Operation Cedar Falls, documented on this 45-minute DVD, was conducted by the U.S. and South Vietnamese forces during the Vietnam War on January 8 through January 26, 1967 to root out Viet Cong base camps in the Iron Triangle. The operation involved nearly 16,000 American troops. All scenes in this video were shot in the field by combat cameramen. Includes aerial views of the Iron Triangle, soldiers advancing through heavy jungle terrain and setting up a forward base camp, soldiers search VC tunnels, destroying bunkers and booby traps and engaging the enemy in combat.

Key Takeaway: Using the vast landscape of the final reveal shot to visually translate Chris's characters desperation and rejection. The second takeaway is not to stop the scene and to roll with Chris's unintentional fall on the steps. He used it to his advantage and recovered nicely.

MONOLOGUE showcases the skill of a single actor performing one continuous steadicam shot on location in NYC operated by Richard Patterson. The performance can be the reinvention of a soliloquy from a play or film, or a completely original piece. The length of the performance must be a minimum of one minute. The scene will be blocked out the day of the shoot at the location. The monologue must be executed within three takes.

4ZZZ-FM is an independent, community radio station operating in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. 4ZZZ started a revolution in Australian radio by pioneering a new breed of community-based radio stations nationwide. 4ZZZ was the first to broadcast in both FM and stereo in Queensland, and the first FM stereo rock music station in Australia. The radio station was instrumental in promoting contemporary Australian music by showcasing Australian artists with long lasting and ongoing effect.
4ZZZ-FM was the first Community FM broadcaster in Australia to take advantage of an initiative to extend radio broadcasting by the Whitlam Federal Government. After Whitlam and the Labor Party gained power in 1972, they introduced a wave of reformist legislation including proposed reforms to broadcasting. At the time, Australia had the second highest concentration of media ownership in the western world.
In 1971, political activists at the University of Queensland were in serious discussion about setting up an illegal "pirate" radio station in Brisbane. This discussion came as a direct result of the National Party-dominated State Government's disreputable political maneuvering, and the media's one-sided and manipulative reporting of events during the 1971 South African Springbok national rugby union tour while in Brisbane. The idea of a "pirate" radio station was simply to allow other points of view to be heard in an otherwise repressive and anti-democratic atmosphere. The first meeting to explore the idea of using radio was on 14 July 1971, the very day a State of Emergency was declared in Queensland designed specifically to control demonstrations against the South Africa’s apartheid system during the Springbok tour. A Brisbane activist, Jim Beatson, had lived in the UK in the late 1960s. There he witnessed first-hand how FM was transforming radio in Europe. Upon his return to Brisbane, Jim became aware of a move to promote community radio in Sydney, so he climbed onboard the slowly moving juggernaut of broadcasting reform and was eventually appointed to an Australian Government working party on public/community broadcasting.
Early on, Jim recognized an opportunity to "go up the right channels" in an endeavour to set up a radio station legally. He convince others of his approach, since a "pirate" radio station was likely to be short lived, and the consequences for breaking the law could be severe with heavy penalties. Lobbying for a legitimate broadcasting licence was generally considered the more desirable path to take, although it was realized that it would be much more difficult and time consuming to implement. The planning phase took three years without any guarantee of success. On the contrary, everything was stacked again this project ever succeeding.
The attraction of radio as a medium was that it was under Federal control, and not State Government control. So in theory at least, the State Government would have limited power to meddle in the new venture. Further protection might be provided by physically locating the radio station on the University of Queensland campus, where unexpected police raids, and similar police activity, was less likely. Radio was also a relatively affordable medium in financial terms.
As the thinking shifted away from the idea of a pirate radio station, the then editor of the student newspaper in 1973, Alan Knight, set about establishing a Student Union Media Committee with a focus on radio. Alan called an inaugural meeting on the University of Queensland campus based on the idea that a collective could establish its own radio station. Just three people attended the first meeting in the Semper Floreat offices, Jim Beatson, Alan Knight and Ross Dannecker. Subsequently, a loose alliance of people interested in music, information, politics, and technology slowly joined forces. The group also became aligned with the commercial manufacturers and retailers of stereo equipment that were also pushing for the introduction of FM.
Australia was slow to move to FM at first, and the Government thought it might just be a passing fad. Supporters had to lobby against an industry proposal to locate FM in the UHF band instead of the internationally accepted VHF band. UHF receivers would have been prohibitively expensive for Brisbane’s intended audience.

