A SHORT LIST OF GODS.
A SHORT LIST OF GODS. (Very rough edit due to YouTube's video size limit) ----------------------------------- "The way to change the world is to change people's minds. As more and more people openly discuss the fact that "God" and "Allah" are completely imaginary, the world becomes a better place. The people who believe in "religion" look sillier and sillier. Eventually, religion becomes a fringe activity that is meaningless." whywontgodhealamputees.com ----------------------------------- WHAT IS ATHEISM? Atheism is characterized by an absence of belief in the existence of gods. This absence of belief generally comes about either through deliberate choice, or from an inherent inability to believe religious teachings which seem literally incredible. It is not a lack of belief born out of simple ignorance of religious teachings. Some atheists go beyond a mere absence of belief in gods: they actively believe that particular gods, or all gods, do not exist. Just lacking belief in gods is often referred to as the "weak atheist" position; whereas believing that gods do not (or cannot) exist is known as "strong atheism." Regarding people who have never been exposed to the concept of 'god': Whether they are 'atheists' or not is a matter of debate. Since you're unlikely to meet anyone who has never encountered religion, it's not a very important debate... It is important, however, to note the difference between the strong and weak atheist positions. "Weak atheism" is simple ...

The Celtic / Irish Gods and Goddesses [Part 2]
Celtic mythology is the mythology of Celtic polytheism, apparently the religion of the Iron Age Celts. Like other Iron Age Europeans, the early Celts maintained a polytheistic mythology and religious structure. Among Celts in close contact with Ancient Rome, such as the Gauls and Celtiberians, their mythology did not survive the Roman empire, their subsequent conversion to Christianity, and the loss of their Celtic languages. It is mostly through contemporary Roman and Christian sources that their mythology has been preserved. The Celtic peoples who maintained either their political or linguistic identities (such as the Gaels, Picts, and Brythonic tribes of Great Britain and Ireland) left vestigial remnants of their forebears' mythologies, put into written form during the Middle Ages. The Dagda The leader of the gods for the Irish pantheon appears to have been the Dagda. The Dagda was the figure after which male humans and other gods were based due to his embodiment of the ideal Irish traits. Celtic gods were also considered to be a clan due to their lack of specialization and unknown origins. The particular character of the Dagda describes him as a figure of burlesque lampoonery in Irish mythology, and some authors even conclude that he was trusted to be benevolent enough to tolerate jokes at his own expense. Irish tales depict the Dagda as a figure of power, armed with a spear. In Dorset there is a famous outline of an ithyphallic giant known as the Cerne Abbas Giant ...

Bhajan Mala iPad App Demo
Click here to purchase bhajan Mala now. itunes.apple.com Bhajan Mala is a great app for learning bhajans. This video gives a demo of how the app works. A Bhajan is a devotional song. His Holiness Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji has written and composed thousands of bhajans on various deities and philosophical songs. This app helps learn the bhajans by synchronizing the text with audio of the bhajan. The app is preloaded with all lyrics of bhajans composed by Sri Swamiji and Jayalakshmi Mata, His mother and Guru. You can browse the bhajan list by deity or album. If you already have the audio track on your device, it starts playing and highlights the word in karaoke style. It gives a easy Buy button to itunes for those albums not on your device. You may forward or rewind the highlighting and audio by using the slider below the bhajan text area.

Philosopher AC Grayling (I) Against All Gods
acgrayling.com In the face of the growing volume and assertiveness of different religious bodies asking for preferential treatment, secular opinion has hardened. The non-religious response has come largely from individuals who have a platform or the talent to speak; and they speak for themselves, not for an organisation. In the US, the religious Right numbers about 35 million. Recent polls show that about 30 million Americans define themselves as having no religious commitment. But whereas the religious Right is a formidable body whose constituent churches and movements have salaried administrators, vast funds, television and radio outlets, and paid Washington lobbyists, America's non-religious folk are simply unconnected individuals. It is no surprise that the religious Right has political clout and can make a loud noise in the American public square, whereas the non-religious voice is muted. There are two main reasons for the hardening of responses by non-religious folk. One is that any increase in the influence of religious bodies in society threatens the de facto secular arrangement that allows all views and none to coexist. History has shown that in societies where one religious outlook becomes dominant, an uneasy situation ensues for other outlooks; at the extreme, religious control of society can degenerate into Taliban-like rule. Look at the period in which liberty of conscience was at last secured in Christian Europe - the 16th and 17th centuries. It was an ...

