James E. "Jim" Thomas is a screenwriter based in California. With his brother John Thomas, he wrote and/or was substantially involved with the screenplays of several films - including Predator (1987), The Rescue (1988), Predator 2 (1990), Executive Decision (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Mission to Mars (2000), Behind Enemy Lines (2001) and the short-lived TV series Hard Time on Planet Earth. He also used to be a math teacher at Metuchen High School in New Jersey.

Jim Thomas (born September 24, 1974 in Canton, Ohio) is a professional American tennis player. His highest ATP singles ranking was World No. 288, which he reached on November 2, 1998. His career high in doubles was at 29 set at August 21, 2006.

He began playing tennis at age three and is the youngest of six children (four brothers, one sister). He has 16 nephews and nieces and considers his parents most inspirational people in his life. His father is a doctor and his mother is a teacher.

Favourite players he enjoyed watching while growing up were John McEnroe and Boris Becker. Jim played four years at Stanford University from 1992-96 and earned a degree in American Studies before turning pro. He also earned All-American honours during his senior year and was a member of NCAA team champions in 1995-96.

If Thomas was not playing tennis he says he would be "a representative in Ohio State Congress" because he is interested in national and international politics. He is involved with Victory Gallop in Bath, Ohio, an equestrian therapy organisation for at-risk children. He considers hard courts to be his favourite surface.

Nicole Houston "Nikki" Reed (born May 17, 1988) is an American film and television actress, screenwriter and model. She became known in 2003, after the release of the film Thirteen, for which she co-wrote the screenplay. Reed has since appeared in several films, including Lords of Dogtown and Mini's First Time. She also portrays Rosalie Hale in The Twilight Saga.

She is married to Paul McDonald.

Reed was born in West Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Cheryl Houston, a beautician, and Seth Reed, a set designer. She has an older brother, Nathan August Reed. Her father is Jewish, and her mother, who is of Cherokee and Italian descent, is Christian; Reed was raised without religion, though she has described herself as "Jewish" and grew up around Judaism (her brother had a Bar Mitzvah).

Reed has stated that her early home life was "complicated." Her parents divorced when Reed was two years old, and she was raised solely by her mother. In 2002, when Reed was 14 years old, she moved out of her mother's house and began living on her own, mainly in apartments of the Los Angeles area.

Travis Beacham (born 1980) is an American screenwriter. He studied screenwriting at the North Carolina School of the Arts.

Beacham was born in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Just prior to graduating from the School of the Arts in 2005, Beacham co-wrote the independent feature Dog Days of Summer directed by fellow alum Mark Freiburger.

In late 2005, his first spec script Killing on Carnival Row was picked up by New Line Cinema where it is currently in development for a tentative 2009 release. As of February 2007, Neil Jordan is attached to direct.

In May 2006, Beacham was tapped to write the Warner Bros. remake of the 1981 mythology epic Clash of the Titans.

He is currently at work on a project titled The Tanglewood. Described as an "otherworldly fantasy," the pitch was picked up in March 2007 by Carnival Row producers Arnold Kopelson and Anne Kopelson. Beacham has written a treatment entitled Pacific Rim, about giant monsters, which was mistakenly rumored to be the basis for Legendary Pictures' Godzilla reboot.

Idrissa Akuna "Idris" Elba (born 6 September 1972) is a British television, theatre, and film actor who has starred in both British and American productions. He grew up in Canning Town, East London. One of his first acting roles was in the soap opera Family Affairs. He has worked in a variety of TV roles including Ultraviolet and The Inspector Lynley Mysteries. He is known for playing Russell "Stringer" Bell, a Baltimore drug lord and aspiring businessman, in HBO's critically acclaimed show The Wire. Elba is a DJ under the moniker DJ Big Driis/Big Driis the Londoner, and a hip-hop soul recording artist.

In 2009, Elba appeared on a six-episode arc of the American sitcom The Office, playing Charles Miner, Michael Scott's new boss. In 2010, he appeared in the action film The Losers in the role of Roque, the second-in-command of a black-ops team. The same year, he appeared in the thriller Takers. Elba plays the title role of Detective John Luther in the BBC television show Luther that aired on BBC One, which has finished its second series. Elba has won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of DCI Luther.