Operation Cedar
Project Cedar (also known as Operation Cedar) was a World War II project to deliver short-range aircraft from the United States to the USSR via Abadan, Iran in the Persian Gulf.
The project was initiated before the United States' entry into the war, and a base was established on Abadan Island in March 1942. Oil tankers, returning from delivering oil to the United States, would take Bell P-39, Curtiss P-40, and Douglas A-20 parts to Abadan, where they were assembled into aircraft and flown to Russia. The 82nd Air Depot Group was part of Project Cedar.
Another similarly secret operation, Project 19, was set up in Eritrea to repair RAF aircraft.

Operation Cedar Falls
Operation Cedar Falls was a military operation of the Vietnam War conducted primarily by US forces. The aim of this massive search and destroy operation was to eradicate the so-called "Iron Triangle", an area located in close proximity to Saigon which had become a major stronghold of the communist National Liberation Front (NLF) or Viet Cong. The operation began on January 8, 1967 and ended on January 28, 1967.
Operation Cedar Falls was the largest American ground operation of the Vietnam war: Two Army divisions, one infantry and one paratrooper brigade, as well as one armored cavalry regiment participated in the operation; altogether, Operation Cedar Falls involved 30,000 US and South Vietnamese troops. The Vietcong, however, chose to evade this massive military force by either fleeing across the border to Cambodia or hiding in a complex system of underground tunnels. Nevertheless, the Allied forces uncovered and destroyed some of the tunnel complexes as well as large stockpiles of Vietcong supplies. In the course of the operation, so-called tunnel rats were introduced to infiltrate Vietcong tunnel systems.

The MIME media type for JPEG is image/jpeg, except in older Internet Explorer versions, which provides a MIME type of image/pjpeg when uploading JPEG images. JPEG files usually have a filename extension of .jpg or .jpeg.

