Burford into to the Cotswolds- Drive
Hannah Coleman sings "No Regrets"! Bumpy roads settle down after a few seconds! Stay with it and get into a journey towards a magical land! We just put the camera on and hit the road! Burford is the typical beautiful Cotswolds gateway Town. Down the hill in the high st and then country roads to Stowe On The Wold. Living near Tewkesbury and the Showroom in London we drive this way many times. After a week in London driving down these roads is full of good feelings-achievement and reward for hard work, the beautiful Cotswold country and it's many walks and old Inn's. Listen to the music of Hannah Coleman singing "No Regrets" recorded in 2001 with Steve Jardine and Steve Cooper, very apt. -then John Mayall with Mick Taylor, a song called So Many Roads with John Mayall's bluesbreakers. Three Minute Thesis at The University of Auckland: This year, The University of Auckland competition was structured in heats with a University final, and The University of Queensland hosted the inaugural Trans-Tasman competition. The presentations were judged by a panel of three. In a 'Thesis Idol' style set-up, the judges commented on the quality of the presentations. Each heat was judged by three people including faculty academics and communications experts. The entrants were judged on the following criteria: 1. Communication style Was the thesis topic and its significance communicated in language appropriate to an intelligent but non-specialist audience? 2. Comprehension Did the presentation help the audience understand the research? 3. Engagement Did the oration make the audience want to know more? Before the shop, came the shows. The early days were totally based around our speciality, the "Burford Collection" of quality leather travel and handbags, with an emphasis on bags for the hunting fraternity. Attending high-profile game fairs, such as the CLA Game Fair and other notable events, over the last few years we have expanded the show circuit, taking in agricultural shows, such as the Royal Highland Show and many major equestrian events, including Badminton and Burghley. We opened our shop in the picturesque Cotswold town of Burford in 1992 with our range of leather goods and quality country wear. Importing safari and bush clothing from Australia, we are now established as a leading supplier to many safari tour operators. Elm is the UK's main distributor for Akubra hats. Elm supports Chhachowk Gurkha Village school nr. Pokhara Nepal. Profits from our pashminas are sent directly to the school fund. This secondary school is presently attended by a cross ethnic group community. Thanks to our many supporters, we are able to continue to help this fruitful and worthwhile cause.

Bob Burford - "'Round Midnight" (Thelonious Monk)
This tune, according to some accounts, has the distinction of being the most recorded song written by a jazz musician. Of course, another jazz tune, "Route 66" written by Bobby Troupe (a vibes player), comes to mind; it was recorded by virtually everyone. Nevertheless, Monk wrote this tune in the mid-1930s when he was only 18 years old. Amazing! Also amazing is this guitar! It is another Mark Piper masterpiece, the top of his "Redentore" line of exquisite hand-crafted guitars. It is gorgeous! Practically plays itself. A full-size archtop and weighs only 6 pounds!
