Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975), better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is an American rapper, entrepreneur, investor, record producer, and actor. He rose to fame with the release of his albums Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2003) and The Massacre (2005). His album Get Rich or Die Tryin' has been certified eight times platinum by the RIAA.
Born in the South Jamaica of Queens, New York City, Jackson began drug dealing at the age of twelve during the 1980s crack epidemic. After leaving drug dealing to pursue a rap career, he was shot at and struck by nine bullets during an incident in 2000. After releasing his album Guess Who's Back? in 2002, Jackson was discovered by rapper Eminem and signed to Interscope Records. With the help of Eminem and Dr. Dre, who produced his first major commercial successes, Jackson became one of the world's highest selling rappers. In 2003, he founded the record label G-Unit Records, which signed several successful rappers such as Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo.

Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam (born April 16, 1973), better known as simply Akon, is a Senegalese American R&B and hip hop recording artist, songwriter, record producer and businessman. He rose to prominence in 2004 following the release of "Locked Up", the first single from his debut album Trouble.
He has since founded two successful record labels, Konvict Muzik and Kon Live Distribution. His second album, "Konvicted" received three nominations for the Grammy Awards in two categories, Best Contemporary R&B Album for "Konvicted" album and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Smack That" and "I Wanna Love You". He has worked with numerous performers such as Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Eminem, Whitney Houston, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg and many more artists. He has had five Grammy Awards nominations and has produced many hits for artists such as Lady Gaga, Colby O'Donis, Kardinal Offishall and Leona Lewis. Lady Gaga and T-Pain are two artists who were given their chance at fame by Akon.

Andy Milonakis
Andrew Michael "Andy" Milonakis (born January 30, 1976) is an American actor, writer, rapper, and comedian of Greek descent best known for creating and starring in The Andy Milonakis Show on MTV and MTV2.
Milonakis was born with a congenital growth-hormone condition that gives him the outward appearance and voice of an adolescent even though he is an adult in his late-30s. In his high school years at John Jay High School, in Cross River, New York, he would use comedy as a means to cope with incessant bullying.^{[citation needed]} "Humor is a great defense mechanism," says Milonakis. "If you're a serious, fat, young-looking kid, you're not going to be the most popular guy in high school."
As a comedian, Milonakis began dabbling in comedy while working at his tech support job at a Manhattan accounting firm in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In his free time he began taking comedy classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City and eventually started gaining attention on the internet for the homemade sketches he posted on his website.

Lawrence Cennett, better known by his stage name Baby Boy da Prince is a rapper from New Orleans. His rap career began at the age of 16 opening for No Limit Records in his hometown. He was first signed to the Take Fo' Record label in 2002, with his debut album "Like Dat". The name "Baby Boy" was given to him by his manager Melvin and he has always called himself "Da Prince". Baby Boy da Prince is the brother of rappers Choppa and Brittany Ni'Cole (Lil' Brittany).
In 2006, the radio station Q93 (WQUE) started playing his debut single "The Way I Live" and within three weeks, it was the number one record. Universal Republic Records took notice and signed Baby Boy da Prince as its premiere hip-hop act.
Additionally, he recorded "The Way I Live - Saints Remix" to celebrate the New Orleans Saints recent success, and has become a success in the New Orleans community, where it is being played locally. He updated and remade the remix and let local radio station B97 (WEZB) host it on their website, where it is available for free download. "The Way I Live" was released onto the radio on September 6, 2006. "The Way I Live" was made for his younger brother Adrian.

Antwan André Patton (born February 1, 1975), better known by his stage name Big Boi, is an American rapper, song-writer, record producer and actor, best known for being a member of American hip hop duo OutKast alongside André 3000. His work in the duo has produced six studio albums. During the duo's hiatus, he and André 3000 each announced plans to release a solo album. Big Boi's solo debut Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty was released in July 2010 to respectable sales and critical acclaim.
Patton was born and spent the first half of his childhood in Savannah, Georgia, attending Herschel V. Jenkins High School before moving to Atlanta with his Aunt Renne. Eventually he decided to pursue his interest in music at Tri-Cities High School, a Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School.
He had a strong interest in hip-hop music, and met André "3000" Benjamin while attending Tri Cities High School in the early-1990s. The two eventually joined forces as OutKast and signed with LaFace Records.

Big Boy (radio host)
Big Boy (born Kurt Alexander; September 8, 1969) is an American radio host currently heard on Los Angeles Rhythmic contemporary station KPWR (Power 106) in the mornings from 5 to 10, as well as numerous radio stations across the United States. His stage name derives from his formerly large build, which he modified through duodenal switch surgery in 2003, leading to a weight loss of over 250 pounds.
Big Boy was born in Chicago, but moved to Los Angeles at age 2. After becoming acquainted with the music industry while DJ-ing Culver City High School parties, Big Boy soon became a bodyguard for the music group The Pharcyde. Big Boy was friends with the Baka Boyz, the morning show hosts at Power 106. Always being a funny personality, Big Boy was offered a hosting position with the station, soon proving successful in nighttime and afternoon hosting spots.
Big Boy's image became well known throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area in the late 1990s and early 2000s, when Power 106 placed his nearly-nude 500-plus pound image onto billboards throughout the area.^{[citation needed]}

Big Daddy Kane
Antonio Hardy (born September 10, 1968) better known by his stage name Big Daddy Kane, is a Grammy Award-winning American rapper who started his career in 1986 as a member of the rap group the Juice Crew. He is widely considered to be one of the most influential and skilled MCs in Hip Hop. Regarding the name Big Daddy Kane, he said: "The Big Daddy part and the Kane part came from two different things. The Kane part came from my fascination with the martial arts flicks when I was young. The Big Daddy came from something that happened on a ski trip one time involving a young lady."
In 1984, Kane became friends with Biz Markie, and he would co-write some of Biz's best-known lyrics. Both eventually became important members of the Queens-based Juice Crew, a collective headed by renowned producer Marley Marl. Kane signed with Marl's Cold Chillin' Records label in 1987 and debuted the following year with the 12" single "Raw," an underground hit. Kane is known for his ability to syncopate over faster hip hop beats, and despite his asthmatic condition he is acknowledged as one of the pioneering masters of fast-rap. His sense of style is renowned and set a number of late-1980s and early-1990s hip hop trends (high-top fades, velour suits, and four-finger rings). The backronym "King Asiatic Nobody's Equal" is often applied to his moniker.

Marcel Theo Hall (born April 8, 1964,Harlem, New York) better known by his stage name, Biz Markie, is an American rapper, beatboxer, DJ, comedian, singer, reality television personality, and commercial spokesperson. He is best known for his single "Just a Friend", an American Top 10 hit in 1989. In 2008, "Just a Friend" made #100 on VH1's list of the 100 greatest hip hop songs of all time.
Markie has been called "the Clown Prince of Hip Hop."
Biz Markie's career began on Long Island, New York in the early 1980s, where he established his reputation for beat-boxing and rapping. MC Shan and Roxanne Shante were part of Marley Marl's Cold Chillin' Records, and Biz beatboxed on Shante's underground hit "Def Fresh Crew" (1986). This lent credibility to his recording career and put Cold Chillin' on the map. In the same year, Biz Markie's debut single, "Make the Music With Your Mouth, Biz", was released on Prism Records. He released his debut album, Goin' Off, which attracted a fair amount of attention, largely due to the lead single, "Make the Music With Your Mouth, Biz". The album also featured the underground hit singles "Nobody Beats The Biz", "The Vapors" and "Pickin' Boogers".

Robert Barisford "Bobby" Brown (born February 5, 1969) is an American R&B singer-songwriter, occasional rapper, and dancer.
Brown started his career as one of the frontmen of the pop group New Edition, from its inception as The Bricks in 1978 until his forced exit from the group in 1986 following a period of misbehavior on his part. Starting a solo career, he became a hit success with his second album, Don't Be Cruel, which spawned a number of hit singles including the co-self penned "My Prerogative", which became his signature hit. Brown had a string of top ten hits on various Billboard charts between 1986 and 1992, and is a recipient of a Grammy Award. Brown is noted as a pioneer of New Jack Swing music, a fusion of hip-hop and R&B.
Brown was most noted in recent years as the ex-husband of pop singer Whitney Houston. Brown and Houston later gained notoriety co-starring in the reality show, Being Bobby Brown.
Brown was born in Boston as one of eight children to Herbert "Pops" and Carole Brown. Herbert was a construction worker and Carole was a schoolteacher. Brown and his family grew up in Roxbury's Orchard Park Projects. As a child, Brown got involved in petty theft including robbery later saying "I didn't wanna ask my mother or my father because they didn't have a lot of money", stating that whenever he saw something he wanted, "I'd just go to the store and take it." Brown also grew up around gangs. At ten, he was shot in the knee during a fight with a rival gang while attending a block party. Brown said his life reached a turning point at eleven after seeing one of his friends dead from multiple stab wounds at another party. Brown's brother Tommy would later say after that moment, Brown took "his career, schooling, his whole life more seriously." Brown's first taste of being onstage occurred at the age of three when one of his childhood idols, James Brown, performed in Boston.

