Paul Matthew Pressey (born December 24, 1958) is an American former professional basketball player who is currently an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Pressey is widely, though unofficially, credited with being the originator of the point forward position, combining the attributes of a point guard and forward. While playing small forward for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1980s, Pressey took on many of the ball handling duties, even leading the team in assists for five straight years. He participated in the 1986 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, finishing in 6th place out of 8.
Pressey, along with John Johnson, served as a model for later players taking on the point forward role.
In 1992–93 he came out of retirement while an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors to help the team deal with many injuries to other players. He played 18 games before getting injured too.
His daughter attended the University of California, Berkeley and was a member of the Golden Bear volleyball squad that was a semifinalist at the women's 2007 NCAA Final Four. His sons Matt (Paul Jr.) and Phil played basketball for Missouri.
Anthony Jerome "Spud" Webb (born July 13, 1963) is an American retired professional basketball point guard. Webb, who played in the National Basketball Association, is notable for winning a slam dunk contest despite being one of the shortest players in NBA history. NBA.com lists him at 5 feet 7 inches (170 cm) tall. He is currently the President of Basketball Operations for the Texas Legends, the D-League team for the Dallas Mavericks in Frisco, Texas.
Webb was born into poverty in Dallas, Texas. He was raised in a small two-bedroom home and used basketball as an inspiration. Webb was not tall, but he used his quickness and jumping ability to outplay the other, bigger kids. Starting in the seventh grade, Webb was told that he was too short to play basketball. He received a chance to play on his junior high team only after two players forgot to complete their physical exam requirements in time for the first game. Webb scored 20 points in that first game. He could dunk the ball when he was 5 feet 3 inches (1.60 m). At Wilmer-Hutchins High School, he played on the junior varsity team where he made a large impact. When he made the varsity team, he averaged 26 points per game.

Gerald Bernard Wilkins (born September 11, 1963) is a retired American professional basketball player. A 6'6" (1.98 m) shooting guard/small forward, who played collegiately at Moberly Area Community College and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga before a career in the NBA.
Gerald is the younger brother of former Atlanta Hawks superstar Dominique Wilkins and father of guard/forward Damien Wilkins and Miss Georgia USA 2012 and Miss USA 2012 4th Runner-Up Jasmyn Wilkins. He was a key player on the New York Knicks team of the late 1980s, consistently being the second leading scorer after Patrick Ewing. He was selected in the 1985 NBA Draft and was once named Player of the Week (3/3/91). Gerald followed in his brother's footsteps, participating in the 1986 and 1987 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, where he finished 4th and tied for 7th out of 8, respectively.
Though initially a starter on the Knicks, his role decreased with the arrival of shooting guard John Starks in 1990 and small forward Xavier McDaniel in 1992. He became a free agent after the 1992 season and signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers, which had a core of Mark Price, Larry Nance, and Brad Daugherty. The Cavaliers hoped that Wilkins would be the final piece of the puzzle in order to finally defeat Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. He was even labeled as "the Jordan stopper." However, the Cavaliers were swept by the Bulls in the 1993 NBA Playoffs. He remained with the Cavs for a few more years, but languished due to injuries, especially during 1994-95 when he was out of action the entire season.

February 8, 1986 - Milwaukee Bucks point forward Paul Pressey finished his first round out with a baby cradle that yielded a score of 37. Pressey scored 45 and 35 on his first two dunks (footage not available) and ultimately finished in sixth place.

I somehow find myself again putting these two in the same highlight reel together. Separately their stat-lines don't seem impressive enough to make one. But they contributed so much to those Milwaukee teams whether it's scoring, running the offense (Pressey does so when Moncrief is out, interestingly enough Rick Barry already used the term "point forward"), making defensive plays, grabbing a rebound from an unexpecting big man (by my unofficial count Pressey had 10 rebounds in this game), etc. Plenty of cool plays in the highlight reel from Moncrief's pre-injury ability to drive to the basket and finish thanks to his leaping ability to Pressey's nifty fakes when handling the ball. April 4, 1985.

"With Terry Cummings limping on a sore ankle, Paul Pressey and Paul Mokeski in street clothes, the one thing the Bucks couldn't afford was another injury. But 25 seconds into the game, forward Larry Krystkowiak went crashing to the floor with ligament damage in his left knee and Milwaukee was suddenly a nine-man basketball team. "Larry's injury was shocking," said Milwaukee Coach Del Harris, who insisted that Krystkowiak was shoved by Piston center Bill Laimbeer. TV replays showed that Krystkowiak's knee went out as he was trying to jump for a dunk with Laimbeer behind him. The television replay showed no evidence of a shove. Laimbeer said he made no contact with Krystkowiak, but Harris, who rushed onto the floor and picked up a technical foul while screaming at Laimbeer, wasn't buying...

80s Milwaukee Bucks is one of the most underrated teams, which is forgotten, because they played in a shadows of Celtics, 76ers and Lakers. But unique Don Nelson's strategy using point forward (Paul Pressey)and playing very good defense (thx to Moncrief and Pressey) made Bucks fun team to watch. I know that you’re scared
To be alone
I know that you’re afraid
To be unloved

Leave your regret at your feet

Leave your regret at your feet
And run away
Run away, away, away