Building the original 4ZZ-FM Radio Studios (later renamed 4ZZZ-FM), in Brisbane, Australia, in November, 1975. The radio station was instrumental in promoting contemporary Australian music by showcasing Australian artists with long lasting and ongoing effect. 4ZZZ-FM was the first Community FM broadcaster in Australia to take advantage of an initiative to extend radio broadcasting by the Whitlam Federal Government. After Whitlam and the Labor Party gained power in 1972, they introduced a wave of reformist legislation including proposed reforms to broadcasting. At the time, Australia had the second highest concentration of media ownership in the western world. In 1971, political activists at the University of Queensland were in serious discussion about setting up an illegal "pirate" radio station in Brisbane. This discussion came as a direct result of the National Party-dominated State Government's disreputable political maneuvering, and the media's one-sided and manipulative reporting of events during the 1971 South African Springbok national rugby union tour while in Brisbane. The idea of a "pirate" radio station was simply to allow other points of view to be heard in an otherwise repressive and anti-democratic atmosphere. The first meeting to explore the idea of using radio was on 14 July 1971, the very day a State of Emergency was declared in Queensland designed specifically to control demonstrations against the South Africa’s apartheid system during the Springbok tour. See film and information here: http://vimeo.com/22916729 A Brisbane activist, Jim Beatson, had lived in the UK in the late 1960s. There he witnessed first-hand how FM was transforming radio in Europe. Upon his return to Brisbane, Jim became aware of a move to promote community radio in Sydney, so he climbed onboard the slowly moving juggernaut of broadcasting reform and was eventually appointed to an Australian Government working party on public/community broadcasting. Early on, Jim recognized an opportunity to "go up the right channels" in an endeavour to set up a radio station legally. He convince others of his approach, since a "pirate" radio station was likely to be short lived, and the consequences for breaking the law could be severe with heavy penalties. Lobbying for a legitimate broadcasting licence was generally considered the more desirable path to take, although it was realized that it would be much more difficult and time consuming to implement. The planning phase took three years without any guarantee of success. On the contrary, everything was stacked again this project ever succeeding. The attraction of radio as a medium was that it was under Federal control, and not State Government control. So in theory at least, the State Government would have limited power to meddle in the new venture. Further protection might be provided by physically locating the radio station on the University of Queensland campus, where unexpected police raids, and similar police activity, was less likely. Radio was also a relatively affordable medium in financial terms. As the thinking shifted away from the idea of a pirate radio station, the then editor of the student newspaper in 1973, Alan Knight, set about establishing a Student Union Media Committee with a focus on radio. Alan called an inaugural meeting on the University of Queensland campus based on the idea that a collective could establish its own radio station. Just three people attended the first meeting in the Semper Floreat offices, Jim Beatson, Alan Knight and Ross Dannecker. Subsequently, a loose alliance of people interested in music, information, politics, and technology slowly joined forces. The group also became aligned with the commercial manufacturers and retailers of stereo equipment that were also pushing for the introduction of FM. Australia was slow to move to FM at first, and the Government thought it might just be a passing fad. Supporters had to lobby against an industry proposal to locate FM in the UHF band instead of the internationally accepted VHF band. The full text of the press conference held by Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Monday August 9th, 2010 at Shahed Hall – Airport Highway In the Name of Allah, The Compassionate, The Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, The Lord of the world. Peace be on the Seal of prophets - our Master and Prophet Abi Al Qassem Mohammad - and on his chaste and pure Household, chosen companions and all prophets and messengers. Brothers and sisters! Ladies and gentlemen! Peace be upon you all and Allah's mercy and blessing. First, I have promised to hold a press conference in which I present indications and data that open new horizons which help in accusing the Israeli enemy of assassinating martyr Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri. This is exactly what I promised of, and I will fulfill my promise tonight Inshallah. Also since I made my announcement to this effect, comments from one party were issued: Why now? Why not years before? Why did you hide this data? Why are you unveiling it now and talking about it? Apart from the means, background and technique in which this issue was evoked – as we will talk seriously because we do not want to get engaged with each other – I will leave answering this question to the end of the press conference because the data which I will present will help, taking its nature and timing into consideration. That will help very much in answering this question. Indeed I must welcome all of you and thank you for this important and great attendance. It goes without saying that the event, the topic, the cause, the stage and the challenge necessitated on you this level of responsibility – and you are competent for this responsibility. Welcome then. I also thank all the media outlets that will show interest in what I will say and broadcast it live on air. As usual, there are several topics: I will try to be as quick as possible. I will talk also in classical Arabic to generalize the benefit abroad. I will be as quick as possible to make full use of time though the case deserves considerable time from all of us. The first topic: Israel's accusation of Hezbollah. This is an indispensable prelude. The Israeli enemy had been working on this since the very beginning and especially after the event of September 13th, 1993. All of us – all the Lebanese – know that on that very day Oslo Accord was inked. Hezbollah organized a protest in the southern suburb (Dahiyeh); it was opposed by the Lebanese government which was then under Premier Hariri. Fire was opened on the demonstrators; ten martyrs fell and more than 50 were wounded. At the time, a kind of political tension and conflict took place between Hezbollah and the first government of Premier Hariri and with Premier Rafiq Hariri in person. This is well known. The Israelis intruded through one of their agent at the time who contacted one of the security internals in the party of Premier Hariri. He worked at convincing him that Hezbollah is plotting to assassinate him and is now in the execution stage. He particularly accused brethren martyr Imad Mughniyeh and others of what he claimed and the data he gave. To comprehend the issue, I would like to present it in my way: Months after the event of September 13th, 1993, Syrian Intelligence and pursuant to a command by General Ghazi Kanaan, arrested one of the Islamic Resistance cadres in Sidon – namely brethren fighter Hajj Ali Deeb who is known as Abu Hassan Salameh and who was later killed by the Israelis. When you listen to the collaborator talking about Abu Hassan Salameh, he would be meaning brethren Ali Deeb. Brethren Ali Deeb was arrested in ambiguous unknown conditions. Days later, I knew that brethren Abu Hassan Salameh is in Anjjar. So I went to meet General Ghazi Kanaan, and I called on him to set free the brethren. He told me that he sent him that morning to Damascus and that the issue is in Damascus by now. I blamed him saying: What is the story? Has you summoned him from me for interrogation, you know that we would have responded. You know we respond in such issues especially if the case is sensitive. General Ghazi told me: (Indeed let no one say I am referring to deceased persons because the document exists and will be presented in a while) Some days ago, Premier Rafiq Hariri paid me a visit and told me: I have some data; there is a very close person to Hajj Imad Mughniyeh. He is either a politburo or one of the very close bodyguards to Hajj Imad. He attended a session (this reminds me of Zuheir Essedeeq) with Hajj Imad Mughniyeh and Abu Hassan Salameh among others whom he did not know by name. In the session, they plotted to assassinate you. The assassination will take place through ambushes which will be set for you in this road and on that road. He gave him some details. General Ghazi carries on saying: We can't remain silent on that because this is an assassination operation which is being set for the Premier. We can't contact Imad Mughniyeh but we ca

