Japanese food / Okonomiyaki / Yakisoba (お好み焼き / 焼きそば) Japanese pancake
Japanese food / Okonomiyaki / Yakisoba (お好み焼き / 焼きそば) Japanese pancake
This is "Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き)" and "Yakisoba (焼きそば)". I will describe more about the food bellow. First however this video is basically of a "Mom and Pop" style restaurant. It's been in this location for 42 years. I'm very lucky to get to eat here often. I wanted to post this video to give people and inside look at Japanese food, real Japanese food, and also to show that it's not all about Sushi in Japan. The Japanese do eat other foods besides Sushi. (It's true) These two foods that are in this video today can be purchased almost everywhere in Japan. From restaurants, grocery stores, and also convenient stores. If you come to Japan I highly recommend eating Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba if you want to eat "real" Japanese food. Okonomiyaki is very popular all over Japan, but is considered a dish local to Osaka and Hiroshima, but don't tell that to the people in Osaka, they will tell you that Okonomiyahi is originally from Osaka, and that Okonomiyaki in Hiroshima is totally different. I've had both. Okonomiyaki in Hirmoshimi has a lot more cabbage and soba noodles. The ingredients are a little different as well, but equally good. (in my opinion.) The Hiroshima dish is called "Hiroshimayaki" as well. Yakisoba bascially means "fried noodles" and as you can see in the video there are a lot of noodles, cabbage and just so many other things added. The ingredients in this video: I'm not sure of everything, but I will put the basics as well as I can. Okonomiyaki: Flour, Pork ...
