Interlagos 1993 - Last Lap + Afterwards (ENGLISH SUBTITLES)
For a little Senna didn't race at 1993 Brazilian Gran Prix. A misunderstanding happened between McLaren and Marlboro, and the contract that must be assigned on the Wednesday before that race wasn't agreed between them, what would leave Senna outside the race. "But when God wants nobody can change it", Senna said after winning the race that recorded McLaren's 100th victory in F1 history. Everything happened in this race. Hard rain, nine accidents, three collisions (one of them between Alain Prost and Christian Fittipaldi), tires changes and the entrance of the safety car in the track for the first time in F1's history. Senna ran in the grass before doing a wonderful overtaking in Damon Hill. In the penultimate lap, the led that informs about oil's pressure turned on. Senna got a shiver and decided to forget that light. After last curve he started to pray and he continued to pray even after the engine stalled, fortunately 50 meters after checkered flag. As Senna has said: "when God wants...".

Mohsen Namjoo ((ey Sareban))
Poem: Rahim Moeini Kermanshahi Poet Title: Sareban Lyric In English : You cameleer! You caravan! Where are you taking my Leila (My lover)? With taking my Leila, you are taking away my heart and my soul. You cameleer, where are you heading to? Why are you taking my Leila along with yourself? The Lord was the only witness when we promised our love; hence, our love will last as long as this world revolves. ; You cameleer! You caravan! Where are you heading to; where are you taking my Leila (My lover)? The entire of my belief to this mortal world came from the sparkle of a deep affection that brought me to existence. How sweet to shed a tear in memory of a beloved! How pleasant to live with burning blast of a love! So may God help all kindhearted people, as helped us, to keep kindness in their hearts forever So may God help us in making a mystical immortal love similar to Leila and Majnoon [ the Persian legendary lovers]. Now, you are running away from my love. Now, you do not read grief through my eyes you do not know how I feel. Swear to God, I will not survive without you. At least, stay and see my heart's death and afterwards go. Like a heavy storm, pick the flower of my being from the branches of sorrow and afterwards go. Now, I am a lonely tree which has been battered by a storm A tree that entire of its branches have been broken by the rage of nature You cameleer! You caravan!....

THE LENSES:
The DP owned one 50mm prime, about as stock as they come and I borrowed my friends 28mm prime for a few shots here and there. I did however, rent a 70-200mm canon zoom lens for most of the shoot and that cost me another $200.00. Later I found out that a friend of mine had the same lens sitting on a shelf collecting dust...Bu Hao
THE DOLLY/FOLLOW FOCUS:
we used the microdolly for almost all of the moving shots (we used a tiny skateboard for the dolly along the shoes).
http://www.microdolly.com/micro_2.html
It's a very simple device to use, the kit is insanely cheap ($45.00/day) and comes with a 13 foot track which is like a tent pole design, meaning it's all one piece but you could collapse the end of it to fit into smaller spaces. There is a 45 degree curved track option as well, but we never bothered to rent it.
We probably should have had a little more weight on the tripod itself, given that it was only the 5D because the tripod would slip off the track from time to time. You'll notice we had a shitty tripod so we tapped it to the T-bar rather than it fitting in snugly like it would had we had a real profession tripod, ah well. Oh and those foam pads they provide you with to go under the track? We ditched using those after the first day, they just got in the way.
This may not be the best option in the world for flexibility, it's more of an indoor dolly for sure but I'd totally use it again if I was on a tight budget. It's a great way to add production value, considering the price.
We did use a redrock adapter but for some reason we couldn't figure out how to get the focus ring onto the left side of the camera, so the DOP could pan/tilt with his right hand. Not only that but his lens package weren't very high end so the clamp kept slipping off the focus adjustment on the lens (we ended up using double sided tape to make it bite properly). Focus was such a tricky and often elusive thing, there were several double digit takes done to achieve proper focus through out the whole length of the shots.
THE LIGHTING:
1x 1K Arri tungsten
1x 650W Arri tungsten
1x 300W Arri tungsten
-for Saffron's day scenes we used a medium flexfill
-and for her night exterior footage I used a tiny led (daylight balanced) camera light, the kind that slides into the accessory shoe of consumer cameras. Really cheap, it cost me $69 I think. The light sensitivity of the 5D really is insane. Since it was just a crew of two, the DP and I, it usually fell on to me to provide a little backlight on those night scenes and it was a little bizzare to be 15 feet back and it still be too bright.
THE SOUND:
I used my old Canon XL1s with a Lav attachment to re-record all of the spoken lines in the film. Basically after the cut was finalized I cued the scene up on my laptop, had the actors watch the takes a few times and then had them say the lines until I thought they matched up well enough. I bought the lav about 6 years ago, it cost about $250.00 or so and it wasn't top of the line or anything.
The reason were weren't plugging the lav into the 5D is because you still couldn't control the levels with the camera, so if something peaked, I'd have no real idea until afterwards anyways. You really do need an external device for good audio with this camera, sticking a boom mic or shotgun attachment won't really get you much better in the way of quality especially with that horrid auto gain feature.
THE WORKFLOW:
Converted the footage in FCP to Apple ProRes (HQ) files.
Edited accordingly with shitty guide track from the 5D, then had the actors re-record their lines with my lav attached to my old XL1s running in 30P "FRAME MODE". Cleaned up the timeline then sent it to Color for grading.
BUDGET:
Other than the one lens and the Microdolly and Redrock adapter, I just spent money the regular stuff like gas and meals. The locations were free, the actors brought their own wardrobe, except for the doctor (the DP has been a doctor for halloween for the past ten years and already had the lab coat and stethoscope!), there was no hair or make up dept. All of Saffron's scenes were shot over one day/night and by luck she had some hair extensions of her own that she was able to put in over lunch to help sell the idea that a lot more time had passed over course the of their relationship - you'll notice she never has short hair during any of her night scenes.
Total cost of this film $800.00 (approx.)