The performance can be the reinvention of a soliloquy from a play or film, or a completely original piece. The length of the performance must be a minimum of one minute. The scene will be blocked out the day of the shoot at the location. The monologue must be executed within three takes.

4ZZZ-FM is an independent, community radio station operating in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. 4ZZZ started a revolution in Australian radio by pioneering a new breed of community-based radio stations nationwide. 4ZZZ was the first to broadcast in both FM and stereo in Queensland, and the first FM stereo rock music station in Australia. The radio station was instrumental in promoting contemporary Australian music by showcasing Australian artists with long lasting and ongoing effect.
4ZZZ-FM was the first Community FM broadcaster in Australia to take advantage of an initiative to extend radio broadcasting by the Whitlam Federal Government. After Whitlam and the Labor Party gained power in 1972, they introduced a wave of reformist legislation including proposed reforms to broadcasting. At the time, Australia had the second highest concentration of media ownership in the western world.
In 1971, political activists at the University of Queensland were in serious discussion about setting up an illegal "pirate" radio station in Brisbane. This discussion came as a direct result of the National Party-dominated State Government's disreputable political maneuvering, and the media's one-sided and manipulative reporting of events during the 1971 South African Springbok national rugby union tour while in Brisbane. The idea of a "pirate" radio station was simply to allow other points of view to be heard in an otherwise repressive and anti-democratic atmosphere. The first meeting to explore the idea of using radio was on 14 July 1971, the very day a State of Emergency was declared in Queensland designed specifically to control demonstrations against the South Africa’s apartheid system during the Springbok tour. A Brisbane activist, Jim Beatson, had lived in the UK in the late 1960s. There he witnessed first-hand how FM was transforming radio in Europe. Upon his return to Brisbane, Jim became aware of a move to promote community radio in Sydney, so he climbed onboard the slowly moving juggernaut of broadcasting reform and was eventually appointed to an Australian Government working party on public/community broadcasting.
Early on, Jim recognized an opportunity to "go up the right channels" in an endeavour to set up a radio station legally. He convince others of his approach, since a "pirate" radio station was likely to be short lived, and the consequences for breaking the law could be severe with heavy penalties. Lobbying for a legitimate broadcasting licence was generally considered the more desirable path to take, although it was realized that it would be much more difficult and time consuming to implement. The planning phase took three years without any guarantee of success. On the contrary, everything was stacked again this project ever succeeding.
The attraction of radio as a medium was that it was under Federal control, and not State Government control. So in theory at least, the State Government would have limited power to meddle in the new venture. Further protection might be provided by physically locating the radio station on the University of Queensland campus, where unexpected police raids, and similar police activity, was less likely. Radio was also a relatively affordable medium in financial terms.
As the thinking shifted away from the idea of a pirate radio station, the then editor of the student newspaper in 1973, Alan Knight, set about establishing a Student Union Media Committee with a focus on radio. Alan called an inaugural meeting on the University of Queensland campus based on the idea that a collective could establish its own radio station. Just three people attended the first meeting in the Semper Floreat offices, Jim Beatson, Alan Knight and Ross Dannecker. Subsequently, a loose alliance of people interested in music, information, politics, and technology slowly joined forces. The group also became aligned with the commercial manufacturers and retailers of stereo equipment that were also pushing for the introduction of FM.
Australia was slow to move to FM at first, and the Government thought it might just be a passing fad. Supporters had to lobby against an industry proposal to locate FM in the UHF band instead of the internationally accepted VHF band. UHF receivers would have been prohibitively expensive for Brisbane’s intended audience.

