Micaiah (Hebrew: מיכיהו Mikay'hu "Who is like Yah?"), son of Imlah, is a prophet in the Hebrew Bible. He is not to be confused with Micah, prophet of the Book of Micah.
The events leading up to the appearance of Micaiah are illustrated in 1 Kings 22:1-12. In 1 Kings 22:3-4, the King of Israel (identified later, in 1 Kings 22:20, as Ahab ) goes to Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, and asks if he will go with him to take over Ramoth-gilead which was under the rule of the king of Aram. Jehoshaphat the Judahite requests that Ahab the Israelite, “Inquire first for the word of the Lord” (1 Kings 22:5). Ahab then calls on his prophets and asks if he should go into battle against Ramoth-gilead. The prophets responded by telling the king of Israel to go into battle, stating that the Lord (Adonai) will deliver Ramoth-gilead into the hand of the king (1 Kings 22:6). Jehoshaphat asks if there are any other prophets of whom to inquire the word of the Lord (YHWH). Ahab mentions Micaiah the son of Imlah, but expresses dislike for him because his past prophecies have not been in favor of him (1 Kings 22:7-8). A messenger is sent to bring Micaiah to the king to give his prophecy. The messenger tells Micaiah to give a favorable prophecy to Ahab (1 Kings 22:12-13).

Plot: The young Jeremiah grows up in a priest's family in the village of Anathoth, near Jerusalem. God appears to Jeremiah in different human guises on several occasions, and makes it clear to him that he has been selected to announce God's message to the people of Jerusalem: a mighty ruler from the north will attack the Kingdom of Judah if the people there continue to worship false idols, and fail to remember the One God. No-one in Anathoth believes Jeremiah's prophecy, however. Instead, he is accused of blasphemy and is physically attacked - and not even his family comes to his aid. Nevertheless, with the help of Baruch, a temple scribe who hears Jeremiah's first sermon and becomes his disciple, Jeremiah succeeds in announcing the word of God. The prophet's message of impending doom incurs only the wrath and rejection of the ruling classes, the priesthood and the King. Jeremiah can find no audience, and lands up in captivity again - but even though he even has to leave his true love for Judith to fate, he still sticks firmly to his mission. It is only when war with the enemy forces from Babylon seems inevitable that the people of Jerusalem start to grow restless, and Jeremiah gradually starts to win support. However the King, who is taking the advice of the false prophet Hananiah, is certain that the country's powerful neighbours, the Egyptians, will come to his assistance. Shortly afterwards, however, the Babylonians lay siege to the Holy City. Although the King now believes Jeremiah, he still finds it impossible to make the decision to surrender the city. Jerusalem goes up in flames, and the people are led off into exile in Babylon.

See the vapours fading
As they stare into the night
Every time
Its getting harder
To be buttoned up so tight
Don't do anything to us today
(You're only flesh and bone, you'll really never know)
There's nothing left to take away
(You're only flesh and bone, you'll really never know)
I know the crash is coming
Cause I smell the fuel in the morning
I hear the engines stop
But I'll find my own way down
I hear the sleeper's waking
As they stare into the sky
All our lives
The rivets breaking
As we struggle up so high
Don't do anything to us today
(You're only flesh and bone, you'll really never know)
There's noone left
Who wants to stay
(You're only flesh and bone, you'll really never know)
I know the crash is coming
Cause I smell the fuel in the morning
I hear the engines stop
But I'll find my own way down
I see the takers taking
And we live it all again
Every time a little closer
To the truth without the pain
Don't do anything to us today
(You're only flesh and bone, you'll really never know)
There's nothing left to play the game
(You're only flesh and bone, you'll really never know)
I know the crash is coming
Cause I smell the fuel in the morning
I hear the engines stop
But I'll find my own way down
(You'll really never know)
I know the crash is coming
Cause I smell the fuel in the morning
I hear the engines stop