Brooke Ellen Bollea (born May 5, 1988), better known by her stage name Brooke Hogan, is an American singer, actress, model, socialite, and television personality, and the oldest child of professional wrestler Hulk Hogan. In 2009 She starred as Renny Davidson, the Love interest of Kit Walker (Ryan Carnes) in the 2-part The Movie Network/Syfy comic book Miniseries The Phantom.

On June 28 Cassidy released his second studio album I'm A Hustla it debuted at #5 on the U.S. Billboard 200, with 93,000 copies sold in the first week.

After Step by Step was cancelled in 1998, she continued to appear in television movies, such as Showtime's Reefer Madness and 2005's Who's Your Daddy?.
In 2006 she was a regular cast member in MTV's Wild 'n Out, an improv comedy show similar in structure to Whose Line Is It Anyway? She also appeared in commercial called "But He Has Bud Light" that aired during Super Bowl XLI, in which her male companion wants to pick up a hitchhiker who has Bud Light beer in one hand and an axe in the other.

Clipse
Clipse is a hip hop duo formed by brothers Gene "No Malice" Thornton (formerly known as "Malice") and Terrence "Pusha-T" Thornton in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1992. The group is heavily affiliated with the production team The Neptunes and are signed to Star Trak Entertainment.
The Thornton brothers were born in The Bronx, New York and moved to Norfolk, Virginia. They formed the group Jarvis in 1992, and were introduced to Pharrell Williams, one half of the production team The Neptunes, in 1993. Impressed with their lyrical talents, Williams formed a working relationship with the duo. He eventually helped them secure a recording contract with Elektra Records in 1997. Under Elektra, and with The Neptunes handling its production, Clipse recorded its debut album, Exclusive Audio Footage. The group's first single, "The Funeral", helped to generate fan interest in the album, but failed to make a significant commercial impact. With "The Funeral" deemed a failure, Exclusive Audio Footage itself was shelved indefinitely. Clipse was released from its record contract shortly thereafter.

Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr. (born March 13, 1972), better known by his stage name Common (previously Common Sense), is an American hip-hop artist and actor.
Common debuted in 1992 with the album Can I Borrow a Dollar? and maintained a significant underground following into the late 1990s, after which he gained notable mainstream success through his work with the Soulquarians. His first major-label album, Like Water for Chocolate, received widespread critical acclaim and tremendous commercial success His first Grammy award was in 2003 for Best R&B Song for "Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip-Hop)" with Erykah Badu. Its popularity was matched by May 2005's Be, which was nominated in the 2006 Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album. Common was awarded his second Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group, for "Southside" (featuring Kanye West), from his July 2007 album Finding Forever. His best-of album, Thisisme Then: The Best of Common, was released on November 27, 2007.
Common has also initiated a burgeoning acting career, starring significant roles in such films as Smokin' Aces, Street Kings, American Gangster, Wanted, Terminator Salvation, Date Night, Just Wright, Happy Feet Two, and New Year's Eve. He also narrated the award-winning documentary Bouncing Cats, about one man's efforts to improve the lives of children in Uganda through hip-hop/b-boy culture. Common currently appears in Hell on Wheels, a dramatic television series on AMC that debuted in November 2011.

Corey Holcomb
Corey Holcomb is an American stand-up comedian, radio host, and actor. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Holcomb got his start in comedy with the help of another Chicago-area comedian, Godfrey.
Often billing himself as the "ghetto Dr. Phil", most of Holcomb's standup material revolves around relationships, particularly relationships gone wrong. As an actor, Holcomb has appeared as guest star on several sitcoms such as Half & Half, Everybody Hates Chris and Tyler Perry's House of Payne, as well as minor roles in films such as Like Mike and Dance Flick. Holcomb is a recurring voice actor for the Family Guy spin-off The Cleveland Show, for which he provides the voice of Robert Tubbs, Cleveland's rival and the ex-husband of his wife Donna. Holcomb has been a regular personality on Jamie Foxx's satellite radio channel The Foxxhole since 2007. He currently hosts his own program, The Corey Holcomb 5150 Show, on Tuesday nights on the Foxxhole.

Crime Mob
Crime Mob was a hip hop/crunk group consisting of six members: M.I.G., Cyco Black, Princess, Lil' Jay, Diamond, and Killa C.
Killa C ended up getting kicked out of the group before they released their second studio album partly due to his December 2005 conviction on child molestation charges.
Diamond left the group to pursue a solo career in 2007. Since going solo she has released 6 mixtapes titled Bitch Music Vol. 1-3, "P.M.S. Pardon My Swag" , "Cocaine Waitress" and "Poor Lil Rich Gurl". During an interview in 2010, Diamond stated that she would like to work on a new Crime Mob album.
Princess left the group and released an album separate from the rest of Crime Mob, entitled Class is in Session.

Shawntae Harris (born April 14, 1974), better known as Da Brat, is an American rapper and actress. Her debut album, Funkdafied, sold one million copies, making her the first female rapper to have a platinum-selling album.
Harris was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois. Her parents were never married and Harris was subsequently raised in two different households. She lived part of the time with her mother and grandmother, and had attended a strict Pentecostal church four times a week, where she played drums and sang in the choir. She also lived with her father and his mother, where she had fewer restrictions. Harris attended Kenwood Academy from 88–89, where she ran track and played basketball, and she graduated from Academy of Scholastic Achievement in 1992.
Regarding her soon-to-be rap name, Harris told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that she got the name because she is "a spoiled only child." Harris is the younger half-sister of actress LisaRaye McCoy.
In 1992, Harris got a big break when she won the grand prize in a local rap contest sponsored by Yo! MTV Raps. For the prize, she got to meet Kris Kross, and they in turn introduced her to their producer, Jermaine Dupri, who signed her to his So So Def label. Dupri cultivated Da Brat's image as a "female Snoop Doggy Dogg", and she became one of the first female "reality-based" rappers.

DeRay Davis
DeRay Davis (born Antwan DeRay Davis) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. DeRay began his career in the comedy clubs. Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, He won the Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition and was a standout on the Cedric the Entertainer Tour. Best known for his role as Ray-Ray the Hustle Guy in Barbershop and Barbershop 2: Back in Business, Davis has also appeared in other films, including Semi-Pro (2008). The comedian also sounds on several skits on rapper Kanye West's albums The College Dropout and Late Registration, and also appeared in West's music video for "Through the Wire." Other music video appearances for Davis include Lil' Flip's "Game Over", Chris Brown's "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)," and Three 6 Mafia's "Doe Boy Fresh."

Nick Cannon Presents Wild 'n Out is a game show on MTV starring Nick Cannon.
Similar in premise to game-type shows such as Whose Line Is It Anyway?, the show puts two teams of comedians: the "Red Squad", captained by Cannon and contained Katt Williams for the first 3 seasons, and the "Black Squad" led by a celebrity guest, against each other in a series of Wild 'n Out games which are all basically "improvisational" comedy games. After three such games, the two teams square off against each other in the final round of the game called Wild Style, in which they must insult the other team member(s) within a freestyle rap. The comedians "beef" with each other, however some are impersonal jokes. Although, similar to Whose Line, the "points don't matter", the teams score one point per round victory during the normal rounds, plus one point per favorably judged punchline during Wild Style. Each episode also includes a musical performance, occasionally by the guest captain for the Black Squad. At times, the musical guest comes out just before Wild Style as the judge for the beefs.