This discussion came as a direct result of the National Party-dominated State Government's disreputable political maneuvering, and the media's one-sided and manipulative reporting of events during the 1971 South African Springbok national rugby union tour while in Brisbane. The idea of a "pirate" radio station was simply to allow other points of view to be heard in an otherwise repressive and anti-democratic atmosphere. The first meeting to explore the idea of using radio was on 14 July 1971, the very day a State of Emergency was declared in Queensland designed specifically to control demonstrations against the South Africa’s apartheid system during the Springbok tour. A Brisbane activist, Jim Beatson, had lived in the UK in the late 1960s. There he witnessed first-hand how FM was transforming radio in Europe. Upon his return to Brisbane, Jim became aware of a move to promote community radio in Sydney, so he climbed onboard the slowly moving juggernaut of broadcasting reform and was eventually appointed to an Australian Government working party on public/community broadcasting.
Early on, Jim recognized an opportunity to "go up the right channels" in an endeavour to set up a radio station legally. He convince others of his approach, since a "pirate" radio station was likely to be short lived, and the consequences for breaking the law could be severe with heavy penalties. Lobbying for a legitimate broadcasting licence was generally considered the more desirable path to take, although it was realized that it would be much more difficult and time consuming to implement. The planning phase took three years without any guarantee of success. On the contrary, everything was stacked again this project ever succeeding.
The attraction of radio as a medium was that it was under Federal control, and not State Government control. So in theory at least, the State Government would have limited power to meddle in the new venture. Further protection might be provided by physically locating the radio station on the University of Queensland campus, where unexpected police raids, and similar police activity, was less likely. Radio was also a relatively affordable medium in financial terms.
As the thinking shifted away from the idea of a pirate radio station, the then editor of the student newspaper in 1973, Alan Knight, set about establishing a Student Union Media Committee with a focus on radio. Alan called an inaugural meeting on the University of Queensland campus based on the idea that a collective could establish its own radio station. Just three people attended the first meeting in the Semper Floreat offices, Jim Beatson, Alan Knight and Ross Dannecker. Subsequently, a loose alliance of people interested in music, information, politics, and technology slowly joined forces. The group also became aligned with the commercial manufacturers and retailers of stereo equipment that were also pushing for the introduction of FM.
Australia was slow to move to FM at first, and the Government thought it might just be a passing fad. Supporters had to lobby against an industry proposal to locate FM in the UHF band instead of the internationally accepted VHF band. UHF receivers would have been prohibitively expensive for Brisbane’s intended audience.

