Syracuse Silver Knights Join Forces with Maureen's Hope
On March 2nd, 2016, the
Syracuse Silver Knights announced a partnership with
Maureen's
Hope, a charity organization which helps patients with cancer and other serious medical illnesses. The players and staff received beads before practice and wore them during training. Those beads would then go to kids battling cancer at the Golisano
Children's Hospital in
Syracuse, New York.
The Knights and Maureen's Hope will be working together to raise money for fighting pediatric cancer. Before practice,
Susan Bertrand, from Maureen's Hope, explained the players what their efforts will do for the kids at the hospital.
