John Bufton (born 31 August 1962 in Llanidloes), is a UKIP Member of the European Parliament for Wales.

He was educated at Elan Village Primary School and Llandrindod Wells High School, and joined the family haulage business before embarking on a career managing a residential care home for the elderly with the local authority.

John Bufton's political career began when he was elected onto Rhayader Town Council in 1987. In 1996, he was elected to Powys County Council. In the 1997 General Election, he ran for the Referendum Party in the Montgomeryshire constituency.

In 2000, he ran as UKIP candidate in the Ceredigion by-election, coming fifth with 1.9% of the vote. He also ran for UKIP in the 2005 General Election, 2007 Welsh Assembly Elections and 2008 Powys County Council election.

In 2009, Bufton became UKIP's first MEP for Wales, picking up the fourth available seat from Labour, and pushing the Liberal Democrats into 5th place. Bufton was appointed to serve on the Committee on Regional Development, at the European Parliament.

Bufton is a small hamlet between the Leicestershire villages of Carlton and Barton in the Beans. It has around 10-15 residents, mainly on farms.

NO PLAN is a Japanese konto style comedy group, and is also occasionally known for their music. The group is best known for appearing regularly on the late night owarai show, Uchimura Produce (内村プロデュース) until late 2005, when the show was cancelled. The group consists of 6 male members; Kazuki Ōtake and Masakazu Mimura of Summers, Red Yoshida and Golgo Matsumoto of TIM, Ryō Fukawa, and the leader of the group, the eminent Japanese comedian Teruyoshi Uchimura.

The origin of the group's name traces back to one of their first television appearances on the popular music show, Music Station in 2003. Having arrived to sing a song, but not having prepared any lyrics, a fellow guest—Morning Musume's Mari Yaguchi—commented on-air, "No plan, huh?", and the name stuck. Their first album was then named We are NO PLAN.

In 2004, NO PLAN was selected to perform the title song to the new Crayon Shin-chan movie, and they also managed to land their first live appearance. Although they released another single, Oh! Summer, and a new album, SUMMER PLAN, in 2005, their main TV outlet Uchimura Produce was cancelled on September 26, 2005.

Timothy John Robert Kirkhope (born 29 April 1945) is a British lawyer and politician, currently serving as Member of the European Parliament for Yorkshire and the Humber for the Conservative Party. After serving for ten years as Member of Parliament for Leeds North East, he was first elected to the European Parliament in 1999. Since December 2004 he has been leader of the Conservative delegation on a number of occasions, and is also the Chairman of the Conservative Friends of Israel's Europe grouping.

Kirkhope was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and educated at the Royal Grammar School there and subsequently at the Law Society College of Law in Guildford before qualifying as a Solicitor in 1973. He was a Senior Partner in Newcastle law firm Wilkinson Marshall Clayton and Gibson (now part of Eversheds) until giving up practice on election to Parliament in 1987.

In 1982 he was elected to Northumberland County Council and served as a Director of Newcastle Airport. He obtained a Private Pilot’s Licence in 1983. He was very active in Hospital Broadcasting being the Chairman of Radio Tyneside for some years, and has maintained his links with the company. He was also very active in charitable work for the Macmillan Cancer Relief organization in Newcastle and the Family Service Unit movement.
