Dallas Holm (born November 5, 1948 in St. Paul Park, Minnesota) is a singer-songwriter of Christian music, whose musical ministry has spanned almost four decades. His influence has been greatest in contemporary Christian music. While he has had several hit singles in CCM, he is best known for the favorite inspirational song of the resurrection of Christ, "Rise Again."

He resides in Lindale, Texas when not on tour.

Peter Holm (born Peter Sjöholm 13 June 1947) is a former pop singer and Swedish playboy who was married to actress Joan Collins between 1985-1986. He became her manager and co-produced two of her television mini-series with her, Sins and Monte Carlo.^[1][2]

Holm's pre-Collins singing career began with a psychaedelic phase in the late 1960s before his high-pitched voice found its natural home doing Euro-pop. His best known song is "Monja" (aka "Monia" in the French version). Other songs included "Syster Jane" (a Swedish cover version of New World's "Sister Jane") and "You Will Be Mine."

Marriage[link]

Holm married actress Joan Collins in November 1985. The marriage was annulled in December 1986.

According to Collins, the marriage quickly degenerated into a string of "interminable arguments... and hearty crockery-throwing rows." She said Holm was a bully with a ferocious temper and "the most combative person I've ever met."

The marriage was annulled in December 1986 and Holm was locked out of Collins's new house. Undaunted, he gave poolside interviews (in leopard-skin briefs) blaming Collins's identification with her Dynasty character. "Joan is consumed by Alexis, that's why she's doing this. She really loves me and I love her and we'll get back together, I know it." He contested a pre-nuptial agreement, limiting him to 20 per cent of Collins's $5 million earnings during their 13 months together. Collins hired flamboyant divorce lawyer Marvin Mitchelson and the proceedings became a media circus.

When Holm and his supporters picketed Collins' Beverly Hills house waving placards, he became a national punchline. David Letterman joked about Peter Holm's Top 10 Grievances Against Joan Collins, which included "No. 5. Wouldn't Support His Campaign for Presidency of 'Weaselly Gigolo Club'" and "No. 2. Somebody Finally Told Him What 'Parasite' Means."

At the trial, Mitchelson produced Holm's secret lover, an aspiring starlet called Romina Danielson, and grilled her so intensely she fainted on the stand, conveniently revealing her cleavage right by photographers.

Holm lost his case, collecting only $1 million as agreed in the pre-nup. A New York radio station hosted a fundraiser for him and he retreated to Switzerland. Directly after her final court appearance Collins famously declared "I don't need a husband, what I need is a wife!"

Collins gave her candid side of the break-up in Second Act, her second volume of memoirs, and subsequently referred to him only as "the Swede."

Michael Holm

Michael Holm (born Lothar Walter, July 29, 1943, Stettin, today Szczecin) is a German singer, musician, songwriter and producer. He is primarily known as a Schlager singer. Although his first appearance in the hit parade was in 1962 ("Lauter Schöne Worte"), he had his first big hit in 1969. "Mendocino", the German adaptation of a song by the Sir Douglas Quintet, was the biggest selling single that year in Germany. The record was released in September 1969, reached number three for five weeks, selling over a million copies.^[1] Ariola presented him with a gold record in October 1970.^[1]

Further hits such as "Barfuß im Regen" (1970), "Tränen lügen nicht" (literally, "Tears Don't Lie", recorded in English as "When A Child Is Born") (1974) and "Musst Du jetzt gerade gehen, Lucille" (1977) followed. He also composed the music for the popular international horror movie, Mark of the Devil (1970). Outside of Germany, he is best known for his work as a member of the new age band, Cusco, along with Kristian Schultze.

He was nominated three times for a Grammy Award.

Martin Holm (November 27, 1976 – June 24, 2009) was a Swedish Muay Thai kickboxer and former WMC Muaythai World Champion. In K-1 he fought against some of the biggest stars at the time, like Ernesto Hoost, Ray Sefo, Michael McDonald and Glaube Feitosa.

Biography and career[link]

When Martin Holm was seven years old, he started swimming in the local swimming school. A few years later he became interested in Aikido and practiced it for four years. Soon after he became interested in Shotokan Karate. When he was 14 he entered one of the Muay Thai gyms in Stockholm, "Slagskeppet Muay Thai," where he met Jörgen Kruth and immediately was taken by the sport.

Martin was 18 years old and vacationing in Thailand with friends when he had his first fight. He was not prepared for the fight but his opponent was an experienced local Muay Thai fighter. Holm attacked hard, fired a lot of shots and won the fight by a knockout with knee strikes at the 30 second mark in the first round. Martin decided to follow his training friend Jorgen Kruth to the most professional fighting gyms in Scandinavia, Vallentuna Boxing Camp www.vbc.se, in an attempt to get to the next level. From Vallentuna he had some professional fights and later entered K-1 two years after Kruth.^[1]

Holm fought over 30 fights before the WMC World Title match in 1999, in Thailand.

In 2002, he made his K-1 debut at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2002 in Nagoya. He knocked out Namibian Jokki Oberholtzer at 1'38" in the first round. His next fight was against Brazilian karate practitioner Glaube Feitosa. Holm won again by a first round knock out.

In 2002, in Saitama, Japan, he faced his toughest opponent yet, K-1 superstar Ray Sefo from New Zealand. Holm lost the evenly fought battle by majority decision. He finished his rookie year in K-1 at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2002 Finals undercard against Canadian Michael McDonald.

In 2003, in Paris, Holm fought against four-time K-1 World Champion Ernesto Hoost and lost by unanimous decision.

In 2004, after his fight against Albanian Xhavit Bajrami, as a rising star in K-1 and in a surprise to all his fans, Martin Holm retired from fighting in order to focus on his family and newborn son.

After three years off, in January 2007, he announced he will be making his comeback to K-1.^[2]

Martin Holm was found dead on 24 June 2009. The cause of death was suicide by hanging. Holm had been privately struggling with depression and an emotional imbalance.
