China Masters

The China Masters is an annual badminton tournament held in China. It became part of the BWF Superseries tournaments in 2007. Since 2014 the level of the tournament being downgraded to BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix, due to the rules that forbid a country for having 2 BWF Superseries tournaments in a year.

Dan Vs.

Dan Vs. is an American Flash animated television series created by Dan Mandel and Chris Pearson. The series spanned three seasons, airing on The Hub from January 1, 2011, to March 9, 2013.

Plot

The show is about Dan, a jobless misanthrope with a soft spot for animals, caught in odd misfortunes and being unable to correctly provide income for himself. Being in a jobless state constantly, Dan becomes pushed by various foes and inconsiderate persons of society causing him to become angry, rude, crude, and vengeful upon things that make society worse and even more difficult to live in (whoever has wronged him). Accompanying him is his better-off friend Chris, a big softy, who lives in comfortable social class with a house and steady income to even contently pay for the little or big expenses that Dan needs. His dull day-jobs and stressful work causes him to not be able to help but go along with Dan's wild plots or to get even despite how ridiculous they may seem, tempered, or out-of-line they get. Even when Dan gets on his last nerves he can't but help not abandoning him, "knowing there is something worth saving in him" [Dan vs *Dan Impostor episode]. Both their friendship stemming from a bad experience from summer camp through High School these two, along with Elise, to go after the things that make society even more unbearable than it already is. The third regular character is Elise, Chris's wife, who objects to Chris's participation in Dan's revenge quests, but, on occasion joins in due to some of Dan's plots sharing similarities with her childhood annoyances. Due to her being busy with her secret operative work for the government, Elise's character enables advanced help upon some of Dan's revenge missions due to her skills and most of her missions act as a subplot in the show. The show is set primarily in the Los Angeles, CA, area, and background scenes often show notable landmarks in and around Los Angeles.

Lin Dan

Lin Dan (born October 14, 1983 in Longyan, Fujian) is a professional badminton player from China. He is a two-time Olympic champion, five-time world champion, and five-time All England champion. Considered by many to be the greatest singles player of all time, by the age of 28 Lin had completed the "Super Grand Slam", having won all nine major titles in the badminton world: Olympic Games, World Championships, World Cup, Thomas Cup, Sudirman Cup, Super Series Masters Finals, All England Open, Asian Games, and Asian Championships, becoming the first and only player to achieve this feat. He also graduate Master degree and became the first men's singles player to retain the Olympic gold medal by winning in 2008 and defending his title in 2012.

In 2004, Lin was dubbed "Super Dan" by opponent Peter Gade after winning the All England Open final, and the nickname has since been widely used by his fans as well as the media to refer to him, in recognition of his achievements.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu

Kiriko Takemura (竹村 桐子, Takemura Kiriko, born January 29, 1993), known by her stage name Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅ, Kyarī Pamyu Pamyu), is a Japanese fashion model and singer. Her public image is associated with Japan's kawaisa and decora culture centered in the Harajuku neighborhood of Tokyo. Her music is produced by musician Yasutaka Nakata of electronic music duo Capsule.

Kyary is well known for her 2011 single, "PonPonPon", which made Japan's top ten. The 2012 singles "Candy Candy" and "Fashion Monster" followed the success. She has since released three full-length albums, Pamyu Pamyu Revolution in 2012, Nanda Collection in 2013, and Pika Pika Fantajin in 2014.

Though most of her success as a recording artist has been in Asia, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has also gained popularity in Western countries due in part to internet videos which have gone viral. Media outlets have referred to Kyary as "Harajuku Pop Princess", and she has been photographed for magazines such as Dazed & Confused. In 2013, Kyary signed a distribution deal with Sire Records to release her material in the United States.

Kōki Hirota

Kōki Hirota (廣田 弘毅, Hirota Kōki, 14 February 1878 – 23 December 1948) was a Japanese diplomat and politician who served as the 32nd Prime Minister of Japan from 9 March 1936 to 2 February 1937. Originally his name was Jōtarō (丈太郎). He was executed for war crimes committed during World War II.

Early life

Hirota was born in Kaji-machi dori (鍛冶町通り) in what is now part of Chūō-ku, Fukuoka city, Fukuoka Prefecture. His father was a stonemason whose family name was Tokubei (徳平), and who was adopted into the Hirota family. Tokubei married Take (タケ), a daughter of the president of a Japanese noodle company. On 14 February 1878, the couple had a son, whom Tokubei named Jōtarō (丈太郎). They later had three more children. Tokubei's name is engraved on the epigraph which recognized masons who contributed to the construction of a statue of Emperor Kameyama in Azuma park (東公園) in Fukuoka city.

Hirota's writing was recognized as good from a young age; the name plate of the torii gate of Suikyo Shrine was written by Hirota when he was 11. After attending Shuyukan, he continued his education at Tokyo Imperial University and graduated with a law degree. One of his classmates was postwar Prime Minister Shigeru Yoshida.
