Oh Danny Boy the pipes the pipes are calling
From glen to glen and down the mountain side
The summer's gone and all the leaves are dying
It's you it's you must go and I must bide
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valleys hushed and white with snow
I'll be here in sunshine or in shadows
Oh Danny Boy oh Danny Boy I love you so
[ organ ]
Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen and down the mountain side
The summer's gone and all the roses fallin'
It's you, it's you, must go and I must bide
But come ye back, when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
I'll be here, oh Danny boy, I'll miss you so
But if you fall as all the flowers are fallin'
And if you're dead, as dead you well may be
I'll come and find the place where you are lying
And kneel and say an Ave there for thee
But come ye back, when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
The valley is hushed
The flowers are all dying
The meadow is white with the winter snow
Lord as I stand at the place where daddies lying
I say a silent prayer and somehow I know
He hears me there, though soft I tread above him
So now he sleeps in peace
His Danny boy's come home
................. the pipes the pipe are calling
From glen to glen and down the moutainside
The summers gone and all the leaves are falling
Its you, its you must go and I must bide
O come ye back when the sun shines on the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
For I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, Oh Danny boy I love you so
I close my eyes and still I can see
Him standing there on the hill
Tears filled his eyes as he waved goodbye to me
I can't forget, I guess I never will
He said, the valley is hushed
The flowers are all dying
The meadow is white with the winter snow
Come find the place
Where you know that I'll be lying
Say a silent prayer
Oh, Danny Boy
The pipes, the pipes are callin'
From Glen to Glen
And down the mountain side
The summer's gone
And all the roses fallin'
It's you, it's you
Must go and I must bide
Oh, Danny Boy, oh, Danny Boy
The pipes are callin'
From Glen to Glen
And even down the mountain side
The summer's gone
And all the roses fallin'
It's you, it's you
Must go and I, I must bide
Well come on back
When summer's in the meadow
When the valleys hushed
And even white with snow
Hey, I'll be there in sunshine
Or in shadows
Oh, Danny Boy, oh, Danny Boy
I love you so
Oh, Danny Boy, oh, Danny Boy
The pipes are callin'
From Glen to Glen
And even down the mountain side
The summer's gone
And all the roses fallin'
It's you, it's you
Must go and I must bide
Well come on back
When summer's in the meadow
When that valley's hushed
And even white with snow
Hey, I'll be there in sunshine
Or in shadows
Hey, Danny Boy, oh, Danny Boy
I love you so
Oh, Danny Boy, oh, Danny Boy
I love you so
Oh, Danny Boy, oh, Danny Boy
Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
'tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.
But come you back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'tis I'll be there in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.
And if you come, when all the flowers are dying
And I am dead, as dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.
And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me
And all my dreams will warm and sweeter be
If you'll not fail to tell me that you love me
I simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

A time, a time of strife
The place, the place is Ireland This Irish legend had it
And the last rose of summer fell and all the young men of
Ireland Were together to stake a blow
For Ireland’s freedom and Ireland’s liberty
There' songs for those who stayed at home and songs for
those who went away and all o'er Ireland were sad
Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
And when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I miss you so.
But if you fall, as all the flowers are dying
And you are dead, as dead you well may be
I'll come and find the place where you are lying
And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow,
or when the valley's hushed and white with snow.
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow.
Oh Danny Boy, oh Danny Boy, I love you so.
But when ye come and all the roses falling,
and I am dead, as dead I well may be,
Go out and find the place where I am lying,
And kneel and say an Ave there for me.
And I will hear tho' soft your tread above me,
and then my grave will warm and sweeter be.
For you shall bend and tell me that you love me,
Oh Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling

--- Instrumental ---
And if you come when all the stars are calling
If I am dead and dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
You'll kneel and say a loving prayer for me.
And I shall hear the soft tradewind above me
And all my grave will warmer sweeter be
And you will kneel and whisper that you love me
Oh Danny boy the pipes the pipes are calling
From glen to glen and down the mountain side
The summer's gone and all the roses are dying
'Tis you 'tis you must go and I must bide
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow

And I am dead as dead I well may be
You come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an ave there for me
And I shall hear tho' soft you tread above me
And all my grave will warm and sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
Your skin is cold
But the sun shines within your hold
Your hair is gold
But you see through a goldfish bowl
I feel old, sick, and tired
We walk the streets
Gently staring, wondering what to do
The sun in sheets
Pouring down those streets to eyes green and blue
And a ship with eight sails could come round the bend
Or a heard of bulls charging stoplights red
I'd be blind
You broke my heart, danny boy
Not your fault, danny boy
I was had at the doorstep
Played, like a two to a four-set
Had, like poor job in the bible by god
Day comes, i wake
I wake with a hard heartache
I go down to your place
We sit and chat about new york
And trips to the bayou
My smile, a trick
Tricking me and trying not to scare you
And a ship with eight sails could come round the bend
Or a heard of bulls charging stoplights red
I'd be blind
You broke my heart, danny boy
Not your fault, danny boy
I was had at the doorstep
Played, like a two to a four-set
Oh Danny Boy the pipes the pipes are calling
From glen to glen and down the mountain side
The summer's gone and all the roses falling it's you it's you must go and I must bide
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valleys hushed and white with snow
Yes I'll be here in sunshine or in shadows oh Danny Boy I love you so
Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
You must go and I must bide.
But come you back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
I will be there in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, I love you so.
And if you come, when all the flowers are dying
And I am dead, as dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an 'Ave' there for me.
And I will hear, tho' soft you tread above me
And all your kisses warm and sweeter be
And you'll not fail and tell me you love me
O Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone and all the roses falling