This Episode features impressions from 2 weeks Thailand during the rain season. We were basically just driving almost every day to get North as fast as possible.
Filmed by Vincent Urban & Clemens Krüger
Shot with
Canon 7D
EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8
EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6
Edited by Vincent Urban
Music by:
Shearwater - "Meridian"
Episode 2 Info:
0:01 - Pai
Pai is actually in Northern Thailand so we got there later than the edit would suggest. However, I wanted to put it into the beginning as it's a fun contrast to the quiet shots afterwards. It is somewhat of a Hippie-Mecca with lots of alternative tourists but also has this festival which seemed very authentic to us.
1:34 - Bangkok (Part 1)
We visited Bangkok twice on our trip. So there's a lot more to come in Episode 5. This time, it's only a handful of impressions from the rainy days.
2:35 - North Thailand (general)
After Bangkok is was raining a week straight. We were going into the mountains in the north-western Region driving on mud roads and fighting the water inside the car as it was leaking through on many spots. Camping is no fun, when it's pouring.
2:48 - Doi Inthanon
Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand with 2565 Meters. But the peak is still covered with high trees so you don't really get any spectacular view. However, the fog within the forest up there made a great scenery.
3:00 - Refugee Kids
We accidentally drove in this area where there was a refugee camp streching over many kilometers at the Myanmar boarder. They wouldn't let us in but we could see many kids playing outside on the streets. Later we found a Myanmar refugee which told us alot about the region and why there are all there.
3:48 - Chiang Mai
This was one of the most fun cities we visited with tons of young native people studying there so we had some great nights going out. Luckily, we didn't film any of it.
After Chiang Mai we drove straight to Chiang Khong all the way North East at the Laos boarder to cross it the next morning.

Scenes from a rooftop
The music I wrote in 2008 in part thinking of Koyaanisqatsi. The footage I collected this year - all from the rooftop of my workplace. Marrying the two together came by chance during the editing process - and it worked.
Shot on a Panasonic HVX200, in 1080 mode using the interval recording function. Rate of recording was 1 shot in every 4 or 8 fps. The soft focus look I added afterwards - it ain´t genuine tilt shift - but I did shoot with that in mind and have applied a filter made for that look.

'The Voice' Top 3 Performances: CeeLo Mini Me, Shirtless Adam Levine
bit.ly - Subscribe to ClevverMusic! on.fb.me - ClevverMusic Facebook Fan Page! Twitter.com - Follow Us! Last night the Top 3 on Season 3 of 'The Voice' performed three songs each and it was our favorite episode ever! Hey guys welcome back to ClevverMusic. In light of the recent tragedy at Sandy Hook School in Newtown Connecticut, 'The Voice' coaches and Top 20 contestants from this season paid their respects by opening the show with a touching performance of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". Each star on the stage held a card with the name of one of the 27 victims in an appropriate and emotional tribute. On the Season 3 finale performance show each of the Top 3: Nicholas David, Cassadee Pope, and Terry McDermott sang three songs: one song that "defined" them on the show, a new finale song, and one awesome duet with their coach. As for songs that helped the contestants "break out" on the show, Nicholas David sang Bill Withers "Lean On Me" once again and his coach CeeLo Green commented afterwards, "I love you." Terry McDermott's defining moment song was "I Want to Know What Love Is" and his coach Blake thought he sang it even better this time around. As for Cassadee Pope, no surprise that her game changing song chosen was Blake Shelton's emotional ballad "Over You" and she stunned in a sparkly silver gown. The new songs performed on the show were full of high energy with Nicholas David singing a mash up of Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls of Fire" and Jimi Hendrix's "Fire". We ...

