L/S of the muddy shores of the Thames between Blackfriars and Southwark. M/S of London University student, Janet Manning climbing down a ladder from a wharf onto the mud. Janet joins three other amateur archaeologists 'mudlarking' - they are all members of the Thames Basin Archaeology Group.
C/U of the water washing over a broken bottle buried in the shore. One of the male archaeologists picks up the bottle and places it in a bag. C/U of broken clay pipes half buried in the mud. Filmed 1 July 2012. 250 yrs to grow and dry a week's Midwinter Firewood for 1 Normal house in Glen Innes.
The 3/4 of a Ton (1680 pounds) actually came from 5 different, and younger, trees ; but a Single-Growth Stringybark Tree, sprouting in 1662, and being felled in 1962, with 50 years to dry out... That would be about right, if one wondered how long it takes to make Firewood, before harvesting it.
How long a Forest has to grow for a Ton of Coal to be produced, or a Ton of Liqnuified Natural Gas, is a thing I don't know.
But at 300 Years to the Ton, I do know it works out not to be particularly sustainable.
I don't kill trees for firewood, but I do clean up evidence of past Vandalism ; while reducing the Bushfire Fuel Load, to merelx Terrifying levels...

The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki is housed in a 1962 edifice, designed by architect Patroklos Karantinos. It is a listed building as a unique example of modernist art in Greece. The Museum's collections include distinctive works of art and excavation finds from across Macedonia, as the archaeological service was the first state service to operate in Thessaloniki immediately after the liberation of the city. Since 2002 it operates as an independent special peripheral service of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
In 2003 the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki was completely renovated in order to meet new technical and museological advances. The new exhibition of antiquities was organized into six permanent thematic units that encompass all aspects of personal and public life in antiquity. One grand and 2--5 minor temporary exhibitions take place annually, covering special and unique features of the Macedonians' everyday life in relation to the wider cultural framework of the rest of the Greek world and the broader zone of southeastern Mediterranean basin.

This highly styled Dream Car began life as a 1954 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday Coupe. It was used as a daily driver until 1960-1961 when Tom & Joanne Archer began building a truly unique one-off radical custom show car. In 1962 it had been converted into a pickup for Joanne Dream by her husband Tom and was finished in 1963. The resurrection of the car was rebuild in 2010. this car was awarded the Most Radical Custom and other noted awards at some of the biggest events in the 1960's. It also received George Barris Exclusive 'D'Elegance' Award. This is where it all began !

We can also find stickers in the eggs so you can share your adventures with your friends and if you want some candy, the dinosaur eggs will offer you candy in fruit flavor. On the list you can check how many dinosaur you already have. Do you prefer the herbivorous or carnivorous dinosaurs? I found Tyrannosaurus rex and other big and small dinosaur so was a big adventure.

The concept of introducing a toy in a chocolate seems to have originated in Argentina in 1962, with the introduction in the market of "Jack" chocolate by the FelFort company.

Firewood/Forest Archaeology Series... Clip # 3.
Filmed 1 July 2012. 250 yrs to grow and dry a week's Midwinter Firewood for 1 Normal house in Glen Innes. The 3/4 of a Ton (1680 pounds) actually came from 5 different, and younger, trees ; but a Single-Growth Stringybark Tree, sprouting in 1662, and being felled in 1962, with 50 years to dry out... That would be about right, if one wondered how long it takes to make Firewood, before harvesting it. How long a Forest has to grow for a Ton of Coal to be produced, or a Ton of Liqnuified Natural Gas, is a thing I don't know. But at 300 Years to the Ton, I do know it works out not to be particularly sustainable. I don't kill trees for firewood, but I do clean up evidence of past Vandalism ; while reducing the Bushfire Fuel Load, to merelx Terrifying levels... -

This highly styled Dream Car began life as a 1954 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday Coupe. It was used as a daily driver until 1960-1961 when Tom & Joanne Archer began building a truly unique one-off radical custom show car. In 1962 it had been converted into a pickup for Joanne Dream by her husband Tom and was finished in 1963. The resurrection of the car was rebuild in 2010. this car was awarded the Most Radical Custom and other noted awards at some of the biggest events in the 1960's. It also received George Barris Exclusive 'D'Elegance' Award. This is where it all began ! -

One grand and 2--5 minor temporary exhibitions take place annually, covering special and unique features of the Macedonians' everyday life in relation to the wider cultural framework of the rest of the Greek world and the broader zone of southeastern Mediterranean basin.

Divine judgment by God was then passed upon Sodom and Gomorrah and two neighboring cities, which were completely consumed by fire and brimstone. Neighboring Zoar (Bela) was the only city to be spared. In Abrahamic religions, Sodom and Gomorrah have become synonymous with impenitent sin, and their fall with a proverbial manifestation of divine retribution.[5][6][Jude 1:7] Sodom and Gomorrah have been used as metaphors for vice and homosexuality viewed as a deviation. The story has therefore given rise to words in several languages, including the English word sodomy, used in sodomy laws to describe a sexual "crime against nature" consisting of anal or oral sex, either homosexual or heterosexual, or sexual activity between a person and a non-human animal (bestiality).[7] Some Islamic societies incorporate punishments associated with Sodom and Gomorrah into sharia.[8]

On the 15th of July 2011, the time of the Institute for Media Studies in Sophienstraße 22a is coming to an end and together with the other institutes, we will relocate to the Pergamon Palais on Kupfergraben, on the site of Hegel's house. This transmission marks an occasion to bring together teachers, researchers, students and friends of Sophienstraße to process and store the times and ideas which emerged in this spot, in order to duly celebrate our farewell. Furthermore, we will present the new volume "Media Archaeology", edited by our current research fellow Jussi Parikka together with Erkki Huhtamo.

LOCKHART, Texas (AP) — Federal officials say a hot air balloon carrying at least 16 people caught on fire and crashed in Central Texas, and it is unclear whether there are injuries or deaths. Lynn Lunsford with the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that the accident happened about 8.40 a.m. Saturday near Lockhart, Texas, when the hot air balloon crashed into a pasture ... A hot air balloon carrying at least 16 people caught on fire and crashed in Central Texas on Saturday, and there did not appear to be any survivors, authorities said. Authorities would not confirm the exact number of deaths, but Lynn Lunsford with the Federal Aviation Administration said the balloon was carrying at least 16 people and the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that it didn't look like anyone survived....

Even though the latter has been gone for half a century, it is, in a way, resurrected in the new Artesian, built by the Chickasaw Nation in 2013 ...