Earl Stevens (born November 15, 1967) better known by his stage name E-40, is an American rapper, entrepreneur, and investor from Vallejo, California. He is a member of the rap group The Click, and the founder of Sick Wid It Records. He has released over ten albums, appeared on numerous movie soundtracks, and has also done guest appearances on a host of other rap albums. Initially an underground artist, his 1995 solo album In a Major Way opened him up to a wider audience. Beginning in 1998, he began collaborating with more mainstream rappers outside of the Bay Area. He rose to even higher mainstream popularity in 2006 with his single Tell Me When to Go which was produced by Lil Jon.
E-40 made his rap debut in 1990, with the EP Let's Side as a member of The Click. The EP was co-produced by Mike Mosley and Al Eaton and was released on Sick Wid It Records, an independent label founded by E-40. In 1992 they released second album, Down and Dirty, and in 1993 E-40 made his solo album debut. Federal, a nine-track LP/14-track CD produced by Studio Ton and released by Sick Wid' It Records in association with SMG (Solar Music Group), a regional distributor. After a talent show at Grambling State University, the emcee and his cousin B-Legit decided to attempt a career in rap. Together, and with his sister Suga-T, they released their 1993 mainstream radio hit Captain Save a Hoe. They moved back to Vallejo and teamed up with D-Shot, E-40's brother, to form the group MVP or Most Valuable Players. E-40's gospel singing uncle (Saint Charles) helped them put out the record. Suga-T was then added to the group to form The Click.

She attended Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia; however, she left the school shortly after winning the third cycle of America's Next Top Model.
Marcille was the winner of the third cycle of America's Next Top Model, beating fellow contestants Yaya Da Costa and Amanda Swafford. Her prizes included a CoverGirl cosmetics contract, a spread in Elle, and a modeling contract with Ford Models.

Field Mob is an American Hip-Hop group from Albany, Georgia composed of artists Shawn Timothy Johnson and Darion Crawford better known by their stage names Shawn Jay and Smoke respectively. Field Mob is signed to T-Pain's label Nappy Boy Entertainment.

For four weeks afterward, the informal competition continued daily, with the victor alternating between himself and Shawn, and attracting the attention of many other students who came to spectate. Eventually, Shawn offered to form a rap group with Darion, and Field Mob was born.

Derrick Watkins, (born 13 February 1974) in Atlanta, Georgia and popularly known as Fonzworth Bentley or Farnsworth Bentley, is a musician and author. Jim Jones was born in the Tremont section of The Bronx and was raised in Harlem. In an essay for Fader magazine, he stated that his mother would allow him to ride the train from their residence at 176th Street and Jerome Avenue to 110th Street and Lexington Avenue. He attended Catholic school but later began cutting church to loiter and play hooky at the train station. In Jim Jones' The Come Up DVD, Vol. 19, he tells stories about growing up with rapper Freekey Zekey. Jones claimed he would stay at a store a block from the church he attended, and would go in and hang out with the owner; when the owner left, Jones said he took all the money in the register and the candy and would sell it in school; he was later expelled.

Krayzie Bone recorded his solo debut, Thug Mentality 1999, in 1998. In 2006 Krayzie Bone was featured in a song "Ridin'" by Chamillionaire. "Ridin'" was awarded "Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group" at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards. It was also nominated for Best Rap Song. It became number one in December on the Piczo Chart 3 months after its physical release. The album features appearances by Yung Joc, Three 6 Mafia, Lil Jon, Young Buck, 50 Cent, Olivia, Young Dro, and Bohagon. It was produced by Lil Jon and 50 Cent. The first single Money in the Bank features Young Buck and became Lil Scrappy's second Top 30 single. Money in the Bank peaked at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart trajectory, becoming his biggest solo hit and most commercially successful single to date in the U.S. as it surpassed the peak position of "No Problem" by one position. The second single from the album is called Gangsta Gangsta and features Lil Jon. "Oh Yeah (Work)" is the third single from Bred 2 Die Born 2 Live and features E-40 and Sean P (formerly Sean Paul) of YoungbloodZ He also has one son named Rashaud Archie.

Loni Love (born July 12, 1971) is an American comedian and actress. After quitting her job as an electrical engineer in 2003, Love began to pursue a career in stand up comedy. She was the runner-up in Star Search 2003 and was named "Top 10 Comics to Watch" in both Variety and Comedy Central in 2009.
Love was born in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in the Brewster-Douglass Housing Projects. Prior to her career as a comedian she was an electrical engineer, an experience she talks about in many of her acts. After graduating from high school in 1989, she had worked for a time on the General Motors assembly line putting doors on 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlasses, work which ignited her interest in electrical engineering. Love then received a scholarship and her bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Prairie View A&M University in Texas. While at Prairie View, she minored in music and was also a member of the Eta Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta. It was there that she discovered stand-up comedy after winning a $50 competition and then performed constantly during her college life. After finding work as an engineer at Xerox in California, she continued to do stand-up after work in clubs and became a regular at the Laugh Factory. After eight years of working at Xerox, Love resigned to pursue comedy during a layoff to prevent someone else from losing their job.

Luenell Campbell (born March 12, 1959), known professionally as Luenell, is an American comedienne and actress.
She was born in Tollette, Arkansas and uses only her first name. She is the youngest of eight children. She was raised in Northern California and attended Castro Valley High School. Luenell has one daughter, and lives in Los Angeles, California.

Jones worked at a Compaq plant and sold cell phones from an apartment on Antoine Drive. T. Brown, Jones's partner in several financial ventures, said that he sold some "dime bags." for six months, but they mainly bought "T-Mobile Sidekicks" and sold them for an inexpensive price.
Jones often visited his grandmother's house in the Studewood (an area of Houston). Jones credited her for giving him the ideas to pursue rap, to use his real name, and to write songs for strippers.

Day was born in Orange County, California. He graduated from El Modena High School in Orange, California as an honors student in 1998, where he was involved in the drama program. He decided that it would be in his best interests to structure his own label situation. He would create American King Music alongside business partners Corey Llewellyn & Erik Mendelson. Mims is also known for his two songs "Like This" and "This Is Why I'm Hot". In February 2010 Mims appeared alongside hip-hop legends KRS-One and Redman on a song entitled "How To Be An Emcee 2010".

William Ray Norwood Jr. was born in McComb, Mississippi to Willie Norwood and Sonja Bates-Norwood. His older sister Brandy is an award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist. His first cousin, Snoop Dogg, is a multi-platinum recording rapper.
Early in Ray J's career, he was known for wearing a Pacers headband.

It peaked number 25 in the U.S. and number 11 in New Zealand. The second single peaked at number 54 on the U.S. R&B chart. In 1997, he was dropped from the label. Ray J recorded "Another Day in Paradise" with Brandy, which was a Top Ten success in Austria, UK, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, Ireland, the Netherlands and number 11 in Australia and France. Joseph Ward Simmons (born November 14, 1964), known by the stage name Rev. Run or DJ Run, is one of the founding members of the influential hip hop group Run–D.M.C.. He is also a practicing minister, known as Reverend Run. Simmons was born in Hollis, Queens, New York. He is the brother of Daniel "Danny" Simmons, Jr. and Russell Simmons, the co-founder of Def Jam Records.
He found new popularity in 2005 with his family's MTV reality show Run's House.
Before Run–D.M.C., Simmons was the lead vocalist in the hip-hop group called "The Force." He founded Run-D.M.C. as a lead vocalist along with friend Darryl "DMC" McDaniels and the late DJ Jason "Jam-Master Jay" Mizell.
Run began using the stage name of "Rev. Run" after he was ordained as a Pentecostal minister by E. Bernard Jordan, Simmons spiritual mentor. Jordan also named him "Protege of the Year Award" in 2004. The same day, symbolic of his "Prosperity Ministry", there was a "Rolls Royce parade outside the Plaza Hotel in New York City, " featuring Jordan's Phantom Rolls Royce. The new $325,000 Phantom had been a gift from Reverend Run as a "thank you" for Jordan's mentoring support.

Che Smith (born July 6, 1977), known by the stage name of Rhymefest, is an American hip hop artist from Chicago, Illinois whose first official album, Blue Collar, was released on July 11, 2006. He co-wrote Kanye West's "Jesus Walks", which won a Grammy at the 47th Grammy Awards. In October, 2010, Rhymefest announced his candidacy for Chicago's 20th ward alderman. He placed second in the February 22nd, 2011 election, and was defeated by incumbent Willie Cochran in the April 5th, 2011 runoff election, placing 45.4 to Cochran's 54.6.
Rhymefest was seen on the MTV show Punk'd when Kanye West was the subject of a practical joke on the set of his second music video for "Jesus Walks." Rhymefest was the first to greet West as he stepped out of a van after it had been revealed to him that he had just been "Punk'd." Rhymefest was on the set of the video to give his input as he was writing the track. Also appeared on TRL along with Kanye West and other stars introducing new artists to the game such as Pharrell Williams introducing Robin Thicke.

