The M+M's Tour (also known as the House of Blues Tour) was a promotional concert tour by American recording artist Britney Spears. The tour took place in May 2007, nearly three years after Spears' previous effort The Onyx Hotel Tour. The tour took place in nightclubs in the United States. The promotional tour debuted in the House of Blues in San Diego on May 1, 2007 and concluded on May 20, 2007 in the Mansion Nightclub in Miami. Due to the performances being rumored ahead of time the $35 face value tickets sold out immediately with ticket prices by second hand vendors increasing to as much as $500. The show featured five songs from Spears' previous recordings and featured no new material. The tour received support from DJ Frankie J.

Background and development

.|alt=A blond woman female performer wearing a black and red outfit, dancing with a group of men.]] The tour was rumored ahead of time by online and local media sources and was entitled "The M+M's" however later rumors sparked due to the erratic behaviour and personal problems at the time that the tour would be cancelled however every show was performed. Craig Marks from Blender stated that the reason for the performances was "She wants people to forget she's famous for shaving her head and going into rehab [...] She's famous for "Baby One More Time" and for being a dancer and being sexy and being a professional music artist." The date of the first San Diego performance a marquee outside of the House of Blues venue stated a mysterious band named "The M+M's" was set to perform. However due to the speculation a mass of media reporters arrived outside of the House of Blues venue anticipating Spears' arrival. It was reported that rehearsals for the promotional tour took place just hours before the show debuted with Nightclub owner Ivan Kane saying "She came on stage during rehearsal, looking very hot, with four backup dancers and sang three songs [...] They ran through the set several times, the choreography was smokin', and she sounded great."

Synopsis and reception

The performance started after a reported two hour DJ set with various DJ's which received a negative fan response. Preceding this Spears' entered the stage wearing a long brown wig, silver beaded bra, pleated white miniskirt and white boots and lip-synched to her debut single "...Baby One More Time". Followed by four blonde dancers in lingerie they performed a thirteen minute set with their performance gaining comparisons to the style of band The Pussycat Dolls. Edited versions of her singles; "...Baby One More Time" and "I'm a Slave 4 U" were performed before the dancers exited leaving Spears performing a chair based routine to her In the Zone track "Breathe on Me". The dancers re-entered taking a male fan from the audience for a seductive performance leaving Spears' to change costume into a hot pink bra, white fur coat and jean skirt performing her single "Do Somethin'" ending with a performance of "Toxic".
