Crisis - Red Brigades
Crisis - Red Brigades, from MiniLP HYMNS OF FAITH (1980), Original recordings 1977-1980, -- Crisis started out in late 70s UK with the rise of the punk movement. They were at the forefront of the political take on punk. Their songs were about the state of the country, the government and anti-Nazism. 1980 the decision was taken to dissolve Crisis. Douglas Pearce and Tony Wakeford then went on to form Death In June in 1981. Drummer Luke Rendall joined Theatre of Hate and lead guitarist Lester Jones formed Carcrash International.

"Bestiario Grillesco" - Marco Travaglio a Servizio Pubblico (English Subtitles)
Video Originale - www.youtube.com Dal canale di Servizio Pubblico - www.youtube.com For English speakers who watch this video, following the translation might be a little difficult because of the Italy specific terms and subjects, I have included Wikipedia links to some of the people and terms seen in the video. I'll also list include some linguistic notes for those are interested in the Italian language. One more thing to note for those who aren't familiar with Marco Travaglio, please keep in mind that not everything he says is meant to be taken literally, since he frequently uses irony to convey his points. Linguistical Notes and Errors: At 2:59 the quote says "What would happen if someone, having heard Grillo's insults, had killed him" (in Italian, "Che cosa accadrebbe se un mattino, qualcuno ascoltati gli insulti di Grillo, premesse il grilletto"). My choice of wording wasn't the best, what it is trying to get across is that what if Grillo's "verbal violence" incited someone to use actual physical violence. So, what if that person having heard Grillo's insults, killed someone (with a gun). The title of the article is "Grillo e Grilletti" which doesn't translate with the same play on words as in Italian, it means "Grillo and ...

Operation Gladio - BBC Timewatch
This is the best quality I could find. The only known copies of this series are from VHS tapes recorded during the original BBC broadcast. Nonetheless, it is excellent and full of information... Originally aired on BBC2 in 1992, Operation Gladio reveals Gladio, the secret state-sponsored terror network operating in Europe. This BBC series is about a far-right secret army, operated by the CIA and MI6 through NATO, which killed hundreds of innocent Europeans and attempted to blame the deaths on Baader Meinhof, Red Brigades and other left wing groups. Known as stay-behinds these armies were given access to military equipment which was supposed to be used for sabotage after a Soviet invasion. Instead it was used in massacres across mainland Europe as part of a CIA Strategy of Tension. Gladio killing sprees in Belgium and Italy were carried out for the purpose of frightening the national political classes into adopting US policies.

euronews reporter - Romania's 'Men in Red' to the rescue
www.euronews.com In Transylvania, in the city of Targu Mures, Northern Romania, is the headquarters of the country's emergency rescue service SMURD. It was founded just after the Romanian revolution in 1990 by Raed Arafat, a young intensive care doctor who was shocked by the high mortality rates in the country's emergency wards. After leaving the Middle East as a teenager, he studied medicine in Romania. He is now a household name and one of the country's most popular figures. Arafat says, however, that much more needs to be done to reform the healthcare service: "We need more funding. We need to work a lot on the development of human resources and on mechanisms to keep human resources here in Romania. The third issue is the infrastructure: Our hospitals are very old. We need to modernise them to make them more efficient." Thousands of well-trained medics have already emigrated westwards to countries like Germany and France where they can earn much more money, and this haemorrhaging of much needed personnel causes real problems especially in rural areas. Today, Romania is short of an estimated 40000 doctors. The country spends just four percent of its GDP on healthcare, half of the European average. Raed Arafat explained: "We are suffering from the fact that we are not giving hospitals enough money. A lot of time we are paying less then the real costs for them, and this is what is happening and this is what is causing many times the arrears to appear." We met Alexandra ...

EuroNews - Interview - The truth about Aldo Moro's murder?
Thirty years ago this month, the extreme left terrorist group, the Red Brigades murdered former Italian prime minister Aldo Moro who they'd kidnapped and held for nearly two months. Moro was the head of the Christian Democratic Party, which was moving towards a parliamentary coalition with the Italian Communists, a move opposed by some in the far left and which worried western power, particularly the US. Italy's interior minister at the time was Francesco Cossiga, who took a hard line and refused to negotiate with the Red Brigades for Moro's release. In an interview with Cossiga, EuroNews has tried to get at the truth of an incredibly tangled tale involving allegations of CIA involvement and claims of vital clues sent via a Ouija board.