John Lennon Mind Games (2010 Stereo Remaster)
Join the Official TheQuarrymen58 Facebook page for News, Photos and exclusive videos! www.facebook.com "Mind Games" is the title track from an album of the same name by John Lennon. It was also released as a single, reaching 26 in the UK Single Charts and #18 on the US Billboard Hot 100, the B-Side was "Meat City". Originally titled "Make Love Not War," the song evoked lingering hippie sentiments mixed with the evolving mysticism of the early 1970s.[citation needed] Although Phil Spector was not involved in this album, Lennon's production is similar to the Spector "Wall of Sound." This song, which was begun in 1969 and can be heard in the Beatles' Let It Be sessions, was inspired by the book of the same name by Robert Masters and Jean Houston (1972), which emphasized the power of the human brain to induce various states of consciousness without the aid of external substances. The book presented a series of exercises intended to maximize one's potential for problem solving, conflict resolution, visionary thinking, creativity, focused listening and super-communication. Each application would start with a brief meditation cycle followed by the guided instructions of a director. During the exercise, only the director would speak, but each person would share their experience afterwards. Mind alteration had long since been a point of interest to Lennon, however he was aware of the risks involved with chemical consumption. A recommendation by Lennon himself is included with the ...

Trailer - Titanic - Official Trailer HD
In 1996, treasure hunter Brock Lovett and his team explore the wreck of RMS Titanic, searching for a diamond necklace called the Heart of the Ocean. They recover Caledon "Cal" Hockley's safe, believing the necklace to be inside, but instead find a sketch of a nude woman wearing it, dated April 14, 1912, the night the Titanic hit the iceberg. An elderly woman named Rose Dawson Calvert, hearing about the drawing, calls Lovett and claims that she is the woman depicted and she and her granddaughter, Lizzy Calvert, visit him and his team on his salvage ship. Asked if she knows the whereabouts of the necklace, Rose recalls her time aboard the Titanic, revealing that she is Rose DeWitt Bukater, a passenger believed to have died in the sinking. In 1912, 17-year-old first class passenger Rose boards the ship in Southampton with her fiancé Cal, the son of a Pittsburgh steel tycoon, and her mother, Ruth DeWitt Bukater. Ruth stresses the importance of Rose's engagement, as the marriage will solve the DeWitt Bukaters' secret financial problems. Distraught by her engagement, Rose considers suicide by jumping off the ship's stern. A drifter and artist named Jack Dawson stops her. Discovered with Jack on the stern, Rose tells Cal that she was looking over the ship's edge in curiosity and that Jack saved her from falling. At Rose's insistence, Cal invites Jack to dinner the following night to show his appreciation. Jack and Rose develop a tentative friendship, though Cal and Ruth are wary ...

I"s - Look After You
Anime - I"s Pure Manga - I"s (By Katsura Masakazu) wrote it down because looking for I"s could prove to be hard. Song - I Look After You Band - The Fray Story - the story is basicly that the guy (Seto) starts dating the girl (Iori). but after a while the girls carreer drives him to break up with her cause he felt like he was pulling her back . even though he did not want to afterwards his life starts getting shit and he remembers the fun times. flashforward you see him looking after her... and it turns out that the reason for that is because on a website someone posted that he will kill her . you later see a battle between him and the guy who made the website. and eventually he passes out getting into a coma he wont wake up from cause he'll wake up to a world witout iori the girl notices that and visits him and says that she'll quit her job cause he means allot more to her then her job does after hearing that even though he was in a coma he wakes up. afterwards they continue dating and its a happy end Aniways i watched the anime in like 2010 wich is strangely enough almost 3 years ago o_o and when i found out the manga of it was done by the same guy who did Zetman i was like wow , cause those 2 works are COMPLETELY different! and i felt like i just had to read it , and i do not regret doing that it was a great manga the anime's pretty good too its just that the Anime tries to hard to put the 144 Chapters into 6 episodes and Removing a few arcs because of that nonetheless ...
