Sean Brian McAllister (born 15 August 1987) is an English footballer who is currently a free agent. He plays primarily as a central midfielder, but is a lively 'box-to-box' player who likes to cover ground and battle with opposition players.

McAllister was born in Bolton and is the younger of two children. He has one brother, Karl.

As a young player McAllister started his career at Bolton Wanderers. In the summer of 2003 Sheffield Wednesday swooped to sign him from the Lancashire club, and McAllister joined the Wednesday academy.

Sheffield Wednesday[link]

Having previously been an unused substitute in the Sheffield derby at Hillsborough, McAllister made his senior debut for Sheffield Wednesday the following week on 25 February 2006, coming on as a substitute after 56 minutes at St Mary's when Wednesday were already 3–0 down against Southampton. Despite not having made an impact on the scoreline (Wednesday lost the game 3–0) McAllister impressed and earned himself a place on the subs bench in two more matches towards the end of the 2005–06 season.

On 12 April 2006, McAllister was named Sheffield Wednesday Young Player of the Year 2005–06, despite playing only 35 minutes of first team football, having impressed with his many reserve team and academy appearances.

McAllister finally made his full debut for Wednesday on the last day of the season (30 April) starting the game against Derby County at Pride Park, with Wednesday going on to win the game 2–0. McAllister's performances during the season earned him a senior contract with Wednesday which he signed over the summer of 2006.

On 19 August McAllister scored his first senior goal for Wednesday. After coming on as a sub for the injured Wade Small in the 11th minute, McAllister scored Wednesday's first as they recovered from a goal down at half-time to beat Plymouth Argyle 2–1.

McAllister would rarely feature again that season, only making one substitute appearance under Paul Sturrock's successor Brian Laws.

After failing to feature for the first team during the start of the 2007–08 campaign he was sent out on a two month loan to League Two side Mansfield Town on 6 September 2007.^[1] This was followed by a loan spell at Bury, however McAllister was never brought off the bench during his time there. He was recalled by Sheffield Wednesday as backup early in his second month at Gigg Lane and went on to break in to the first team again in February 2008. His third Sheffield Wednesday goal came on the 80 minute mark in the Owls 2 – 0 win over Crystal Palace,this was quickly followed by his fourth goal in the 2–1 defeat to Reading. He was released by the club at the end of the 2009/10 season.

Shrewsbury Town[link]

He signed for Shrewsbury Town on 28 July 2010.,^[2] making his first appearance as a substitute in the 3-1 home victory over Bradford City on 7 August 2010.^[3] Sean was named the official Shrewsbury Town player of the month for August 2010,^[4] but found first team opportunities harder to come by in the second half of the 2010/11 season due to a hernia injury and the arrival of Nicky Wroe from Torquay United and the loan of David Davies from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2011.^[5]

McAllister made a return during the 2011/12 pre-season, scoring against a Manchester United XI in a 2-1 victory at the New Meadow in July 2011.^[6] He scored his first Shrewsbury Town goal when he was recalled to the starting line-up in a 2-0 win against Crewe Alexandra on 20 August 2011.^[7] Following Shrewsbury Town's promotion to League One in 2012 it was revealed that McAllister had been released in the close season .^[8]

Jorge Cervantes at the 2010 High Times Medical Cannabis Cup

Jorge Cervantes is a pseudonym for George Van Patten, a horticulturist and writer specializing in indoor, outdoor, and greenhouse cannabis cultivation. His books, articles, photographs and instructional DVDs have been sold worldwide as guidebooks to horticultural techniques to high-yield closet, basement, backyard, and guerrilla gardens.

Van Patten developed his lifelong interest with cannabis as a university student in Mexico.^[1] After graduation, he moved to California and became a guerrilla grower of "sinsemilla" (Spanish for without seeds) marijuana, the "new" high-quality cannabis that Mexicans reserved for domestic consumption. In the early 1980s, Cervantes started growing indoors, but a lack of credible information about indoor cultivation led him to author Indoor Marijuana Horticulture in 1983. The book became a best-seller, and successful indoor growers dubbed it the "Indoor Grower's Bible" which became the book's subtitle. Today, growers simply call it "The Bible".^[2]

Van Patten (as Jorge Cervantes) first published the book Indoor Marijuana Horticulture in 1983. That first edition was 96 pages, bound by staples, and printed in black and white. Now in its fifth edition, with 512 full-color pages and 1120 full-color photographs and illustrations.^[3] Marijuana Horticulture sold over 600,000 copies printed in Dutch, English, French and German. Marijuana Horticulture has just been released in Spanish, Italian, and in Russian. The book's credits list more than three hundred contributors including Rob Clarke and Ed Rosenthal.

Van Patten has reworked "Marijuana Horticulture" as " Gardening Indoors with Soil & Hydroponics" to appeal to non-marijuana indoor growing enthusiasts. He publishes that title, along with several other books on hydroponics, under his real name.^[4]

In his monthly question-and-answer column, Jorge's Rx, located in High Times magazine's cultivation section, Cervantes provides his solutions to growers problems. He also pens a regular column in Soft Secrets magazine. Van Patten is Bilingual and speaks at eight international cannabis fairs in Europe every year, and contributes feature cultivation articles to High Times, Burst High (Japanese), and other European cannabis magazines.^[5]

Lawrence Arabia is the musical guise of New Zealand artist James Milne.^[1] In 2006, Lawrence Arabia released his self titled debut album and the debut album his band The Reduction Agents, The Dance Reduction Agents. Both albums were nominated for several Bnet awards, New Zealand's public voted alternative radio awards.

Milne has been involved in the internationally successful pop group The Brunettes and toured as bass player for American band Okkervil River and toured with Feist. He has also produced music for film and theatre including songs that appeared in Taika Waititi's Eagle vs Shark.

In August 2009, Lawrence performed with a new band called BARB on a small New Zealand tour with a band consisting of Connan Hosford (Connan and the Mockasins), Liam Finn, Eliza Jane Barnes, Seamus Ebbs, Jol Mulholland and Wild Bill Rickets. Their album (recorded at Roundhead Studios in Auckland) will be released 24 August 2010.^[2]
