Kellen Moore (born July 12, 1989 in Prosser, Washington) is an American football quarterback who is currently a member of the Detroit Lions in the National Football League. Moore was not selected in the 2012 NFL Draft but signed a free agent contract following the conclusion of the draft. Moore finished his college career with Boise State University in 2011. Moore holds the all-time record for wins by a starting quarterback in NCAA Division I FBS, finishing his career with a 50–3 record. He also finished fourth in voting for the 2010 Heisman Trophy.
Moore's father Tom was head coach at Prosser High School in his hometown from 1986 to 2008, winning 21 league titles and four state championships. During football season, he and younger brother Kirby, who would also play Boise State as a wide receiver, practiced plays in the backyard after football practice. As his father remembered in a 2011 interview, "He'd always have a little notepad with him. He was always drawing up plays." This immersion in football served him well as he developed—in his final two years of high school, his father let him call his own plays.
John Matthew Stafford (born February 7, 1988) is an American football quarterback for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Lions first overall in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Georgia. He is the 4th quarterback in NFL history to throw over 5,000 yards in a single season.
Stafford was born in Tampa, Florida to John and Margaret Stafford. He lived in Dunwoody, Georgia while his father attended graduate school at the University of Georgia. His family then moved to Dallas, Texas, and Stafford attended Highland Park High School. He was coached by Randy Allen and was widely considered to be one of the best high school quarterbacks in the United States in the Class of 2006, ranked ahead of Tim Tebow.
Stafford made his varsity debut in the 2002 playoffs against Sulphur Springs High School. He lettered in baseball as a power hitting first baseman where he was teammates with future Major League Baseball pitchers Clayton Kershaw and Jordan Walden. However, after a disappointing junior football season in which he threw for only 1,748 yards, 18 TDs and 11 INTs, Stafford quit baseball to concentrate on football.
Titus Young (born August 21, 1989) is an American football wide receiver with the Detroit Lions of the National Football League.
Young played for the Boise State Broncos football team. He had 204 receptions for 3,063 yards and 25 touchdowns in his collegiate career, including 71 receptions for 1,215 yards and 9 touchdowns in 2010. During a 42-7 win over the Hawai'i Warriors he had a career long catch for 83 yards.
Young declared himself eligible for the 2011 NFL Draft and was selected in the 2nd round with the 44th overall pick by the Detroit Lions. After making the 2011 roster, he has primarily been used as the team's #3 wide receiver and playing frequently in three-WR sets. On October 30 in 45-10 defeat of the Denver Broncos, Young caught 4 passes for 66 yards, including his first professional receiving touchdown (after which he leapt into the stands at Mile High Stadium, something that would become somewhat a trademark of his). He caught two passes for touchdowns in a 45-41 loss to Green Bay Packers on New Year's Day 2012.
