Mahalaya-----Mahisasuramardini-----Part 1 A video Portrayal Based on the Oratorio Invoking the Mother Goddess Durga Script: Bani Kumar Music: Pankaj Kumar Mullick Narration and Chanting of the Slokas: Birendra Krishna Bhadra Mahalaya, signifies the termination of Pitri Paksha and the beginning of Devi Paksha, thus ushering in the season of religious festivals. It is said that Devi Durga begins her journey from her husband's abode in Kailash to her paternal home on this day. The glory of Durga is known from the ancient Durga Saptasati or the Chandi. It describes the incarnation of Devi Durga by the unification process of all the power of the gods and her emergence as Mahisasuramardini in the eventual fight with Mahisasura. Recitation of these slokas is known as Chandi Path and has been recited and known to combat every kind of enmity and adversity, from ages forgotten. Since the early 1930s, homes in Bengal reverberate with the immortal verses from Chandi Kabya inthe recorded voice of late Birendra Krishna Bhadra. This Video Portrayal is an effort to depict the saga of Mahisasuramardini, which is a beautiful audio montage of recitation in the enthralling voice of sri Birendra Krishna Bhadra, Bengali devotional songs, classical music and a dash of aroustic melodrama. 1. YA CHANDI-----chorus 2. SIMHASTHA SASHISEKHARA-----chorus 3. BAJLO TOMAR ALOR BENU-----Supriti Ghosh 4. JAGO DURGA DASHAPRAHADHARINEE-----Dwijen Muhkerjee 5. OGO AMAR AGAMANI ALO-----Sipra Bose 6. TV9 - Importance Of Mahalaya Amavasya : "Mahalaya Amavasya" - Full....! The dark fortnight of Aswayuja (September-October) is known as the Mahalaya Paksha or the fortnight specially sacred for offering oblations to the departed ancestors. The last day of this period, the new moon day, is considered as the most important day in the year for performing obsequies and rites. The renowned hero of the Mahabharata, Karna, when he left the mortal coil, ascended to the higher worlds and the great charity he had done here was returned to him hundredfold. But, it was all gold and silver; there was no food, as he had not done any food-charity! He prayed to the god of death. So, he was sent back to earth for fourteen days, to make up for this deficiency. For fourteen days, he fed Brahmins and the poor, and offered oblations of water. On his return to the higher regions, he had food in plenty. It is these fourteen days that are commemorated in the Mahalaya Paksha. Due to the grace of the god of death, it has been ordained that offerings made during this period benefit all the departed souls, whether they are connected to you or not. Charity in the form of food is important during this observance. Life depends upon food. You cannot preach religion to empty stomachs. This human body is the most important vehicle for realising God. How precious must food be which keeps the body fit for Yoga! The gift of food is the greatest gift. Therefore, give food in plenty, not only during the ...

The Kedarnath range all wrongly described by me in video.
A walk in blinding rain with my wife from 6000 ft at Gaurikund to Kedarnath at 11750 ft over a period of 6 hours covering fourteen kms over a punishing uphill terrain unfolded a mountain vista so close that it all seems in touching distance. The mountain ranges visible to the naked eye from the temple area and the Kedarnath village are from the valley's true left to right are Sumeru mountain, Hanuman, Mahalaya, Kedarnath which resembles a sloping back of an elephant and a sinister craggy looking Brahma Gufa. This valley that was hidden in the folds of the middle Himalayan ranges was a veritable treasure house of alpine flowers, mouse hare and the elusive snow leopard.

PillaiCenter.com more videos http video library: youtube.com Reconnect To Your Soul's Genetic Line and Receive Their Blessings Mahalaya: September 24, 2010 to October 7th, 2010 "If I have to recommend one solution for every one of our problems, be it financial, relationship or health, it is doing Tarpanam (offerings to the ancestors). Miracles do happen after the performance of the rituals." - Dr. Pillai, Founder of AstroVed There is a special period of time when the departed souls of your ancestors come to the earth plane and this is very important for everybody -- for the kings, for laypeople, for yogis. Because your life is controlled by your ancestors. Soul Genetics explains how you not only inherit your biological genes from your ancestors, but also inherit soul genes from your ancestors. So, you think thoughts that come from your ancestors and you can change them or modify them by developing a relationship with your ancestors. This science was discovered by Yogis who just wanted to modify your life on the earthplane by just understanding the dynamics between you and your ancestors. There are times when you can do this very successfully, and one such time is Mahalaya and New Moon time. This happens through September 23 to October 7 of this year. So, there is going to be special offerings done at sacred sites to propitiate the ancestors' departed spirits. During this time, the ancestors come to the earth plane, so a lot of information is available on this subject of ...