The pipes are calling
From glen to glen
And down the mountain side.

And all the roses falling.
Tis you, tis you,
Must go and I must bide.
But come ye back
When summer’s in the meadows,
Or when the valleys
flushed and white with snow
Tis I’ll be here
In sunshine or in shadow.

And if you come
And all the flowers are dying,
And I am dead,
As dead I well may be,

And kneel and say
An Ave there for me.
And I shall hear
The soft you tread above me,
And all my grave
Will warmer, sweeter be
And ye shall bend
And tell me that you love me,
And I shall sleep
In peace
Danny Boy was cool
All his friends thought he was funny
Until he quit school, And he ran out of money
His pops kicked him out the door, He moved to London Town
His mom said "You can do it, Danny Boy"
"If You Just Hop To It, Danny Boy"
Now he's living on the streets
Amongst the living dead
With a newspaper blanket, and a sidewalk for a bed
And Danny does'nt swim no more
He's hungry and he's cold
His mom said "You can do it, Danny Boy"
"If You Just Hop To It, Danny Boy"
Oh Danny Boy
Don't you hear the pipers calling
Down the street, and across the mountain side
Oh Danny Boy
Don't you hear the pipers calling
There saying "You can do it, Danny Boy"
"If You Just Hop To It, Danny Boy"
"You can do it, Danny Boy"
oh danny boy, the pipes the pipes are calling
from glen to glen and down the mountainside
the summers gone and all the flowers are dying

