Biography

Before venturing into music, she worked as a presenter for the Dar es Salaam-based Clouds FM radio station. She released her debut album "Mapenzi Yangu" in 2003.

She has toured East Africa, China, United Kingdom and other countries.

She been a subject of a controversy since erotic or pornographic pictures and videos of her have been circulating in the public.

Ray C. Bliss

Ray Charles Bliss (December 16, 1907 – August 6, 1981) was one of the important national U.S. Republican Party leaders of the 1960s and served as chairman of the Republican National Committee from 1965 to 1969. He helped to pull the Republican party back together after Barry Goldwater's defeat in 1964 and his work culminated in the election of Richard M. Nixon as president in 1968. He had been Ohio Republican state chair (1954–1965) and was a delegate to Republican National Convention from Ohio in 1952, 1956, 1960, 1964, 1972.

Bliss was an Akron, Ohio native and 1935 graduate of the University of Akron where he was initiated as a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. Bliss is the namesake of the Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics established in 1986 at the University of Akron to promote citizen knowledge and participation in the political process, values in which Bliss strongly believed. Bliss served over nine years on the University of Akron board of trustees and was chair of the board at the time of his death.

Bliss Institute

The Bliss Institute is a theatre, museum, and National Arts Council in the cultural center of Belize City. It is named after Baron Bliss.

The original construction started in 1953 and finished one year later. The architectural design was done under modernist international style. The program consisted in a library, an auditorium, an exhibition area and reading rooms. The gallery for the auditorium resembled the prow of a ship. The trusteeship of Baron Bliss invested $251,829 dls in the construction of the building and $7,532 in furniture.

It was almost all refurbished in 2003 by a Mexican construction company, becoming the Bliss Centre for the Performing Arts, housing the headquaeters for ICA (Institute of Creative Arts).

The museum contains a number of notable archaeological finds from the Mayan site of Caracol. The theatre stages numerous concerts and a number of artistic exhibitions and political events are held in the complex.
