An introduction to the Hackney Solidarity Network

The Hackney Solidarity Network (HSN) was launched in January 2008 as a space where community activists and campaigners can

  • Meet each other
  • Let each other know what they are doing
  • Share skills and information
  • Network and get to know each other socially
  • Produce and distribute the Hackney Heckler

Next meetings

HSN has 3 main strands;

A monthly general organising meetings open to anyone involved in local campaigning or who wants to help or organise local campaigns, at 7.30 at the MOTH Club, Valette Street, on the 4th Tuesday of every month.

A monthly film and discussion night with Reel News from 7pm on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the Victoria Pub on Queensbridge Road in Dalston

And were are part of Hackney Benefits Collective that does monthly benefits at The Victoria in Dalston - next gigs February 26th 2011, March 26th, April 16th and then the 3rd Saturday of the month

And we produce the HAckney Heckler newspaper 3 or 4 times a year

We try to put as much news and updates on this website but also use a Facebook group, 'Hackney Solidarity Network', so please join that too for regular updates. There are 350 people on there and many of our updates go out through that.