Marece Richards (born September 2, 1983), better known by his stage name Rich Boy, is an American rapper from Mobile, Alabama. He is best known for the hit single "Throw Some D's". His self-titled debut album was released in early 2007.
Richards dropped out of his studies of mechanical engineering at Tuskegee University in order to concentrate on trying to rap. Rich Boy signed a contract with Zone 4 through Interscope Records and started to work on his debut album. In the meantime, he snuck onto one of Ludacris' Disturbing tha Peace compilations and on a few mix tapes, such as Comeback Season by Canadian rapper Drake and Da Bottom, Vol. 5 by DJ Ideal and Jermaine Dupri.
On March 13, 2007, Rich Boy released his self-titled debut album, with the singles "Throw Some D's," "Boy Looka Here," "Good Things", and "Let's Get This Paper". "Throw Some D's" reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100, #3 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and #2 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. "Boy Looka Here" and "Good Things" both peaked around #50 on the R&B chart.

He attended the Wolmers High School for Boys, Belair School, Hillel Academy High School, and the College of Arts, Science, and Technology, now known as the University of Technology, where he was trained in commerce with a view to pursuing an occupation in hotel management.

The Ying Yang Twins is an Atlanta-based American hip hop duo consisting of Kaine (born Eric Jackson on December 16, 1978) and D-Roc (born De'Angelo Holmes on February 23, 1979). They grew even more famous when they toured with Juz tha King, Kat Nu and Demo Dil on the tour called King Me. Their full-length debut album, Thug Walkin', came out later that year.
Immediately after discovering fellow Atlanta hip hop artist Lil Jon, A&R Bryan Leach began talks with representative Michael 'DJ Smurf' Crooms about signing the Ying Yang Twins to TVT Records. Protracted negotiations meant that a deal was not finalized in time to for the label to release their next album, Alley: The Return of the Ying Yang Twins, which instead appeared in 2002 on Koch. The album was successful among hip-hop fans in the Southern United States. The same year, the group appeared on the album Kings of Crunk by Lil Jon on the single "Get Low", and the song was a huge club and radio hit. As Crooms had negotiated only a one-album deal with Koch, the duo was free to finally submit to the advances of TVT, who had impressed them with their recent work with Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz.

His deal with UTP later led to a meeting with New York rapper 50 Cent, who later signed him to G-Unit Records, under Interscope Records.

Similar in premise to game-type shows such as Whose Line Is It Anyway?, the show puts two teams of comedians: the "Red Squad", captained by Cannon and contained Katt Williams for the first 3 seasons, and the "Black Squad" led by a celebrity guest, against each other in a series of Wild 'n Out games which are all basically "improvisational" comedy games. After three such games, the two teams square off against each other in the final round of the game called Wild Style, in which they must insult the other team member(s) within a freestyle rap. The comedians "beef" with each other, however some are impersonal jokes. Although, similar to Whose Line, the "points don't matter", the teams score one point per round victory during the normal rounds, plus one point per favorably judged punchline during Wild Style. Each episode also includes a musical performance, occasionally by the guest captain for the Black Squad. At times, the musical guest comes out just before Wild Style as the judge for the beefs.

When ratings for the first season proved to be successful, MTV requested 10 more episodes for a second season which premiered on February 2, 2006. Major changes were implemented for the new season including shifting the show location to Hollywood and the teams now compete for a "Wild 'n Out" Championship belt which if the Black Squad wins, the team captain gets to take home.

The first season of the show was officially released as a 3 disc "uncensored" DVD box set on 7 March 2006. The episodes are only somewhat uncensored, but not as much as the MTV episodes. The musical performances are completely cut as well. The first 2 discs contain the 10 episodes of the entire season (Episodes 1-5 on Disc 1 and 6-10 on Disc 2) with the 3rd disc containing special features including extra unaired games and bloopers.

Wild 'n Out season 4 has finished airing on MTV. Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 can be seen in repeats on both MTV and MTV2, usually for overnight fill-ins. Additionally, 2 episodes of the show were produced specifically for Spring Break in Cancún, Mexico. These episodes also air on MTV and MTV2. The fourth season premiered on June 7, 2007.

The show is broadcast along Cannon's other MTV program, Short Circuitz, as part of the Nick Cannon Power Hour.

They bring people out of the audience that they think look funny and make fun of them. During this game Robert Hoffman strips nearly all the way down, leaving his underwear and his long, white, grey-on-the-tip socks. Robert Hoffman seems to love being in his socks, and leaves his shoes off for a while. Hoffman's team wins that round. The 3rd game is a game called “I’m On the List!”, wherein the Black Team and the Red Team have to act out celebrity personalities and the team captains have to figure out who the impression is of, then let that "celebrity" into the club. The Red Team wins the 3rd game. And the last game is called “Wild Style”. The cast has to go head to head freestyling each other and making punch lines. Who ever is the funniest wins the whole game. They play "Talkin' Spit", "The Interrogation Game", "R&Beef" and "Wild Style" like they do at the end of the show every night. Nick Cannon's Red Team wins at the end of the show. Common Performs "Go" from his album BE and break dances on the floor with Affion Crockett, one of the stars off of "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild N' Out".

3	In this episode the Ying Yang Twins are the captain of the Black Team. In the first game called “Got Props?” the team members get a prop and use them to do funny things. The Black Team wins that round. In the next round called “Star Sightings” the two teams have to go out in the audience and find people that look like celebrities, but do it in a funny way. The Red Team wins that round. Up next is funny game called “That's My Dog”, 1 person from each team has to be a dog, they only can bark and act out things, but they can’t speak. And the other person from each team has to find out what the dog is saying. The Black Team wins that game. In the last round called “Wild Style”, the teams go head to head and do funny punch lines. The Red team wins that round, so that means they win the whole thing. Afterwards the Ying Yang Twins perform their hit song “Wait (The Whisper Song)” from their CD USA (United States of Atlanta).

4	This week's episode is with Kanye West, he is the captain of the Black Team. The first game is called “Tore up from the Floor Up”, the team mates go out into the audience and get people that they think looks funny and sends them on stage and make punch lines about them. The Black Team wins that round. Next up is a game called “The Hating Game”, it's like the dating game but the woman picks the guy that she hates the most by their lines. Tracee Ross plays the lady that pick between two guys that she hates the most. The Red Team wins that one. In this round they play a game called the “Unhappily Ever After” game, the audience comes up with a story that the cast comes up with that doesn’t end “Happily Ever After”. The Red Team wins that. In the “Wildstyle” round Kanye West and Nick Cannon's team goes against each other making punch lines as they go along. Kanye's Black Team wins the whole thing. At the end Kanye hypes the crowd with a song from his “Late Registration” album called “Diamonds of Sierra Leone”.

5	This time the Black Team captain is Eva Pigford. She was along her protege Chynna Terrell. In the first game “Snap on the Shots”, the team members off of each team make jokes of pictures that come up on a screen, if it's funny they get a ding if it's not they get a buzzard. The Black Team wins that round. The 2nd game 1 person from each team has to sit in a chair and put water in his or hers mouth, one of the people from each team and has to say something funny so that the other person can spit the water out of their mouth and win a point. The Red Team takes that round. The 3rd game is “60 Second Sequel” where the audience screams out a movie so that the team members can make a sequel to it. If the audience screams loud for a team that team wins. The Red team wins that round. In the last round “Wildstyle” the two teams go head to head making punch lines; the Red Team wins the last round. At the end T.I. and P$C performs "Set It Out".

6	This episode Kenan Thompson comes through and is the captain of the Black Team. In the 1st game “World's Worst” the team members have to do a skit and make fun of things that a person can do the worst of. The Red Team wins that round. In the next game is called “Star Sightings”, the two teams go out and find people in the audience that look like stars. In the 3rd game called “Unhappily Ever After”, the team members make a skit of stories that end happily ever after, but the team has to make their ending unhappy and funny. The Red Team wins. In the last game “Wildstyle” they go against each other making funny punch lines. The Red Team wins it all. At the end the Pussycat Dolls perform their hit single “Don’t Cha”.

7	In this episode Farnsworth Bentley is the captain of the Black Team. In the first game called “Got Props?” the Wild N’ Out members have to do something funny with the props that are given to them. In the next game “Tore up from the Floor Up” the cast goes out and finds people they think is funny and send them on stage to make fun of them and how they are dressed. The Black Team wins that one. TRL’S host Vanessa Minnillo selects the Red Team as she plays the game “The Hating Game”, the Red Team wins that round. In the last round “Wildstyle” the Black Team wins overall. After the show Trillville plays a hit song from their album “Some Cut”.

