Harold Michael "Mike" Gray (October 26, 1935 – April 30, 2013) was an American writer, screenwriter, cinematographer, film producer and director.
In 1965, Mike Gray and Jim Dennett co-founded The Film Group, a Chicago film production company. In 1968, the pair along with editor Howard Alk produced the award winning documentary American Revolution 2 (1969), followed by the trio's The Murder of Fred Hampton (1971). The Film Group was also behind the seven part educational series, "Urban Crisis and the New Militants," which was composed primarily of footage shot during the production of American Revolution 2 but also includes footage of Chicago Black Panther members (including future Congressman Bobby Rush) and a 1966 civil rights march in Cicero, Illinois. This series can be streamed on Chicago Film Archives' website and Chicago Film Archives's channel on YouTube.
After moving to California, Gray shot The Gift (1973), a documentary about the life and art of Marc Chagall. Gray then co-wrote with T. S. Cook and James Bridges the screenplay for the 1979 nuclear thriller The China Syndrome (1979), a film which became notable for opening twelve days before the Three Mile Island reactor meltdown. He also wrote and directed Wavelength (1983), an independent science fiction film starring Robert Carradine, Cherie Currie, and Keenan Wynn, with a soundtrack by Tangerine Dream.
Mike is an abbreviation or shorthand for Michael.

In Europe and the United States, surveys show that grey is the color most commonly associated with neutrality, conformity, boredom, uncertainty, old age, indifference, and modesty. Only one percent of respondents chose it as their favorite color.

Mike Gray loves spending his winters back home in Toronto, Canada preparing for the Spring/ Summer onslaught of street filming missions ahead. Instead of dumping clips on the gram, we hit up up to stack for a part and here's the result... Mike is a beast! Video by Tyler Rizzi https://www.premiumbmx.com/
Mike Gray WENT IN on this full section for his parts sponsor Demolition. For over a year Mike stacked clips with SoCal lensman Doeby Huynh around the school yards and city streets of San Diego, and even snagged some footy while on a trip to Rochester, NY. This video coincides with Mike's upcoming Interview "Mind the Gap" in issue 211 of RideBMX Magazine. From lengthy technical lines to handrail destruction, mike handles business, but where he really shines is in his selection of roof setups, and the tricks he pairs them with. Mike is fucking unreal and I think it's safe to say that this video puts him on the map as one of the very top dudes in the street game right now, and he's not slowing down any time some, I promise you that.

Going to the city........
Run to the city with your own contraption
Run to the city for a new reaction
To the city for your own advantage
To the city for a sidewalk attraction
Hmm.......
See the light that you hold now in our times
Sole single light
Sole single light
See the light that you hold out in our times
Sole single light
Sole single light
So, get ready for what the lights intended
Stay in the city for the love of attention
In the city that is most intensive
In the city where the light will protect you now
Up for the looks and the outboasts
Side street crowds and the kids on the lampposts
Catch a glimpse of the light from the street show
Hopes there'll be a sign
See the light that you hold now in our times
Sole single light
Sole single light
See the light that you hold out in our times
Sole single light
Sole single light
So, get ready for what the lights intended
Stay in the city for the love of attention
In the city that is most inventive
In the city where the light will protect you now
