WEEHAWKEN, N.J. (AP) — Organizers of New Jersey's delayed Formula One race have added a new member to the executive team.
Christopher Pook will be special assistant to chairman Leo Hindery Jr. and will consult on construction and planning.
Pook founded USA Grand Prix West, the first Formula One street circuit race in the U.S. He also developed other races in Detroit, Las Vegas, Dallas, St. Louis, Denver and St. Petersburg, Fla. He's a former CEO of the Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) series in the U.S.
BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — Ferrari teammates Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa posted the fastest times in the first practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix on Friday.
After light rainfall early on, the track started to dry out midway through and times started tumbling towards the end of the morning session.
