"Sea of Dreams: Tokyo DisneySea 5th Anniversary Theme Song" is the sixteenth single by Japanese recording artist Misia. It was released on July 12, 2006 and was included as a bonus track on the first pressing of Misia's seventh studio album Ascension.
"Sea of Dreams: Tokyo DisneySea 5th Anniversary Theme Song" was released only a week after "Luv Parade/Color of Life." The artwork for the single cover features Misia and Mickey Mouse on a boat covered with flowers, overlooked by the Tokyo DisneySea theme park. The first pressing of the single includes three of nine postcards of Misia at Tokyo DisneySea. The pictures used for the postcards were shot at Mount Prometheus and Mediterranean Harbor, two of the theme park's "port-of-calls."
Misia was a special guest at the Tokyo DisneySea Countdown Event on December 31, 2006, where she performed the theme song for the show-goers.
"Sea of Dreams" was co-written by Misia and John Kavanaugh, while the composition and production were handled by Kavanaugh. Misia, who is said to be an avid Disney fan, was offered by the Tokyo Disney Resort producers to be the first artist to sing the theme song for the Tokyo DisneySea theme park. The song was written to celebrate the theme park's fifth anniversary and served as its theme song for a duration of ten months, starting July 14, 2006. In a press release, Misia commented, "When I saw the (Tokyo DisneySea) show, I was overcome with energy and tears of happiness. Disney offers entertainment that truly makes people happy and I can relate to that because it is also something I strive for as an artist."
Joanna Pacitti (born October 6, 1984) is an American singer and lead vocalist in the band City (Comma) State.
In 1996, at age 12, Pacitti was chosen to star in the 20th anniversary revival of the musical Annie after entering a contest sponsored by the department store Macy's. Pacitti starred in 106 performances with the national tour, obtaining mixed reviews.
Shortly before the show was to open on Broadway, she was terminated by the show's producers. The firing generated national publicity. Pacitti appeared for interviews on ABC World News Tonight, Good Morning America, American Journal and Turning Point, an in-depth report with Barbara Walters. Her family employed a public relations strategist to elicit opportunities with various media outlets.[citation needed] After successfully appealing the initial rejection of her case, Pacitti eventually settled out of court on undisclosed terms.
Pacitti began pursuing a pop career throughout her teenage years. When she was 14 years old, she was discovered by Michelle Young, who met her in a restaurant and was instantly impressed by her demo tapes. Young introduced her to various people in the music business, ultimately resulting in a five-year record deal with industry giant Ron Fair of A&M records.

She said I know you
And I wanted her to know me
She said it's beautiful
And I asked her to show me
We walked through gardens
Where the flowers sang in color
We touched the things that
Are only sometimes touched by lovers
She moves so gracefully
Through silk and satin shadow
We knew of things that one time were only known
With eyes closed
We both caressed the air
And made it sing
She knew of love
She knew of everything
The sun shone down on her
Through clouds of pink and orange
La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la
She spoke in words that told of
Things that really mattered
Be kind to rabbits
The stories she told me of long ago,
Started with love and ended in sorrow.
The peaks of the mountains disappear,
Eroded by heartbreak and all her tears.
It started one Sunday afternoon,
Intoxicated by flowers bloom.
I fell asleep by the big maple tree.
That's where she said she saw me.
Spirits recognize from previous lives,
The love we share; the passion we refuse to hide.
We made love in the subtlest of ways.
Rain clouds so very far away.
Time as abundant as the blue sky.
I'd live forever she was the reason...
...Why count the days when tomorrow will only be the
Same pure heaven, Oh your lovin’,
Paves the roads with solid gold.
Never makes me want to return...
...Home is of a different world. Lucid dreams are flooding me.
Fantasy and earthquake.
There's only so much one can take,
Before they slip and then begin to...
...Break. I don't want to fall away from here. So full of fear,
But gravity pulls me back to reality.
Nothing’s ever as it seems,