Danny came over to old New York
From Bandon town in the county Cork
He got a room on the avenue in Woodside Queens
And a job off the books doin' demolition
He was kind of different than everyone else
Oh, he liked to hang out all by himself
Didn't hit those bars in Sunnyside Queens
Went straight into the Village to check out the scene
One day on the job the foreman said
"Hey Danny Boy, we think you're a fag
With your ponytail and that ring in your ear
Hey, we don't need no homos foulin' up the air"
Danny just smiled and picked up a 2 by 4
And he split that jerk from his jaw to his ear
Said, "You can stick your job where the sun don't shine
But you're never gonna stop me bein' what I am, boy"
Then he met a man down in Sheridan Square
They moved in together for a couple of years
Said, it was the happiest he'd ever been
Doin' what he wanted and livin' his dream
We used to drink together down on Avenue B
One gray dawn he confessed to me
"Love's the only thing that makes the world go 'round
And I'm never gonna see another sunset over sweet Bandon town"
Last time I saw Dan, he was in a hospital bed
Two tubes hangin' out the nose of his head
But he smiled at me with them stone blue eyes
And he said, "Hey, how you doin' guy?
I'm history 'round here in a couple of weeks
But I did what I wanted, I got no regrets
So, when you think of me, crack a beer and smile
Hey, life's a bitch and then you die"
Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are callin'
From glen to glen and down the mountainside
The summer's gone and all the flowers are dyin'
'Tis you, 'tis you, must go and I must bide
But come you back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be there in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so
Oh Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountainside.
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling.
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow,
'Tis I'll be there in sunshine or in shadow.
Oh Danny Boy, Oh Danny Boy, I love you so.
But when ye come, and all the flowers are dying
If I'm dead, as dead I well may be.
Ye'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an Ave there for me.
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me,
And o'er my grave will warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me,
Oh, Danny boy
The pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen
And down the mountainside
The summer's gone
And all the roses falling
It's you, it's you must go
And I must bide
Oh, Danny boy, oh, Danny boy
The pipes are calling
From glen to glen and
Even down the mountainside
The summer's gone
And all the roses falling
It's you, it's you must go
And I must abide
But come ye back when
Summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed
And even white with snow
Its' I'll be there in
Sunshine or in shadow
Oh, Danny boy, oh, Danny boy
I love you so
Oh, Danny boy, oh, Danny boy
The pipes are calling
From glen to glen and
Even down the mountainside
The summer's gone
And all the roses falling
It's you, it's you must go
And I must abide
But come ye back when
Summer's in the meadow
And when the valley's hushed
And even white with snow
It's I'll be there in
Sunshine or in shadow
Oh, Danny boy, oh, Danny boy
I love you so
Oh, Danny boy, oh, Danny boy
I love you so
Oh, Danny boy, oh, Danny boy
Oh Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling.
From glen to glen and down the mountain side.
The summer's gone, and all the flowers dying.
'Tis you, 'tis you must go, and I must bide.
For you shall bend and tell me that you love me,
When I was a little biddy baby
My mamma would a-rock me in my cradle,
In them old cottonfields back home;
When I was a little biddy baby
My mamma would a-rock me in my cradle,
In them old, old cottonfields back home.
Well it may not sound too funny
But we didn't make a-very much money,
In them old cottonfields back home;
Well it may not sound too funny
But we didn't make a-very much money,
In them old, old cottonfields back home.
Chorus:
Oh when them cotton balls get a-rotten
You couldn't pick a-very much cotton,
In them old cottonfields back home;
I was down in Lousiana
'Round about a mile from a-Texicana,
In them old, old cottonfields back home.
I was down in Arkensaw
People said "What did you come here for?"
From them old cotton fields back home;
I was down in Arkensaw
People said "What did you come here for?"
From them old, old cotton fields back home.
(Chorus)
In them old, old cottonfields back home,
In them old, old cottonfields back home!
Oh Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny Boy, oh Danny Boy, I love you so
And when ye come, and all the flowers are dying
If I am dead, as dead I well may be
Ye'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an Ave there for me
And I will hear, though soft you tread above me
And all my grave shall warmer, sweeter be
For you shall bend and tell me that you love me
Oh, Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen and down the mountain side
the summer's gone and all the roses falling
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meddows
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
Yes i'll be there in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.
But when ye come and all the flowers are dying
And I am dead, as dead I well may be
Ye'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an ave there for me
And I shall here though soft you tread above me
And all my grave will warmer sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me.
(Instrumental)
And I shall here though soft you tread above me
And all my grave will warmer sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me.
And I shall here though soft you tread above me
And all my grave will warmer sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me.
O Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen and down the mountainside
The summer's gone and all the roses falling
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
O Danny boy, O Danny boy, I love you so.
But if ye come and all the flowers are dying
If I am dead, as dead I well may be,
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an Ave there for me.
And I shall hear, though soft, your tread above me
And all my grave shall warmer, sweeter be
Oh, Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side.
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling,
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow,
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow,
It's I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow,
Oh, Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so!
But when ye come, and all the flowers are dying,
If I am dead, as dead I well may be,
Ye'll come and find the place where I am lying,
And kneel and say an Avè there for me.
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me,
And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me,
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me!
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me,
And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me,
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me!
Donne
Un sens à ta vie
Oublies tout ce qu'on t'as appris
Donne
Tes pleures et tes cris
A tous ceux qui rêvent en sursis
Donne
Sans jamais compter
C'est la plus belle façon d'aimer
Donne
Ce qu'on t'a volé
A l'infini, promets-moi d'essayer
Quand tout est calme, sans un bruit
Que tu es seule face à ta nuit
Autour de toi le silence
Qui résonne comme une absence
Tu vas sombrer dans tes chimères
Te soulager des maux amers
Quand tu peux t'abandonner
Tu sais t'évader
Donne
Un sens à ta vie
Oublies tout ce qu'on t'as appris
Donne
Tes pleures et tes cris
A tous ceux qui rêvent en sursis
Donne
Sans jamais compter
C'est la plus belle façon d'aimer
Donne
Ce qu'on t'a volé
A l'infini, promets-moi d'essayer
Quand doucement tu te désarmes
Discrètement coulent tes larmes
Quand tu revoies son visage
Comme un rêve sans grillage
Et quand tu laisses tes inquiétudes
Effacer tes certitudes
Quand tu peux tout pardonner
Tu n'oublies jamais.

Danny Boy, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen and down the mountain side
Summer’s gone and all the roses dying
‘tis you, ‘tis you must go and I must pine
But come ye back when Summer’s in the meadow
Or when the valley’s hushed and white with snow
‘tis I’ll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Danny Boy, I love you so.
And when ye come and all the flowers are dying
And I’m as dead, as dead as I can be
You will come and find where I am lying, yeah
You’ll kneel down and say a prayer for me
And I shall hear though soft you tread above me
And all my grave will warmer sweeter be
If you’ll bend down and tell me that you love me
Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.

And I am dead, as dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying

Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side.
The summer's gone and all the roses falling;
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow,
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow.
And I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow;
Oh Danny Boy, oh Danny Boy, I love you so!
But when ye come, and all the flow'rs are dying,
If I am dead, as dead I well may be.
Ye'll come and find the place where I am lying,
And kneel and say an Ave there for me.
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me;
And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me;
O Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side.
The summer's gone and all the roses falling;
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow,

And I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow;
Oh Danny Boy, oh Danny Boy, I love you so!
But when ye come, and all the flow'rs are dying,
And I am dead, as dead I well may be.
Ye'll come and find the place where I am lying,
And kneel and say an Ave there for me.
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me;
And all my grace will warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me;
