audio of me reading Armada recorded live at San Diego Comic Con 2015. Be sure to check out Armada on Amazon and listen to the audio-book read by Wil Wheaton. If you'd like a movie reviewed, check out Patreon Page for 91 Reasons! THANKS, MICHAEL! Sorry this took so long!
The Ember War, book 1: The Earth is doomed. Humanity has a chance. In the near future, an alien probe arrives on Earth with a pivotal mission: to determine if humanity has what it takes to survive the impending invasion by a merciless armada. The probe discovers Marc Ibarra, a young inventor who holds the key to a daring gambit that could save a fraction of Earth's population. Humanity's only chance lies with Ibarra's ability to keep a terrible secret and engineer the planet down the narrow path to survival. Earth will need a fleet. One with a hidden purpose. One strong enough to fight a battle against annihilation. The Ember War is the first installment in an epic military sci-fi series. If you enjoyed A Hymn Before Battle by John Ringo and The Last Starship by Vaughn Heppner, then you'...

Queen Elizabeth (FULL Audio Book) by Jacob Abbott 1803-1879 There are certain names which are familiar, as names, to all mankind; and every person who seeks for any degree of mental cultivation, feels desirous of informing himself of the leading outlines of their history, that he may know, in brief, what it was in their characters or their doings which has given them so widely-extended a fame. Consequently, great historical names alone are selected; and it has been the writer's aim to present the prominent and leading traits in their characters, and all the important events in their lives, in a bold and free manner, and yet in the plain and simple language which is so obviously required in works which aim at permanent and practical usefulness. This volume is dedicated to Queen Elizabeth. ...