8	In the 8th episode Omarion is the captain of the Black Team. In the first game “World's Worst” the members do things that people can be the worst at, the Red Team wins the 1st round. In the 2nd round they play a game called “Do Dat Dance” DJ D-Wrek has to come up with a new dance move and the cast has to create it. The Red Team wins again. In the next game called “Deaf Jam” they have to play out a song without saying any words, and their team mate has to figure it out. The Red Team wins this round too. Wild 'n Out had 50 Cent on the set as team captain and performer on March 18, 2008 which was made as a late episode of Wild 'n Out's season 4. However, due to constant profanity and sexual activities by the participants, the episode was later banned in MTV and MTV2 leaving only the earlier episodes for season 4 of Wild 'n Out.

There was also a reunion episode to show the funniest moments of the show. It aired on May 23, 2010.

Nicholas Scott "Nick" Cannon (born October 8, 1980)^[1] is an American actor, and television personality. On television, Cannon began as a teenager on All That before going on to host The Nick Cannon Show, Wild 'N Out, and America's Got Talent. He acted in the films Drumline, Love Don't Cost a Thing, and Roll Bounce. As a "rapper," he released his debut self-titled album in 2003 with the hit single "Gigolo", a collaboration with singer R. Kelly. In 2006, Cannon recorded singles "Dime Piece" and "My Wife" for a planned album Stages, which was never released. Cannon married American R&B/pop singer Mariah Carey on April 30, 2008.

Early life and career beginnings [link]

Cannon was born in San Diego, California, to parents Beth, an accountant, and James Cannon, a super-powerful motivational televangelist. Growing up, he divided his time between San Diego, where his mother lived, and Charlotte, North Carolina, where his father had worked. At age 11, Cannon received his first break doing stand-up comedy on his father's local cable access program.^[2]

After graduating in 1998 from Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, California, Cannon attained a gig as a warm-up comedian for Nickelodeon's studio audience in Los Angeles, most notably Kenan and Kel, where he also made guest appearances.

As a teenager, Cannon formed the rap duo "Da Bomb Squad" with his best friend Steve Groves; they opened for the likes of Will Smith, LFO, 98 Degrees, and Montell Jordan.

Self-titled debut album (2001–2003)[link]

After signing with Jive Records in 2001, he was featured alongside Romeo Miller and 3LW on the Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius soundtrack with a cover of the 1988 hit song "Parents Just Don't Understand".^[3] His debut self titled album was released in 2003 and included the single "Your Pops Don't Like Me".^[4]

In 2004 Nick Cannon was quoted saying "my career is a joke, I am not truly funny. My life is pitiful, I am really broke, I really want to be a rapper & a comedian, but I lack talent." In 2005, Cannon formed his own record label, Can I Ball Records, with plans to release his second studio album, entitled Stages, later that year.^[5] The album's first single, "Can I Live?", a pro-life song, was released in July 2005^[6] followed by the second single "Dime Piece" in March 2006.^[7] But it was never released because of Nick Cannon's acting career.

Slick Rick parody "Slick Nick" (2010–present)[link]

In 2010, Nick created a parody of hip hop pioneer "Slick Rick" entitled "Slick Nick". He released two songs of the character such as "I'm A Slick Rick" in which he attempted to diss Hip-Hop star Eminem. It was a freestyle of Cali Swag District's "Teach Me How to Dougie" & "Nick's Story" which was a Freestyle rap version of Slick Rick's "Children's Story". It is unknown if he will be using the character to make a mixtape or album.

In 2005, Cannon produced and hosted the MTV improv comedy series Wild 'N Out.^[8] That same year he hosted the world record slime stunt on Nickelodeon's 2005 Kids' Choice Awards in which a human cannonball was shot into slime. By complete chance, it was Nick Cannon with the Nick(elodeon) Cannon! Donald Trump did the honors of announcing "You're fired" to trigger the cannonballl shooting. In 2009, he hosted the fourth, fifth, and sixth seasons of America's Got Talent and is currently hosting the seventh season.^[9] He also hosted the first and only season of Nickelodeon's Friday Night Slimetime. He also was the DJ on Ellen DeGeneres's Bigger, Longer, And Wider show. In 2009, Cannon hosted the HALO Awards along with Justin Timberlake, Hayden Panettiere, LeBron James, Kelly Rowland and Alicia Keys which premiered on December 11.

On January 19, 2010, Cannon started hosting the morning show (6-10AM) with co-hosts Nikki and Southern Sarah Lee at 92.3 NOW FM (WXRK-FM) in New York.

Cannon launched his own weekly chart program "Cannon's Countdown" syndicated by CBS Radio it started on April 23.^[10]

On February 17, 2012, Cannon stepped down from 92.3 (92 moose) now citing health issues.

Nick hosted and performed on the comedy show Wild 'N' out that aired on MTV for four seasons between 2005 - 2007. On July 13, 2010, Cannon announced that he was going on a comedy tour in the Fall 2010 beginning at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal.^[11]

In early 2011, Cannon recorded his first-ever stand-up comedy special titled Mr. Showbiz at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The special premiered on Showtime on May 14, 2011. A digital release of Mr. Showbiz became available on iTunes beginning May 16, 2011, with a physical release of the album on May 31, 2011. On the special, Cannon unabashedly reveals his thoughts on his famous marriage (to music icon Mariah Carey), pending fatherhood, and how to put an end to his buzzed about Twitter war with hip-hop star Eminem. He also shares candid stories about his humble beginnings, his family, his 'hood tendencies' and failed attempts at being a gangster.^[12]

Eminem [link]

Eminem's 2009 album, Relapse, contained a track titled "Bagpipes from Baghdad", poking fun at Cannon's wife Mariah Carey. Cannon responded back with tweets via his Twitter page, while Mariah released a song and video titled "Obsessed", with lyrics and visuals aimed at Eminem. Eminem responded back with a mixtape-style track called "The Warning" in which he addressed both Cannon and Mariah, and later commented that he was finished talking about the subject.

The feud was thought to have been over until in September 2010 when Cannon responded with the song "I'm a Slick Rick" which in Slick Rick's flow he takes shots at Eminem over the instrumental for Cali Swag District's "Teach Me How to Dougie".^[13] This was followed by a campaign via Facebook, Twitter, and his radio show proposing a boxing ring fight between Eminem and Cannon for charity.

In late September 2011, over a year after "I'm A Slick Rick" was released, Cannon took another lyrical jab at Eminem by releasing a song called "I Remember".^[14]^[15]

On October 3, 2011, Cannon released another diss song called "Warning (Remix)" which also features Uncle Murda aimed at Eminem, radio host Charlamagne Tha God, and the feud between R&B singer Ray J and rapper Fabolous. Cannon fires lyrical shots at Eminem and also featured an audio clip of Eminem with Tim Westwood back in 2009 where Eminem backtracked on the beef saying: “I had no idea Nick Cannon was going to start wiling out on me" which Eminem referred to Cannon's canceled Wild N Out television show. Cannon retorted to the clip by saying: “You said it Marshall, that’s all you had to do!” and that Slim Shady is “forgiven".^[16]^[17]^[18]^[19]

Charlemagne Tha God [link]

On the same freestyle song titled "Warning (Remix)" which also featured Uncle Murda released on October 3, 2011, Nick Cannon issued a "warning" to popular New York's Power 105.1 morning show radio host Charlamagne Tha God after he previously named him his 'Donkey Of The Day.'^[16]

Cannon's retaliation track clowns Charlemagne for one of his interviews with Lil Mama that left her in tears. Cannon responded with the lyrics

"Charlamagne made girls cry, so who's the donkey of the day?
Man, you about as gay as d*ck pics
I'm on mansion number six by the time you get rich."

citing Charlamagne and his lack of money compared to Cannon himself being called Mr. Mariah Carey.^[17]^[18]^[19]

Charlemagne later during the day responded to song with multiple tweets aimed at Cannon and plans to retailiate to with a diss song of his own responding to Cannon.^[18] On October 4, 2011, on the Breakfast Club radio show, Charlemagne as his alter ego "Lil Young Shorty" released his own diss record “Wack on Wack” towards Cannon^[20]

Personal life [link]

With no prior announcement on April 30, 2008, Cannon married Mariah Carey at her private estate on Windermere Island in The Bahamas after just six weeks of dating.^[21]^[22]^[23]^[24] Cannon and Carey had initially first met in 2005 at the Billboard Music Awards as he presented her with the award for Best Selling Female Artist of the year.The two had remained friends for the years following. On October 28, 2010 Carey confirmed that she and Cannon were expecting their first child. She claims she conceived naturally. Carey revealed that she had been pregnant shortly after her wedding during the time of the 2008 World Music Awards, but that she miscarried, so Carey and Cannon decided to keep the matter private.^[25]

On April 30, 2011, the couple's third wedding anniversary, Carey gave birth to fraternal twins.^[26] The daughter is named Monroe Cannon (after Marilyn Monroe), the son Moroccan Scott Cannon (because Cannon proposed to Carey in her Moroccan-style room; Scott is Cannon's middle name and his grandmother's maiden name; Monroe doesn't have a middle name as Mariah herself doesn't have one).^[27] Mariah has referred to the twins with the nicknames "Roc and Roe" (Rock and Roll).

