On 2014, Wuchang to Guangshui Express Train, Train No T6784, arrived at Hankou station.

Continuous rains recently hit villages in Guangshui, Hubei Province, flooding land and trapping villagers. An old fisherman was trapped in the mudflat of a river in the city on Tuesday, and had to be rescued via ropeway in an air rescue.
As the water flowed quickly over the 40-meter wide river and the rescue time was getting shorter, local firefighters threw a rope across the river and climbed the rope to cross the crushing current. Then, the man successfully crossed the river with the help of rescuers. Take a look at the process of the bold and wise rescue.

Local firefighters evacuated hundreds of people from their homes on Sunday after a heavy downpour that caused flooding in various parts of Guangshui City, central China's Hubei Province.
The rain reached up to 242 millimeters from Sunday afternoon, flooding residential buildings, schools, nursing homes and roads.
The firefighters rescued a total of 139 people and evacuated at least 207.
According to the local meteorological station, the rain will continue for the next two days.
Meanwhile, local authorities have started the emergency response plan for possible natural disasters, including torrential flood and geological disasters.
China's meteorological authority on Sunday continued a yellow alert -- the third most serious out of the four-tiered system -- for heavy rain across most parts of the country in the coming two days.

Guangshui
Guangshui (simplified Chinese: 广水; traditional Chinese: 廣水; pinyin: Guǎngshuǐ) is a city of approximately 137,000 inhabitants located in northeastern Hubei province, People's Republic of China, near the border with Henan province. Administratively, it is a county-level city of Suizhou City.
Kuixing Tower
Kuixing Tower is a historic tower in Guangshui. Built in 1377, the tower stands on a hill overlooking the city. Kuixing is the name of a god who is said to live in the constellation of Ursa Major and who governs literature and writing. As Guangshui is a city known for its calligraphy, the connection to Kuixing is apparent. According to legend, many great poets studied in Guangshui, and Li Bai's famous poem called 'A Tranquil Night' was written there.

Local firefighters evacuated hundreds of people from their homes on Sunday after a heavy downpour that caused flooding in various parts of Guangshui City, central China's Hubei Province. The rain reached up to 242 millimeters from Sunday afternoon, flooding residential buildings, schools, nursing homes and roads. The firefighters rescued a total of 139 people and evacuated at least 207. According to the local meteorological station, the rain will continue for the next two days. Meanwhile, local authorities have started the emergency response plan for possible natural disasters, including torrential flood and geological disasters. China's meteorological authority on Sunday continued a yellow alert -- the third most serious out of the four-tiered system -- for heavy rain across most parts of the country in the coming two days. Continuous rains recently hit villages in Guangshui, Hubei Province, flooding land and trapping villagers. An old fisherman was trapped in the mudflat of a river in the city on Tuesday, and had to be rescued via ropeway in an air rescue.
As the water flowed quickly over the 40-meter wide river and the rescue time was getting shorter, local firefighters threw a rope across the river and climbed the rope to cross the crushing current. Local firefighters evacuated hundreds of people from their homes on Sunday after a heavy downpour that caused flooding in various parts of Guangshui City, central China's Hubei Province.
The rain reached up to 242 millimeters from Sunday afternoon, flooding residential buildings, schools, nursing homes and roads.
The firefighters rescued a total of 139 people and evacuated at least 207.
According to the local meteorological station, the rain will continue for the next two days.
Meanwhile, local authorities have started the emergency response plan for possible natural disasters, including torrential flood and geological disasters.
China's meteorological authority on Sunday continued a yellow alert -- the third most serious out of the four-tiered system -- for heavy rain across most parts of the country in the coming two days.
