(6) Statics in Equilibrium - M1 Mechanics (particle on horizontal plane)
These questions rely on prior understand so please watch in order. They are taken from the Edexcel M1 Mechanics AS mathematics module. Much of the detail in modelling real life situations is ignored in the syllabus. Please ensure the level its pitched at is adequate for your course requirements.

Drex's Tech Poi Blog #81: horizontal stall chases with quarter-time stalls
Sorry about the audio! The mike on my flipcam isn't great, I'm afraid, but hopefully, the ideas I'm playing with here will still come across. I've been working on a way to make the now-cliche stall chase work in horizontal plane and came up with this approach which utilizes plane shifts to give us a brief moment of the poi angles straight out before one or the other has to stall down. Interestingly enough, it also yields a shape that's compatible with the quarter-time stall chasing patterns I showed off a couple weeks ago. Why this is cool is that the moment when the poi are arrayed straight out offers a transition point to get into these quarter-time patterns from either split-time same direction or same time opposites.

Analyzing The Dip - Butterfly Kick / Twist Practice
Butterfly kick and twist practice. Needless to say, I need more practice! Including an analysis of the "dip". Please note that movements were exaggerated for demonstration purposes. Exhibit A demonstrates the dip at or above the horizontal plane. A1) Lower Body Full Squat (Horse) Position A2) Upper Body Maintains At or Above Horizontal A3) Back Remains Straight & Engaged Exhibit B demonstrates the dip below the horizontal plane. B1) Upper Body Dips Below Horizontal Plane B2) More Difficult to Hit Full Squat Position B3) Difficult to Keep the Back Straight & Engaged My Analysis: I believe dipping below the horizontal plane, although more difficult, is technically correct. It requires a more explosive jump and strong lower back muscles. The lower the dip below horizontal, the more control required to maintain momentum for the jump. 2008 Butterfly Kick Films butterflykick.com

Cognifront : Projection of 3D Pyramid
This video shows Engineering (Technical) Drawing of 3D pyramid. This pyramid has hexagonal base and it is lying on Horizontal Plane (HP) with its slant edge on ground. We solve this problem step by step. All steps are explained verbally & animated.

064 Anatomical Planes and Spatial Relationships in the Human Body
www.interactive-biology.com - Making Biology Fun http - Get your BIology Questions Answered In this video, I deal with the anatomical planes in the human body - the coronal/frontal, saggital, and transverse/horizontal planes. I then go into the spatial relationships and show how the relationships change as you pass the midbrain.

Understanding the Planes of the Body- Preventing Injuries and Muscular Imbalances
www.facebook.com Often times, many of us tend to forget to train in 1 or more planes. Its important to understand how we move and what movements we go through most in our daily lifestyles and training routine. Sagital plane: The sagital plane divides the body into left and right section. It is a vertical plane that runs from down to up the body. Movements such as flexion and extension happen in this plane. The midsagital or median plane, is also parallel to the sagintal plane. The sagital plane doesn't necessarily have to be exactly in the middle, but the midsaggital does. Example exercises in the sagital plane include some of the most common movements such as leg extensions, front dumbbell raises, biceps curls and everyday tasks such as walking, running, going up the stairs and standing up. Keep in mind these exercises are forward and backward without crossing the mid line of the body. Coronal Plane: Also known as frontal plane, separates the body into anterior and posterior parts. Sideways movements such as abduction adduction happen in the front and back position. An example exercise that happens in this plane includes side raises. Transverse Plane: Divides the body into superior and inferior parts. Also called the horizontal plane, axial plane, or transaxial plane. It is also perpendicular to the coronal and sagittal planes. Movements of rotation happen in this plane.
