In this Monday Oct. 31, 2011 photo, Venezuelan Judge Maria Lourdes Afiuni sits in her apartment while under house arrest in Caracas, Venezuela. Afiuni infuriated President Hugo Chavez when she ordered the release of an imprisoned banker who was charged with flouting the country's currency exchange controls. A day after her arrest nearly two years ago, Chavez demanded on national television that she face 30 years in prison. Now under house arrest, she is barred by a court order from speaking to the news media and instead uses Twitter to air her protests, calling herself a "judge kidnapped by order of Chavez."  BBC News
