Great Sounding North American B-25 Mitchell. Dunsfold 2009..
What a friendly bunch of people, the B25 crew were. they were handing out stickers, showing WW2 veterans around the B25, and they also gave a passing motorcyclist, who had run out of fuel, some fuel from the B25 tanks. This bomber is part of the Royal Netherlands historical flight. www.skhv.nl

Jimmy Doolittle Japan Raid, B-25 Mitchell Bomber, 1942
A collection of pictures in video format and historic film clips by mikeminnesota showing Doolittle's mission to attack Tokyo at the beginning of the Pacific war after the Japanese attack to Pearl Harbor. MIlitary part of the raid included Low, Halsey, Duncan, Marc Mitscher of Hornet CV-8. Jimmy Doolittle led 16 B-25 Mitchell Bombers off the deck of the aircraft carrier Hornet (CV-8). The Doolittle Raid, April 18, 1942, was the first air raid by the United States to strike the Japanese home island during World War II. The mission was notable since it was the only time in US Military history that United States Army Air Forces bombers (16 modified B-25B bombers) were launched from a US Navy aircraft carrier on a combat mission. The raid demonstrated that the Japanese home islands were vulnerable to Allied air attack, and it provided an expedient means for US retaliation for Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. 2009 New Garden Airshow - B-25 Mitchell
B-25 Mitchell "Briefing Time" 2009 New Garden Airshow New Garden Airport Toughkenamon, Pennsylvania Sunday June 14, 2009 IN THIS VIDEO, you will see the B-25 Mitchell "Briefing Time" taxi out, take off, perform several passes, and land. "Briefing Time" is part of the Mid Atlantic Air Museum, based in Reading, PA, and is a regular at the New Garden Airport. The flybys were performed along the aerobatic box while I shot from near the end of the runway. Like what you've seen? If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take the time to check out Steve's Airshow World at www.stevesairshow.com .

North American B-25 Mitchell Flight Demo- Inside and Out !
This is my little production of a flight demo of the famous North Amercan B-25 Mitchell medium bomber. The B-25 is powered by two Wright R-2600 14-cylinder engines of about 1700 horsepower (depending on the engine model). This was the aircraft that was used by General Jimmy Doolittle and the other crews in the 1942 raid on Tokyo launched from the USS Hornet aircraft carrier. An amazing story of courage, daring and fortitude! This clip is dedicated to my Dad who flew B-25s during WWII. Really, really noisy and hot inside and most all, one heck of a lot of FUN for a real warbird enthusiast ! Most of the exterior shots are of the Planes of Fame (Chino, California) B-25. The interior shots are from the Collings Foundation's B-25 "Tondelayo."

B-25 Mitchell "Panchito" 2009Dover AFB Open House & Airshow Dover AFB, Delaware Sunday June 21, 2009 IN THIS VIDEO, watch as Larry Kelly takes the B-25 Mitchell "Panchito" to the skies over Dover AFB for a short demonstration. I was unsure of Larry flying the B-25 at Dover until he actually flew that day - thinking he would fly it in the warbird flight, but it's always nice to have the B-25 by itself in the airshow box. North American B-25 Mitchell: World War II twin-engined bomber at La Comina Aerocentenaria
Click Here and Subscribe Now rp9.it The North American B-25 Mitchell was an American twin-engined medium bomber used by many Allied air forces during the World War II. The B-25 first gained fame as the bomber used in the 18 April 1942 Doolittle Raid, in which 16 B-25Bs led by Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Doolittle attacked mainland Japan, four months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It's the airplane starring of the movie "Pearl Harbor". On Saturday, 28 July 1945, at 0940 (while flying in thick fog), a USAAF B-25D crashed into the north side of the Empire State Building, hitting between the 79th and 80th floor. This North American B-25 Mitchell is called Russell's Raider. Airplane Junkyard - Newbury, Ohio
Shot with a Nikon D90 and both the 10-24mm and 18-200mm. All of the shots are tripod-mounted still video, as opposed to still photos. The slow zooms were added after the fact. I have to apologize for the lousy pans though. those were done while shooting. I hadn't planned on shooting much video and my tripod had only a tiny ball head at the time.
The airplanes were collected through the 60s and 70s by Ohio resident Walter Soplata, who passed away in November 2010. The collection is not open to the public. Since Mr. Soplata's passing the collection is being organized and sold off to museums and restorers. I have no contact information for those who are dealing with the airplanes.
The music in the video is "Behold A Republic" by Gurdonark, and was found on ccmixter.org. It features audio of a campaign speech by William McKinley from 1896, as well as a speech by Dwight D. Eisenhower from August of 1959.

Top Flite B-25 Mitchell Bomber - Maiden Flight 4-30-2011
The B-25 Mitchell by Top Flite! 88" Wing Span Twin OS .55 Nitro Motors Robart Air retracts On-board Glow (Not attached for this flight) My Maiden FLight! This baby really flys nice! I even Roll it during my maiden flight! At the end of my flight, I start making a couple of practice Landing Approaches to FEEL the plane out for a smooth landing. On my 3rd approach, I like the flaps, the power setting and am ready to Go AROUND to make the Actual Landing! BUT!!!! When I hit the gas to go back up, the right motor stalls, it starts to Yaw Right, I kill the left motor, level off, keep the nose straight, yaw back to the left to avoid that big ol fence! Last minute, pull the nose up a bit, LAND on main gear first, TOUCH DOWN! TOTALLY SAFE! NOT A SCRATCH, NOT A GUN OUT OF PLACE!!!! I replay the emergency landing again at half speed! Sooo Cool! Looking forward to flying this baby again! THANK YOU FOR WATCHING, COMMENTING AND SUBSCRIBING! Want More Information on my planes?
