Wolf Krakowski & Fraidy Katz: Lomir Trakhtn Nor Fun Haynt (Let's Just Think About Today)
Composed by Benzion Witler (1907-1961) LET'S JUST THINK ABOUT TODAY and savor the moonlight. Tomorrow, my dear, it could be too late. Let's just think about today. Who knows? Will a time come, and the two of us be separated, and never see each other again? Only you make my heart soar, like an angel sent from heaven to me, and right now, things are good . . . Let's just think about today. Booking Inquiries: media@kamea.com

Two Yiddish Songs for Purim - Amadea
"Purim Party" with a touch of Opera, musicians Amadea (Mezzo-Soprano) and Zenta Yoshiizumi (Piano) in Berlin. Live Performance in the Heilandskirche in Berlin. February 2008. "Haynt iz Purim" (Today is Purim) & "Shalakhmones" (Purim-Gifts) are two Yiddish Folksongs that catch the spirit of Purim. Purim is the Jewish Holiday, which celebrates a real event in History back at the time of the Persian Empire (6th Century BCE). Haman, the Royal Vizier of the King Ahasueros (Xerxes), cast lots to choose a Day, when to kill all of the Jews living in the Persian Kingdom at this time. At the last moment the Queen Esther was able to save her people and instead Haman was hung on the same gallows that he had built for his murderous plot. The whole story has been documented in the Book of Esther (Old Testament). Lyrics to be added. Thanks for your patience.