Journey to the Claw Machine- Clawing for Hurricane Sandy
Since Hurricane Sandy recently hit the east coast in one of the worst natural disasters in US history, totaling well over 50 billion dollars in damage, I decided to dedicate this episode where all my plush wins go to an organization called The Teddy Bear Brigade. This organization takes donations of stuffed animals and gives them to children around the world affected by traumatic events, natural disasters, etc. Also, for every plush won, I will donate $5 to the American Red Cross! Lets see if we can snag up a ton of plush and make it a good claw day, for a good cause! You can be a part of a good cause too: teddybearbrigade.com Other Stuff you need to visit: Like my Facebook Page: www.facebook.com

shhRed Lodge - Best pow in the Rockies
The early season conditions for the Rocky Mountains are the worst they've been in years. Tired of long ascents to low angle wind slabs or lapping one of the two rock studded groomers at the local resort, we clung to the rumor that Red Lodge Mountain had twice the base of our surroundings. Naysayers jabbed, "Yeah, have a fun time at Rock Dodge," but Bomb Snow sent it and can now retort, "Suck my rooster tail!"

Irish Redhead Convention 2012
Filmed by Blue Shed for the annual red head convention 2012 www.blueshedproductions.com Music by "The Frank & Walters" The Red Head Convention, Crosshaven 2012 http Run by proud red head brother and sister team, Joleen and Denis Cronin, took place for the third year running in the beautiful sailing village of Crosshaven in County Cork. On Saturday August 18th, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, there was a feast of festivities for all foxy folk. It started as a joke in the siblings family pub and succeeded to becoming a festival of extraordinary uniqueness. Last years foxy frenzy saw 500 natural redheads descend upon the town and this years festival was even more successful. The highest percentage of natural redheads in the world live in Scotland at 13% with Ireland reigning in close behind at 10%. According to some genetic scientists redheads are becoming rarer and could become extinct in 100 years. To celebrate this day of genetic gingerness there was a REDgistration stand at the village square, Crosshaven, with Official Red Head Certificates of Genuine Foxiness. Other foxy activities included 'the big red soap box' dedicated for impromptu red head speeches and performances, a ginger chef cook -- off between Denis Cronin of Cronin's Pub and Kate Lawlor of Fenn's Quay, red head photography with Germany fashion photographer Jorg Koster, and lots of family competitions including 'best red eyebrows', 'longest red hair' and the popular 'most freckles per square inch'. euronews I talk - Is the European Commission just another red tape brigade in the EU?
www.euronews.com Alex Taylor "We all hate annoying bureaucracy and a mindless filling out of useless forms, whether it be on paper or on the net. Is the European Commission doing anything to reduce red tape from our daily lives or is it part of the problem? Here to answer your questions is the EU Commissioner for Inter-Institutional Relations and Administration Maroš Šefčovič. Did I pronounce your name right?" Maroš Šefčovič: "Perfect, very good, very good pronunciation." Alex Taylor: "You say Maroš....?" Maroš Šefčovič: "Cheftchovitch" Alex Taylor: "Cheftchovitch. OK right. You're ready to answer our citizens' questions?" Maroš Šefčovič: "Absolutely, yes." Alex Taylor: "First question to you from Rafael." "I want to know why the administration is so burdened with paperwork. There's so much of it in relation to the administration; unemployment, the school enrolment of children.... there's just too much! There are plenty of Municipalities, lots of jurisdictions, regional and federal and it's very difficult to understand it all here in Brussels." Alex Taylor: "We all thought that the internet was going to make things much easier, less paper and so forth. It's not the case, why?" Maroš Šefčovič: "Not always but I have to agree with our citizen here that sometimes we still have overlapping competencies, especially between the local and national level and sometimes even the European one." Alex Taylor: "Can't you do anything about that?" Maroš Šefčovič: "Yes of course. I think ...
