The Great Gatsby (2000 film)
The Great Gatsby is a 2000 television film adaptation of the novel The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
It was made in collaboration by the A&E Cable Network in the United States, and Granada Productions in Great Britain. It was directed by Robert Markowitz from a teleplay by John J. McLaughlin. The music score was by Carl Davis and the cinematography by Guy Dufaux. The production was designed by Taavo Soodor.
The film stars Toby Stephens, Mira Sorvino, Paul Rudd and Martin Donovan.
This version is the fourth time that The Great Gatsby has been filmed.

The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby is a 1925 novel written by American author F. Scott Fitzgerald that follows a cast of characters living in the fictional town of West Egg on prosperous Long Island in the summer of 1922. The story primarily concerns the young and mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his quixotic passion and obsession for the beautiful former debutante Daisy Buchanan. Considered to be Fitzgerald's magnum opus, The Great Gatsby explores themes of decadence, idealism, resistance to change, social upheaval, and excess, creating a portrait of the Jazz Age or the Roaring Twenties that has been described as a cautionary tale regarding the American Dream.
Fitzgerald—inspired by the parties he had attended while visiting Long Island's north shore—began planning the novel in 1923, desiring to produce, in his words, "something new—something extraordinary and beautiful and simple and intricately patterned." Progress was slow, with Fitzgerald completing his first draft following a move to the French Riviera in 1924. His editor, Maxwell Perkins, felt the book was vague and persuaded the author to revise over the next winter. Fitzgerald was repeatedly ambivalent about the book's title and he considered a variety of alternatives, including titles that referenced the Roman character Trimalchio; the title he was last documented to have desired was Under the Red, White, and Blue.

The Great Gatsby (2013 film)
The Great Gatsby is a 2013 Hollywood epic romantic drama film based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel of the same name. The film was co-written and directed by Baz Luhrmann, and stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the eponymous Jay Gatsby, with Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, and Elizabeth Debicki in supporting roles. Production began in 2011 and took place in Australia, with AU$105 million budget. The film follows the life and times of millionaire Jay Gatsby and his neighbor Nick (Maguire), who recounts his encounter with Gatsby at the height of the Roaring Twenties. The film was originally going to be released to theaters on December 25, 2012 but was moved to May 10, 2013, to accommodate the film being shown in 3D.
While the film received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the performances but criticized the editing, soundtrack, and lack of loyalty to the book, audiences responded much more positively, and F. Scott Fitzgerald's granddaughter praised the film, stating "Scott would have been proud". As of 2014, it is Baz Luhrmann's highest grossing film, having earned over AU$350 million worldwide. At the 86th Academy Awards, the film won in both of its nominated categories: Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.

The Great Gatsby is a 1974 American romantic drama film distributed by Newdon Productions and Paramount Pictures. It was directed by Jack Clayton and produced by David Merrick, from a screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel The Great Gatsby.
The film stars Robert Redford in the title role of Jay Gatsby, along with Mia Farrow, Sam Waterston, Bruce Dern, Karen Black, Scott Wilson, and Lois Chiles with Howard Da Silva, Roberts Blossom, and Edward Herrmann. Da Silva had previously appeared in the 1949 version.

Nick Carraway (Paul Rudd) lives in a cottage next door to the splendid estate of the wealthy and mysterious Jay Gatsby (Toby Stephens). As Nick gets to know his neighbor, he's drawn into Gatsby's glittering but shallow world, and through his eyes we watch as Gatsby brings all his resources to bear on making his dream come true, which is to reunite with his lost love Daisy Buchanan (Mira Sorvino). But Daisy's married now, and her loutish husband Tom (Martin Donovan) isn't going to just let go of her.

The Great Gatsby (2000 film)
The Great Gatsby is a 2000 television film adaptation of the novel The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
It was made in collaboration by the A&E Cable Network in the United States, and Granada Productions in Great Britain. It was directed by Robert Markowitz from a teleplay by John J. McLaughlin. The music score was by Carl Davis and the cinematography by Guy Dufaux. The production was designed by Taavo Soodor.
The film stars Toby Stephens, Mira Sorvino, Paul Rudd and Martin Donovan.
This version is the fourth time that The Great Gatsby has been filmed.