On January 4, 2012, Nick Cannon was hospitalized after suffering from mild kidney failure. He was then hospitalized on February 17, 2012 for blood clots in his lungs.^[28]^[29] On Monday, March 5, 2012 he announced that he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called lupus nephritis, which was the cause of his recent kidney problems.^[30]

Leonard Armond Robinson is an American comedian and actor.

Biography [link]

Originally from Danbury, Connecticut, Robinson has appeared in theaters nationwide including the Williamstown Theatre Festival, New York Fringe Festival, and Studio Theatre in Washington, D.C.. He performs stand-up and long form improvisation in theaters and clubs in New York and Los Angeles. He has studied with Groundlings and Improv Olympic in Los Angeles and Wynn Handman Studios, the Actors Center, and Upright Citizens Brigade in New York.

Leonard is currently a series regular on MTV's improvisation comedy show Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out and also its sister show Short Circuitz. He has also appeared in such independent films as American Crude, Filmic Achievement, or Au Pair Chocolat as well as 2005 blockbuster Mr. & Mrs. Smith. He is currently on the ESPN miniseries The Bronx is Burning, portraying Yankees outfielder Mickey Rivers. Robinson co-starred in the 2010 film Speed-Dating.

He was also a highly skilled wrestler in high school winning numerous county and state titles.

David Darnell Brown (born March 15, 1981^[1]), also known as Young Buck, is an American Southern rapper. Buck is a former member of the New York City hip hop group G-Unit and is still signed to G-Unit Records. He currently resides as president of his own record label, Ca$hville Records.

Early life [link]

Around the age of twelve he was making rap songs and rolling up blunts with dean mclees and kyle stewart . he was mostly found around the spruce way area , Brown began rapping because he was inspired by a Miami friend named Clay Cole. Jealous of his friend's talent, he wanted to beat him no matter what he had to give up. At the same time Clay Cole moved to Tallahassee, Fla., Brown began recording in a real studio. Shortly thereafter, he was given an opportunity to perform for Brian "Baby" Williams, co-founder of Cash Money Records. After several years on and off of Cash Money Records, Brown and fellow rapper Juvenile decided to leave the label for good in 2000^[2] and go to UTP Records, where Brown stayed until 2003.^[3] One of his early appearances was on the song "Memphis," where he was featured along with Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, and other southern rappers. His deal with UTP later led to a meeting with New York rapper 50 Cent, who later signed him to G-Unit Records, under Interscope Records.

Before his journey into the music industry Young Buck was a known hustler/drug dealer in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. His choices nearly cost him his life. While sleeping in his house one night in ____, armed robbers smashed their way inside. During the ensuing gun battle Young Buck was hit several times, but, instead of making his way to the hospital, the rapper and an armed associate drove around the streets searching for the assailants. The track 'Till I'm Dead and Gone' is a narrative from Young Buck on the incident.

On Saturday February 25, Young Buck and his entourage caused a disturbance at Cafe Coco in Nashville. According to eyewitnesses, Buck lashed out at the baristas by knocking cups and other items off the counter after they refused to allow him to the front of the line. Buck and his associates ran off before police could respond.

Young Buck would get his first major deal with dave mathewson atdaves records in 1995 when he was given an opportunity to perform to Brian "Baby" Williams, co-founder of Cash Money. Buck Soon after would tour with dean mclees and kyle stewart along with dave mathewson on the road and do several shows together. After several years on and off of Cash Money Records, David Brown and fellow rapper Juvenile decided to leave the label for good in 2000^[2] were he would join Juvenile's record label UTP Records and the rap group UTP Playas.

In late 2011 it was rumoured that Young Buck was close to resigning with Cash Money again but the deal crumbled when the Judge in Bucks bankruptcy case decided to switch the Nashville rappers case from a reorganization to a liquidation was frustrating the multi-platinum rapper's attempts to sign with Cash Money Records and end a contract dispute with G-Unit Records that has stifled his career since 2008. Judge George C. Paine II signed an order converting the case from Chapter 11 reorganization to Chapter 7 liquidation on Wednesday December 21, 2011 and Buck, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, stood to lose more than his shirt. The trustee administering his estate has said she plans to sell the trademarked "Young Buck" moniker itself along with other assets.^[4] However on January 9, 2012 Cash Money Records CEO Birdman stepped forward to address the rumors and speculation suggesting Memphis rapper Young Buck and West Coast hip-hop artist Lil B are on the verge of joining his team. While he admits both artists have his respect, Birdman said there is no truth to the speculation stating "Both of them is two of the little homies I have the utmost respect for," he said.^[5] " I don't know Lil B's situation. I don't know Buck's situation. I'm friends to both of them. If the opportunity ever came, I would love to work with both of them. I know Buck is in a situation. I got love and respect for both of them, but they never came across the menu yet -- I spoke with Buck a few times, he's been a friend of the family. But it ain't came to none of that."^[6]

UTP Records [link]

After leaving Cash Money in 2000, Young Buck joined UTP Records and the rap group UTP Playas. His deal with UTP later led to a meeting with New York rapper 50 Cent who later signed Buck to G-Unit Records, under Interscope Records. Buck would release 2 albums Born To Be A Thug & The Compilation with UTP before leaving the label and rap group in 2003 to join 50 Cent's record label G-Unit Records and the rap group G-Unit.^[7]

After leaving UTP Records in 2003 Young Buck would link up with up and coming rap titan 50 Cent who was already making waves with his outfit G-Unit. Looking to broaden his empire 50 Cent was quick to sign Young Buck to his G-Unit imprint and also welcome his as one of the newest members of the rap group G-Unit.

Young Buck would first begin his career with G-Unit Records in 2003 when the rap group G-Unit released their first debut album Beg for Mercy. As the album was recorded, Tony Yayo was sentenced to jail on charges of gun possession, and so makes only two appearances on the entire record, on the tracks "Groupie Love" and "I Smell Pussy". His image is seen on the brick wall of the album cover because he could not be photographed due to the jail sentence. At the time of the album's release The Game was put in G-Unit therefore he is not photographed nor does he make an appearance on the album, he does however make cameos in the videos for Stunt 101, Wanna Get To Know You & Poppin' Them Thangs. He was also mentioned in Poppin' Them Thangs when Young Buck states "You ain't no Crip like Snoop you ain't no Blood like Game". In its first week of sales, Beg for Mercy sold 377,000 copies. It placed third, behind Tupac Shakur's eighth posthumous release, Tupac: Resurrection, which moved 430,000 albums, and Jay-Z's The Black Album, which sold 463,263 copies.^[8] It sold 327,000 copies in its second week to peak at number 2 on the Billboard 200,^[9] and 193,000 in its third week.^[10] It has now sold 2.7 million units in the U.S.^[11] and over 6 million copies worldwide.^[12]^[13] It has been certified 2× platinum by the RIAA.^[14]

On August 24, 2004 Young Buck would release his G-Unit Records debut album Straight Outta Cashville, The album's title alludes to the N.W.A. album Straight Outta Compton and is a neologism for Nashville (his hometown). The singles from this album include "Let Me In", "Shorty Wanna Ride", and "Look at Me Now". It features a lot of rappers outside of G-Unit such as Lil' Flip, David Banner, D-Tay, Ludacris, Game, Stat Quo and production from Lil Jon, Kon Artis, and more. The album received very little promotion after November because of the VIBE award incident, after which Young Buck was arrested for assault. Though the case was dropped it had been four months since Young Buck himself had promoted the album. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 with about 261,000 copies sold, in the first week, and has since been certified Platinum by the RIAA.^[15]

Following his debut album Buck would join forces with the rest of the G-Unit roster at the time to release a collaboration album Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2005, soon after Bucks second album Buck The World in 2007 would follow. Before the departure of Young Buck the highly publicised feud between G Unit and their former west coast counterpart Game (rapper) had split the fanbase of the outfit in two with many fans taking sides with the Compton native. As the feud between G Unit and Young Buck was simmering behind the scenes 50 Cent released a phone call he had taped between him and Young Buck in which an emotional Buck was heard crying and asking 50 Cent for help and advice. Buck would take this personal and release several tracks towards 50 Cent and G-Unit. Buck is still signed and legally obligated to release a studio album via G-Unit Records.

