Entry from: San Agustin, Colombia Entry Title: "San Agustin" Entry: "So originally the idea from Ipiales was to go to Popayan for a day or two and after head to San Agustin after but because the bus journey had been shorter than I had been told and the fact that I had arrived in Popayan bus station at half 4 in the morning I decided to enquire about buses to San Agustin. In the process I met a lovely woman who had come the same direction as me and was going to visit her husband who was working in that area. We went for coffee and she told me all she knew about the place and its archeological sites. She swayed me towards going, the guides will tell you that this route is very dangerous and should not be taken as guerilla forces are known to be in the area. However the nice woman I met told me otherwise and said as long as you were travelling in the day there would not be a problem. I figured as she was going the same way she wouldn't lie to me and I decided to get the same bus with her at 6am. it's the first bus headed that way, it takes 5 hours and costs 25000peso but there are some that you can get for 20000, just not at this hour. Again guides might tell you that there are limited busses going this way but there are busses every two hours or so this direction. The road starts off not too bad but <b>...</b>