In the Name of Allah, The Compassionate, The Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, The Lord of the world. Peace be on the Seal of prophets - our Master and Prophet Abi Al Qassem Mohammad - and on his chaste and pure Household, chosen companions and all prophets and messengers.
Brothers and sisters! Ladies and gentlemen! Peace be upon you all and Allah's mercy and blessing.
First, I have promised to hold a press conference in which I present indications and data that open new horizons which help in accusing the Israeli enemy of assassinating martyr Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri. This is exactly what I promised of, and I will fulfill my promise tonight Inshallah.
Also since I made my announcement to this effect, comments from one party were issued: Why now? Why not years before? Why did you hide this data? Why are you unveiling it now and talking about it?
Apart from the means, background and technique in which this issue was evoked – as we will talk seriously because we do not want to get engaged with each other – I will leave answering this question to the end of the press conference because the data which I will present will help, taking its nature and timing into consideration. That will help very much in answering this question.
Indeed I must welcome all of you and thank you for this important and great attendance. It goes without saying that the event, the topic, the cause, the stage and the challenge necessitated on you this level of responsibility – and you are competent for this responsibility. Welcome then. I also thank all the media outlets that will show interest in what I will say and broadcast it live on air.
As usual, there are several topics:
I will try to be as quick as possible. I will talk also in classical Arabic to generalize the benefit abroad. I will be as quick as possible to make full use of time though the case deserves considerable time from all of us.
The first topic: Israel's accusation of Hezbollah. This is an indispensable prelude. The Israeli enemy had been working on this since the very beginning and especially after the event of September 13th, 1993. All of us – all the Lebanese – know that on that very day Oslo Accord was inked. Hezbollah organized a protest in the southern suburb (Dahiyeh); it was opposed by the Lebanese government which was then under Premier Hariri. Fire was opened on the demonstrators; ten martyrs fell and more than 50 were wounded. At the time, a kind of political tension and conflict took place between Hezbollah and the first government of Premier Hariri and with Premier Rafiq Hariri in person. This is well known.
The Israelis intruded through one of their agent at the time who contacted one of the security internals in the party of Premier Hariri. He worked at convincing him that Hezbollah is plotting to assassinate him and is now in the execution stage. He particularly accused brethren martyr Imad Mughniyeh and others of what he claimed and the data he gave.
To comprehend the issue, I would like to present it in my way: Months after the event of September 13th, 1993, Syrian Intelligence and pursuant to a command by General Ghazi Kanaan, arrested one of the Islamic Resistance cadres in Sidon – namely brethren fighter Hajj Ali Deeb who is known as Abu Hassan Salameh and who was later killed by the Israelis. When you listen to the collaborator talking about Abu Hassan Salameh, he would be meaning brethren Ali Deeb. Brethren Ali Deeb was arrested in ambiguous unknown conditions. Days later, I knew that brethren Abu Hassan Salameh is in Anjjar. So I went to meet General Ghazi Kanaan, and I called on him to set free the brethren. He told me that he sent him that morning to Damascus and that the issue is in Damascus by now. I blamed him saying: What is the story? Has you summoned him from me for interrogation, you know that we would have responded. You know we respond in such issues especially if the case is sensitive.
General Ghazi told me: (Indeed let no one say I am referring to deceased persons because the document exists and will be presented in a while) Some days ago, Premier Rafiq Hariri paid me a visit and told me: I have some data; there is a very close person to Hajj Imad Mughniyeh. He is either a politburo or one of the very close bodyguards to Hajj Imad. He attended a session (this reminds me of Zuheir Essedeeq) with Hajj Imad Mughniyeh and Abu Hassan Salameh among others whom he did not know by name. In the session, they plotted to assassinate you. The assassination will take place through ambushes which will be set for you in this road and on that road. He gave him some details. General Ghazi carries on saying: We can't remain silent on that because this is an assassination operation which is being set for the Premier. We can't contact Imad Mughniyeh but we ca
