Ångermanland (help·info) is a historical province or landskap in the north of Sweden. It borders to Medelpad, Jämtland, Lapland, Västerbotten and the Gulf of Bothnia. The name "Ångermanland" comes from the Old Norse "anger", which means "deep fjord" and refers to the deep mouth of the river Ångermanälven. "Ångermanland" is "Angermannia" in Latin.
The traditional provinces of Sweden serve no administrative or political purposes, but are cultural and historical entities. The province of Ångermanland is divided between Västernorrland County, which comprises the heartland with minor parts in Västerbotten County and Jämtland County.
The arms is represented showing a dukal coronet. Blazon: "Azure three Salmons nainaint Argent finned Gules, the middle one counternainaint." It is almost identical to the coat of arms of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
Ångermanland is the sixth largest of Sweden's provinces with an area of roughly 19,500 km², about the size of Wales. A round 1,000 km² consists of water.
Tomas Folke Jonas Ledin (born 25 February 1952, in Rätan, Sweden) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer. He grew up in the town of Sandviken.
Tomas Ledin started his career in 1972 when his first single, "Då ska jag spela", was a big hit. Other successful songs followed: "Blå, blå känslor" (1973), (covered by Björn Skifs), "Knivhuggarrock" (1975), "Festen har börjat" (1976), and "I natt är jag din" (1977). At the beginning of the 70s, Ledin was influenced by hippie fashion and demonstrated against the Vietnam war. He also took part in a Swedish stage production of the musical Gospell in 1975 and performed in 140 concerts in the Swedish folkparks in 1977.
In 1979, ABBA member Benny Andersson offered him a chance to record for the group's company Polar Music. The singer joined ABBA on their 1979-1980 tour as a backing vocalist, but also got the opportunity to sing his own composition "Not Bad at All" during the show. Tomas Ledin also appeared on the ABBA Live DVD and on the Super Trouper Video.
Carl Mikael Lustig (born 13 December 1986) is a Swedish footballer playing for Scottish Premier League team Celtic. He is a right back but can also play as a central defender.
Before joining Rosenborg in 2008, Lustig played for Umeå and GIF Sundsvall.
In 2011, he attracted interested from other European clubs, such as Scottish Premier League team Celtic, English Premier League club Fulham and La Liga side Espanyol.
On 23 November 2011, Celtic announced that they had signed Lustig on a pre-contract. He officially joined the club on 1 January 2012. He made his debut for Celtic on 3 March, in a 1-1 draw with Aberdeen.
Lustig has represented Sweden at under-19 and under-21 level.
He made his debut for the Sweden national team in a 2–0 win over the USA in January 2008. As of 20 November 2011, he has been capped 23 times.