Solo career [link]

After Young Buck was dismissed from the group for multiple reasons, He released numerous tracks attacking not only the group, but their associates and, more specifically, group leader 50 Cent. 50 Cent and G-Unit also responded with many tracks, including one particular instance in which 50 Cent released a phone call he had recorded with Young Buck, which featured the Tennessee native weeping and apologizing for numerous things.^[16] After this happened, Young Buck responded, stating that the call was a fake, that happened one year prior to its release, and claimed that only police record phone calls.^[17]

After a lengthy battle between Young Buck and his former G-Unit comrades, the feud seemed to settle down, with Young Buck stating that he owed one more album for G-Unit Records which would be released in 2009, then titled The Rehab.^[18] In other interviews, he's stated that he does not have a problem with 50 Cent or G-Unit anymore, but is currently doing his "own thing". He also stated that although he's still signed to G-Unit Records, he's trying to get out of the contract, and he's no longer signed to Interscope.^[19]^[20]

On September 13, 2010 an interview with Shade 45 radio host Angela Yee, 50 Cent stated that Young Buck is still signed to G-Unit Records.^[21]

Brown filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy protection in August 2010,^[22] shortly after an IRS raid on his home. His bankruptcy lawyer later told The City Paper that he was planning to sue Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) and other parties over the record contract dispute.^[23]

The IRS made plans to auction off Young Buck's seized property on October 28, 2010,^[24] but his legal counsel filed suit to halt the sale, while simultaneously re-filing a revised bankruptcy petition that no longer referenced a $5 million legal claim against 50 Cent and other parties associated with G Unit.^[25]

In the lawsuit, viewable at this link, Young Buck said the studio equipment taken in the raid was "directly tied to" his "ability to generate income in order to reorganize the estate." He stated that the seizure of property that belonged to his children had "created great stress in the home" and "within the common law marriage of the debtor plaintiff." He told the court he needed to get back the property belonging to the family.

Young Buck's attorney was able to convince the court that he would be selling real estate worth $638,500 to begin paying the back taxes due. At a hearing on October 26, 2010, plans for the IRS auction were at least temporarily stopped. Young Buck announced the outcome with a Tweet:

Young Buck was under Chapter 7, Young Buck’s assets were to be sold and distributed among his creditors.^[26]

Early Sunday morning on March 4, 2012, Young Buck was targeted in a drive-by shooting. According to Nashville police, via WSMV-TV Channel 4, at approximately 3:30 am, a white Chevrolet Tahoe crept past the rapper's SUV and opened fire, hitting the vehicle 11 times. Miraculously, Buck, who was back in his hometown to work on new music, wasn't injured. But his girlfriend, Kenyetta Rainey, was hit once on the shoulder. Rainey was treated at Vanderbilt Hospital and has since been released. In the moments leading up to the shooting, Buck, born David Brown, and his girlfriend were involved in a heated argument with others at La Bamba Nightclub in South Nashville. Police said all parties involved in the argument left the club at the same time.^[27]

After a couple of days of silence, Buck took to his Twitter to address the situation. “We all go through things in life,” the former G-Unit star tweeted. “The things I’m experiencing are Truly making me a Better and Stronger man. #GodisGood.”^[28]^[29]

Young Buck started his rap career with a ton of promise, but his legal problems thwarted that potential and his woes continue to mount. According to reports, the former G-Unit MC is looking at an 18-month prison stint for gun possession. The Tennessee rap star has agreed to a plea deal with Nashville prosecutors that will land him behind bars for a year and half, TMZ reported on Tuesday (May 22).^[30] A judge signed off on the plea, but Buck won't be sentenced formally until July 13, 2012.

After an IRS raid on Buck's Nashville home in 2010, authorities found a .40 caliber Glock 22 as well as ammunition. The raid followed reports that the rapper had an outstanding $300,000 tax debt, and because he's a convicted felon, Buck is prohibited from possessing any firearms. Back in 2005, he pleaded no contest to assault with a chance to produce bodily injury after he stabbed a man while trying to defend Dr. Dre at the 2004 Vibe Awards.^[31]

On November 15, 2004, Jimmy James Johnson approached Dr. Dre at the VIBE Awards and reportedly asked for an autograph before Dr. Dre was about to go on stage. After Dr. Dre declined, Johnson punched him in the back of the head before running towards the nearest exit. A brawl ensued with several uniformed police officers attempting to break up the fight. Chairs were thrown, and it was alleged that Young Buck stabbed Johnson in the chest with a knife.^[32] After video evidence was uncovered from the awards ceremony, the Santa Monica Police Department issued an arrest warrant for him.^[33] In a preliminary hearing, it was ruled that there was enough evidence to proceed with a jury trial. However, in December 2005, a deal was reportedly struck that would see Young Buck avoid trial.^[34]

The Game [link]

After The Game was kicked out of G-Unit for being disloyal, Young Buck as well as new West Coast G-Unit act rapper Spider Loc who had signed to G-Unit Records in September 2004, called him to task for dissing the group and label. The Game then released a track entitled "240 Bars" which insulted both Spider Loc and Young Buck. Young Buck then released a track called "The Real Bitch Boy", which featured Spider Loc and used a beat from The Game's track, "Where I'm from". In the song, Young Buck talks about how he did not even know The Game when he mentions The Game's name on "Poppin' Them Thangs". Also, Young Buck talks about The Game being a male stripper and also how 50 Cent helped The Game to be successful with his album The Documentary.

The feud has continued to escalate, with there being an exchange of many tracks. In February 2007, The Game and Young Buck got into a non-physical altercation at a club, during the NBA All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas. The last time that they were seen together was when The Game was part of G-Unit.^[35]

After being dismissed from G-Unit, Young Buck appeared on a remix to The Game's song Game's Pain,^[36] as well as appearing in the music video to the song My Life, which featured another former rival, Lil Wayne.^[37] A mixtape by The Game and Young Buck was also confirmed,^[38] called "Worth More Than 50 Cents".

Lil Wayne [link]

Young Buck released a song featuring Tony Yayo called "Off Parole" which insulted Lil Wayne. Young Buck said that Lil Wayne could not be angry, because Young Buck spoke the truth. Young Buck also said "You think you got a problem with Juve and B.G.; you'll have a true problem with me", referring to the Cash Money-Juvenile/B.G feud.^[39]^[40]

One of the reasons 50 Cent stated he was dismissing Young Buck was what he called "inconsistent behavior" which included appearing on stage with Lil Wayne, then seemingly dissing him on records with G-Unit.^[17] After he was dismissed, Young Buck appeared in the music video "My Life" by The Game, which featured Lil Wayne in the vocals.^[37]

As of 2009 Buck and Wayne have squashed their beef and also linked up to record a track "Up's and Down's" for Young Buck's Back On My Buck Shit mixtape.

DJ Khaled [link]

During an interview on Rap City, DJ Khaled was asked to choose three classics out of a total of eight albums. He chose every album except Get Rich or Die Tryin'. DJ Khaled stated:

I'm all about unity, but if you're not down with unity, I can't help you with that.^{[citation needed]}

In response, Young Buck released a track entitled "Personal (Unity)" towards DJ Khaled and Terror Squad. In the song, Young Buck refers to many people on DJ Khaled's second album, We the Best.

During a "TRL" show which 50 Cent was hosting on September 12, 2007 Young Buck repeatedly mocked DJ Khaled by repeatedly shouting "50 we the best. Listennn!" in reference to DJ Khaled’s behaviour, which he exhibited on the same show previously.^[41]

Two days later on the same show, 50 Cent was offered the choice of listening to one of his rivals say something about him in a clip from Rap City. He had the choice of Fat Joe, DJ Khaled, Ja Rule, and The Game, and chose Khaled's clip, in which Khaled said he did not consider Get Rich or Die Tryin' a classic.