Who was Isis? The Aretalogy of Aset (Isis)
An aretalogy is a kind of list, stating a deity´s virtues. There are several of these for Aset. An early form of aretalogy were probably short statements made by the deities as early as the Coffin Texts. In Spell 148 Aset says about herself: I am Aset, one more spiritlike and august than the gods. Whether the Aretalogy given below is Egyptian or Greek in origin is not totally clear. In the text are evidences for both. This one is older than the hymns on Philae temple walls, but it dates from the Ptolemeian period and is one of the few which has come down to us in complete form: I am Isis, ruler of every land I was taught by Hermes (Thoth) and with Hermes devised letters, both hieroglyphic and demotic, that all might not be written with the same. I gave laws to mankind and ordained what no one can change I am the eldest daughter of Kronos I am the wife and sister of King Osiris I am the one who discovered wheat for mankind I am the mother of King Horus I am the one who rises in the Dog-star I am the one called Goddess by women For me was built the city of Bubastis I separated the earth from the Heaven I showed the paths of the stars I regulated the course of the sun and the moon I devised the activities of seamanship I made what is right strong I brought together woman and man I assigned to women to bring into light of day their infants in the tenth month I ordained that parents should be loved by children I imposed punishment upon those unkindly disposed towards their ...

gods of egypt p#2
This sounds more like how it happened..."Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of 10 things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these 10 things, he has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish where he will send *you* to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever til the end of time...but he loves you." -- George Carlin Ancient Egyptian legends tell of Tep Zepi, or the First Time. This is described as an age when "sky gods" came down to Earth and raised the land from mud and water. They supposedly flew through the air in flying "boats" and brought laws and wisdom to man through a royal line of pharaohs. Of course, this was all thrown out the window when christianity came along. Keep in mind that the Gods were the one and only 'religion' that there was. No other conflicting beliefs? Why? Well, because it was fact, not faith. The modern church would have you believe that's it's just a myth. But you have to ask yourself on the edge of occams razor, what truly indeed is more likely? That a very advanced alien race came down and altered our gen pool, like ALL other anceint cultures concur with OR, that a bearded spirit in the sky basically went ZAP, and created us in six days. ( And kicked back on the seventh) Well, at least the bibler concurs that he "Made ...

Deities I Worship
This video was a request to explain what deities I personally worship / revere. The list is frequently changing as I learn more about different Deities and so it is hard to do a final video; therefore, I have left space at the end so I can add more as I go along. Also some deities may enter or leave my 'main Gods and Goddesses' category as time goes on.

MGS ( Fiend Roar Deity) Synchro Deck
MGS Synchro ( MaGoShin is japanese for Demon Roar Gods, Fiend Roar Deities in TCG terms.) MGS Synchro is an expensive deck to play. But what makes it worth it to play is its pure speed and ability to overturn a situation with the help of 1 or 2 Monsters. MGS is a Duel Terminal Set that specializes in trigger or Ignition effects from discarding. Even if they are discarded for a cost their effects still activate, this makes them into a next generation Dark World series with the only difference of them being all Light monsters. An MGS Deck is made for Speed, from references from previous videos, if you observe carefully, you can see a pattern of gameplay that swarms out a full field or just a few key Synchros to whack for Game. Stuff you can run : Honest - Becareful of clogging the hand ( Legion is important and Honest kinda hurts Legion Spamming.) Beckoning Light - A decent choice but its more for player pref whether or not this should be used. For info on MGS check the wikia : yugioh.wikia.com Pros : Speed and Swarming are very strong. Amazing Support for the series ( Best DT Set to have support SOLELY from Duel Terminal Sets.) Imagine what their spell and trap supports are like xD Cons : Susceptible to DD or Anti-Meta Elements. Requires you to play according to the Pattern ( Legion spam + Eventual Swarming.) this part depends on how fast the player adapts to this . Thanks for watching and reading =D
