Give me a realistic explanation of the formation of the earth, because gravity tends to pull large enough objects into spheres. 2. Please explain if the earth is flat, why telecommunication cannot just use line of sight without the use of orbiting satellites. 3. NASA had nothing to do with the hypothesis that the earth is flat or round, in fact both idea's have been around since well before even Columbus sailed to the Americas, Ferdinand Magellan's journey around the world alone should prove that the earth is round. 4. Of what motivation would NASA have to lie about something very few even would care about? 5. If the Earth is flat where is the absolute edge, because if the earth isn't round it has to have an edge somewhere, humans have been everywhere on the earth yet no absolute edge has ever been discovered.? My overview, its easier to make a round planet than it is a flat planet because as a planet forms out of accretion it gets to a certain point where its gravity is stronger than the material its made out of pulling the planet into the simplest form, which is a sphere, which comes to my next point the sphere is the easiest shape to form, that's why when you blow bubbles they're round, why drops of water in low gravity are round!! So lets do a experiment you know that they can tell how far away the moon is by firing a laser at the things the astronauts landed there and left behind? well lets do that but instead no measurements and not in space Fire a laser at mount Everest from somewhere across the world like america's mountains fire a laser to mount Everest does the laser hit mount Everest? if it does not then the laser has hit somewhere else because gravity and other factors are bending it and pulling it ...? So if the earth is flat then the laser has no problem getting to the Himalayas!!? I HAVE 100s..... OF THESE ?....... :) The earth is actually an Oblate Spheroid, it's by no mean's a perfect sphere for many reasons (relating to it's mass, circumference at different regions, the nature of the force of gravity, and it's magnetic field lines)........ I started on the equator, walked straight north, my path had a 90 degree angle with the equator, at the pole, I made a 90 degree turn, walked straight south untill I reached the equator, then, I made one more 90 degree turn, and walked the same distance along the equator as the distance between the equator and the pole. Strangely enough, I found myself at the same place I started off from, so I walked a triangle. Now, geometry teaches us that a triangle's angles must add up to 180 degrees, however three times 90 is 270 degrees. I just walked a triangle of which all the edges were straight lines, yet the angles add up to 270 degrees. Explain that to me, flat earth society. If the earth were to be flat, then where would it's core be? The Earth's core is one of the most IMPORTANT things we have. It flipping creates our MAGNETIC FIELD that defends us from all sorts of cosmic dangers. The magnetic field can VISUALLY be seen in action at the poles (the famous Aurora Borealis). Unless you're telling me that all of that is staged. For a flat earth to have sun-rise and sun-set, then that means that there would be a point in which EVERY CONTINENT would have to be engulfed in daylight...Why?..simple, take a sheet of paper and a flash light for example; if you shine a flash light in a vertical orbit around the sheet of paper, then, at some point, one side of the paper would be fully lit up. But what if some continents were at the other side you say? Well, then that would mean that for us to travel to the one of the continents that's on the other side, we would notice some very dramatic effects...before we "flip sides", it would literary appear as if we were falling down a cliff.