Young Buck later addressed the issue on the mixtape G-Unit Radio Part 25-Sabrina's Baby Boy. He insults DJ Khaled on multiple tracks.^[42]

50 Cent [link]

After numerous rumors of a "beef" within G-Unit, 50 Cent officially dismissed Young Buck from the group, in 2008. He later assured that he was still signed with the label.^[43] Numerous slander songs then arose on the internet from both camps, with Young Buck appearing in a music video of former rival The Game.^[44]^[45]

50 Cent then leaked a taped phone conversation between himself and Young Buck, which showed one of the true reasons for the falling out; 50 Cent was owed money by the Southern rapper. Young Buck later stated the conversation took place over a year before the leak.^[46] The two camps have since released a multitude of songs against each other, with the feud settling down by 2009, although on Buck's album The Rehab, he disses 50 on a track titled "Hood Documentary".^[18]

In April 2012, after being ousted from the crew back in 2008, Young Buck has entered talks to work with the label. Days after indicating that he would be open to re-teaming with his old crew at G-Unit Records, Young Buck now confirms that he has begun negotiations with the label about making his return. Buck provided the update in a recent interview stating "I'ma be honest with you," he said, "Finally we're at a point where we're having some kind of negotiations with what they're going to be able to do for us at G-Unit."^[47] The Nashville, Tennessee native said he was ready to make his return to music, whether as a part of G-Unit or not. "Y’all are gonna be hearing from me," he said. "I don't want to put a timing on it, but the wait is absolutely over, and we're just trying to figure out what's the best situation for us, where I'm gonna go." Buck stated in an interview after a concert in California April 4, 2012. Young Buck's last album was the 2010 independent release The Rehab. It’s been a rough go for Buck since he was expelled from 50’s crew in 2008, he has run into financial troubles and he recently escaped an attempted drive-by shooting in his hometown. ^[48]^[49]

The Rehab was released on September 7, 2010. It was a street album, not his official 3rd studio album, released on Real Talk Ent. Buck had made an earlier claim in which he said that The Rehab will sell a million copies in his first week, but at the time, he was still signed to G-Unit/Interscope Records.^[54]

Brooke Ellen Bollea (born May 5, 1988^[1]), better known by her stage name Brooke Hogan, is an American singer, actress, model, socialite, and television personality, and the oldest child of professional wrestler Hulk Hogan. Brooke Hogan is currently signed with "TNA Impact Wrestling" as TNA Knockouts Executive. She appeared on the reality-television series Hogan Knows Best, which focused on her family, and which premiered on July 10, 2005 on VH1. Since the cancellation of Hogan Knows Best, she has starred in the now-cancelled reality series spin-off, Brooke Knows Best, which focuses on her life independent from her parents and living with two roommates.

Hogan released her debut album in 2006, titled Undiscovered. In 2009, she released her second studio album, The Redemption.

Early life [link]

Brooke Hogan was born in Tampa, Florida, the older child of Hulk Hogan (Terry Gene Bollea) and Linda Bollea. She has one younger brother, Nick Hogan (Nick Bollea).

In high school, she took dance classes, voice lessons, piano lessons, and gymnastics. She joined the cheerleading squad of her Clearwater, Florida school, Clearwater Central Catholic, in her freshman year. Hogan graduated from high school at the age of sixteen.^[2]

2002–05: Music beginnings and reality series [link]

Hogan was signed to Trans Continental Records in 2002.^[3] Some music was produced with Rich Cronin's assistance.^[4] The album's lead single, "Everything to Me", was released in July 2004. The song appeared at number one on the Hot 100 Singles Sales chart in the United States,^[5] and number 97 on the Billboard Hot 100. To promote the album, Hogan toured with Hilary Duff on her Most Wanted Tour throughout the US, as well as with the Backstreet Boys on their Up Close & Personal Tour, both of which took place in mid to late 2004.^[6] The album, Brooke Hogan: This Voice, was slated for a September 21, 2004 release date,^[7] but the album was not released.

Hogan and her father appeared in the hour-long profile (Inside) Out: Hulk Hogan, Stage Dad.^[8] The television special chronicled Hogan working on her debut album, as well as showed her father's role in the album making process. Her father later stated that the show was mainly an attempt to help promote Brooke and her upcoming music career.^[2] The special was a major success for the network, and the success of the special led to VH1 turning it into an entire television series, titled "Hogan Knows Best". The series premiered in July 2005, and was the highest rated series in the network's history.^[9] The show chronicled the Hogan family's life together, although it mainly focused on Brooke and her father. Hogan Knows Best presented her father as strict with her dating. On the show, Hulk placed a GPS tracker on Brooke's vehicle that enabled him to track her whereabouts and shut down the engine of her car remotely. However, Brooke said in a later interview that her father loosened up after her eighteenth birthday.^[10]

[edit] 2006–08: Undiscovered and Brooke Knows Best

In 2006, Hogan changed record labels and became the first artist signed to Scott Storch's label, initially called Storchaveli Records,^[11]^[12] but later named Storch Music Company. She also signed with SoBe Entertainment. Storch also became the album's main producer. During an interview, Hogan stated that she was recording the album at The Hit Factory in Miami, Florida, where rapper Paul Wall heard a clip of the song "About Us" and asked to be on the song.^[10]

The lead single from the album, "About Us", was premiered on the season two finale of Hogan Knows Best. It quickly began receiving heavy radio rotation, and peaked at number 33 the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at 33. Undiscovered was released on October 24, 2006 in the United States and Canada. The album debuted at number 28 on the Billboard 200, and number 1 on the Independent Albums charts in the US, selling an estimated 30,000 copies in its first week of release.^[13] The album has only sold an estimated 127,000 copies in the United States.

To help promote the album, Hogan appeared in the November 2006 edition of FHM,^[14] becoming the first FHM cover model under 21 years old. As a result, the November issue had no liquor advertising. Dana Fields, executive publisher and president of FHM, said: "In the very rare instance that you might have a cover star under the age of 21, they don't want to be in the position of seeming to market to anyone under age."^[15]

To further promote the album, Hogan announced its second single would be "Heaven Baby", which featured Beenie Man on guest vocals. The song was released to pop radio in January 2007.^[16] On March 6, "For A Moment" was released as a promotional single from the album, with a music video featuring clips of the third and fourth seasons of Hogan Knows Best. Hogan's record label decided the album should be re-released later in the year; however, Hogan decided against it, opting to begin work on her second album. In August 2007, Hogan confirmed that she would be departing from one of her labels, SMC, and soon confirmed that she had signed a dual contract with SoBe Entertainment and Fontana Records and was at work on her second album. Hogan appeared as a panel judge in America's Prom Queen in early 2008.

While working on her second studio album, the series Hogan Knows Best came to an end. Brooke was later approached by VH1, and signed on to do her own series, Brooke Knows Best. The series premiered on July 13, 2008,^[17] and featured Hogan dealing with her family's problems, her music career, and her life as she's no longer dependent upon her parents nor lives with her family. The show consisted of her friends, Glenn and Ashley — who are often encouraging Brooke to get out, have fun, and party. Brooke, Glenn, and Ashley live in a penthouse in South Beach, which is paid for by VH1. Brooke Knows Best also chronicled the problems Brooke faced while dealing with the divorce of her parents, as well as brother Nick Hogan's prior arrest related to a serious car accident in which he permanently injured his best friend. Hogan's father has appeared in numerous episodes of the series, while her mother and brother have made a few. The first season ended on October 5, 2008.

[edit] 2009–present: The Redemption and film debut

In early 2009, Hogan announced the title of her second album to be The Redemption. The album's lead single, "Falling", featured rapper Stacks, and was released on March 31, 2009.^[18] On June 30, Hogan released the album's second single, "Hey Yo!", which featured Colby O'Donis on guest vocals.^[19] On July 4, Hogan released a mixtape, titled "Judgement Day", to help promote the release of the album. The mixtape caused a buzz online after the song 'Ur Not That Hot' was seen as a diss toward The Hills star, and fellow pop singer, Heidi Montag. The song also includes a fake voicemail that Hogan implies was sent to her from Montag. The Redemption was released on July 21 in the US and Canada for digital download and as a physical copy. It debuted at number 144 on the Billboard 200, and 27 on the Independent Albums chart, selling 3,381 copies in its first week.^[20] She was released from her four-year contract with SoBe Entertainment a year early after the promotion for the album concluded. She is now only signed to Fontana Records. To date, she is the only artist signed to the label.

In November 2009 Hogan was featured in Toni Braxton's music video for "Yesterday". In late 2009, Hogan made her first film appearance in the low budget live action film Little Hercules in 3D, which was only released in certain territories outside of the US. It was released on October 8, 2009 in Kazakhstan and Russia, and in the Czech Republic on January 7, 2010. Hogan's mother, father, and brother also appear in various roles in the film.

Hogan appeared as Kate in the Science fiction film 2 Headed Shark Attack, which was released on January 17, 2012 in the United States. She also appeared as Sandy Powers in the film "Sand Sharks", which was released on January 9 in the United Kingdom. She also guest starred on the episode "The Dean's List" of China, IL, which appeared on March 4, 2012. Hogan is set to appear as Britney Baer in the film "Devour".^[21]

She confirmed on April 11, 2012 via her official Twitter account, that she was writing songs with Benji Harris.^[22]

On May 17, 2012, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), the wrestling promotion where her father works, announced that Brooke had signed on to work in the promotion as an on-screen authority figure and a backstage consultant to the TNA Knockouts.
