RODE Lavalier microphone
RODE Lavalier microphone
www.dvestore.com The RODE Lavalier is a surprisingly great sounding lav that enters the market in a remarkably strong fashion. Here's a brand-new microphone that offers totally unique features at an affordable price. The innovative Micon connector allows the user to easily switch from the most common style connectors found on today's recording devices, wireless transmitters, as well as the common mixer board's industry standard XLR ports. Imagine that. Never having to send in a lav to be recabled just because you changed venues or upgraded your wireless system. Believe it! Ever use a lavalier outdoors on a windy day? You've obviously then had to contend with gusts that rumble your mic. Not so with the RODE furry wind jammer - included free, a useful problem solver. Tired of misplacing your small lav clips, spare foam windscreens, keep them all nice and safe inside the protective "anti-trauma" case. It's just like a waterproof pelican case - only you didn't have to run out and buy another separate item - RODE made it FREE. And if all this wasn't enough - a generous 5 Year "No Questions Asked" Warranty seals the deal. Watch out world. RODE is making serious headway! Order yours today. use Coupon CODE "INUG0D03H89" and receive a FREE MICON-2 Connector! www.dvestore.com

Lavalier microphone comparison: Audio-Technica ATR-3350 vs Sony ECM-55B
Lavalier microphone comparison: Audio-Technica ATR-3350 vs Sony ECM-55B
My first youtube videos were made with my camera's on-board stereo microphone. The camera is a Lumix GH1, and the mics are fairly good as far as prosumer video DSLR cameras go. One problem is that the camera's automatic gain control cannot be turned off, and having unexpected gain changes during an audio recording is not preferable. Another problem is that the audio preamplifiers in the camera are somewhat noisy, and lead to a lot of hiss (high noise floor) in the recording. Finally, it's impossible to get good sound when the microphone is positioned far away from the sound source when room tone and echoes are present. The solution to all of these problems is to make use of a lavalier or lapel microphone and use a low-noise dedicated recording device. I use a Zoom Handy H4 recorder. The H4's on-board mics are really nice, but it is still preferable to have a microphone very close to the subject's mouth to capture detailed, high-quality sound. I started using an Audio Technica ATR-3350, which is only $20 or $30 new, and the mic is OK, but has very little high-frequency response. This can be corrected with equalizer settings in post-production fairly well. I recently upgraded to a Sony ECM-55B, which sounds better, but I am not sure it was worth the expense. I was really expecting the mic to have a much higher output level than the ATR-3350, thus allowing me to turn down the gain on my recorder and have a much lower noise floor. As it happens, the mic requires even more ...

Bluetooth transmitter Lavalier test - DSLR FILM NOOB
Bluetooth transmitter Lavalier test - DSLR FILM NOOB
www.dslrfilmnoob.com I received a lot of requests to test the Bluetooth wireless adapter out with a lavalier microphone. Scott over at thefrugalfilmmaker.com recommended a radio shack lavalier. So I ran down to the store and picked one up. I ran 2 tests with the lavalier microphone setup and i'm not very happy with the results. I'm not 100% sure why this setup works well with my rode videomic, but not with a lapel mic. I'll have to do some more testing and keep you posted. Rode Videomic vs Sennheiser wireless lavalier
dslrhd.com - Shot on the Canon T2i, this test shows the sound differences between a Rode VideoMic plugged directly into the T2i and a Sennheiser wireless lav recorded on a Zoom H2. You can hear the sound of both mics from several feet away to right next to the VideoMic. You'll also hear the VideoMic direct to the Zoom and the mics built into the Zoom for comparison. Like Us On Facebook: goo.gl Follow Me on Twitter: twitter.com Website: www.tekbeattv.com Rode Lavalier Mic goo.gl A review of the Rode Lavalier Mic. Many have asked me how I do my audio recordings for some of my videos and my answer is a lavalier mic. They are great ways to record audio without having interference/noise also be recorded. I had the opportunity to test out the Rode Lavalier Mic and I gotta say it is one of the best lavalier mics I have used. You can literally hear for yourself in the video as I do have a comparison between the lavalier and the built in DSLR audio recording. Lavalier mics like the Rode Lavalier can be clipped onto clothes, hats etc to hide them and with the Micon adapter capability of the Rode Lavalier you can quickly adjust to using an XLR connection, a 3.5mm jack etc. easily. The only downside that I did find with the Rode Lavalier was the Micon connection device as it did seem like it might have issues with durability in the future as threading the adapters does take patience. If you don't thread it properly you end up damaging the lavalier mic. Rode Lavalier Mic Review Rode Lavalier Mic Review Rode Lavalier Mic Review

Audio Technica ATR3350 Lavalier Microphone
Audio Technica ATR3350 Lavalier Microphone
See an update to this review over at youtu.be The Zoom H1 records great sound but for video, you don't necessarily want an imposing recording device in your picture. And trying to place the microphone outside the picture introduces all sorts of ambient noise. Using the $20 US ATR3350, you get an inexpensive lavalier microphone (sometimes referred to as a lapel mic) with passable quality. The key is that it gets the microphone close to your actor or talent though it may require some EQ (equalization) to roll off the low-end rumble, mid level harshness, and high-end brashness.

Hama LM-09 Lavalier Microphone Review
I bought a nifty little mic and I decided to make a review off it. It sounds really good, I'm honestly surprised since I've had such problems trying to get my headset to sound good. This one just sounds good off the bat almost. Listen for yourself. Also, sorry about the hair, I actually had already gone to bed at night as I jumped up only to put on some clothes and record a video. I just got inspired! Or maybe electrocuted! Still, enjoy. And do tell me if you want more reviews, this channel is not only for AS videos. :P Thanks to Nekkoart for the thumbnail, she wanted to spice my videos up a bit *loves* www.youtube.com

Lavalier Mic Connected Directly to DSLR Audio Test (Canon 7D)
Lavalier Mic Connected Directly to DSLR Audio Test (Canon 7D)
devowe.com - Audio Technica ATR-3350 connected directly to the Canon 7D DSLR. I wanted to do a quick audio test to see how well the 7D handled the ATR3350 connected directly to the microphone port. Notice the audio levels are extremely high and my voice is distorted. Using the ATR3350 connected directly to a DSLR is not a very good option at all unless you have Magic Lantern for the 550D (T2i), 5D Mark II, or other DSLR. Buy the Audio Technica ATR-3350 here: amzn.to Zoom H1 digital audio recorder: amzn.to With Magic Lantern, you can control the gain control. Since the 7D has automatic gain control (AGC), the levels are blown way out to -0db. ☞ PROS: ✏ Convenient way to have on-talent audio without extra equipment ✏ Could work very well with a DSLR that has the Magic Lantern firmware hack (Such as the Canon 5D Mark II, T2i, or others) ☞ CONS: ✏ Nearly unusable audio because of the AGC (Automatic Gain Control) on the 7D ✏ Only records to left channel with provided 3.5mm connection (simple solution would be to buy a 3.5mm mono to stereo adapter) Please bestow a ♥ like or leave a ✉ comment if you have questions!
