Christmas in Willunga
Christmas in Willunga
My musical friend Sherilee Williams and I recorded this at my home to share with friends and family this year at Christmas. Originally performed live on 14 December 2012 on Tribe FM, Willunga, I wrote this just the night before as I was thinking of the season at hand and how you can always spot couples in love in a crowd because they move a little slower than everyone else! The song is also available in iTunes if you want best quality and it is registered with APRA for your convenience. Please feel free to share this with a friend or someone special - Peace on earth Nick Randall All content Copyright Nick Randall 2012 All rights reserved CHRISTMAS IN WILLUNGA Its been a year since last we were together, You can tell its close to Christmas cause the kids are out of school, And everybody's rushin' round except the ones in love, The time for them moves slowly, Oh so slowly, 'Specially when it comes tom Christmas time The childrens' eyes are wide with amazement, A little one is wondering, whats underneath the tree? For some its time together, for some its time apart, The time for them moves slowly, Oh so slowly, Specially when it comes to Christmas time. Chorus: Down about an hour south of the city, Meet me where the browning hills run to the sea, You and I can walk among the vales of rolling green, And I would be your lover, Before all others, Hey will you be mine this Christmas time? Nothing even time lasts forever, 'Still I just have to know how the waitings' been for you? Cause everybody's rushing round and I'm just missing you! And I just want to be there, And let the time move slowly, Hey will you be mine the Christmas time? Instrumental and Chorus .... And I would be your lover, This Christmas in Willunga, Hey will you be koine this Christmas time? South Australia through the eyes of local filmmaker, Ben Dowie.
The sun warms your arms and neck. Cool waves nibble at your ankles. Life is so relaxed in Willunga, it appears in slow motion. Strolling through quaint farmer's markets. Long drives past historic vineyards. Padding about in a little board. Brilliant day - time for a gourmet pizza with a cult fan following!

87 St Johns Terrace, Willunga
'Beltunga Trails' - A 4 Acre Wonderland Delight 'Beltunga Trails' is a charming 5 bedroom mud brick home built in 1987 and set amidst what can only be described as a wonderland garden setting of almost 4 acres (1.57 hectares). These lush grounds are divided down the centre by a pretty spring fed creek which meanders through the length of the block, providing natural irrigation and flourishing flora and fauna all year round. A never ending delight to explore, a boardwalk winds its way through an area of wetlands. An original slate miners cottage within the garden offers a historic renovation project and a multitude of uses. A flat expanse of lawn dotted with big leafy trees provides shady spots in which to throw down a picnic rug and spend a lazy afternoon soaking up the peaceful atmosphere. Stretch your legs with a hillside walk along the ridge top trail, where you can truly appreciate the magical surrounding countryside setting in all its glory. Cosy up in winter in front of the wood heater in the lounge. Spend warm summer days in the dappled shade of the trees. Watch in awe as native bird and animal life bursts forth in the spring. Marvel at the vast array of colours surrounding you during the autumn months. 'Beltunga Trails' is a delight 12 months of the year. Home features include: * 245m2 of living space * 5 good size bedrooms, 4 with attractive floating timber flooring * Large master bedroom with enormous built in wardrobe and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the garden * 'Sunken' carpeted lounge room with cosy slow combustion wood heater with attractive hearth and outlook over the gardens * Spacious elevated dining room overlooking the lounge and adjacent to the kitchen, with slate tiled flooring and down lighting * Good size up to date kitchen with contemporary glass splashback, stainless steel appliances and slate tiled flooring * Separate family/ games/ rumpus/ home theatre room with tiled flooring, door to outside, reverse cycle split system air conditioning unit and dual aspect windows * Big recently renovated contemporary family bathroom with large window, huge shower, bath and vanity * Separate toilet * Large laundry with built in cupboards * Large entrance area with slate tiled flooring, overlooking the lounge * Mains water * Solar hot water * NBN connected External features include: * Historic 2 room stone cottage with original features and slate verandah and adjoining workshop * Long meandering spring fed creek * Lush wetland area with boardwalk * Hillside backdrop with ridgetop trail * Beautiful, expansive lawned gardens packed full of flora, fauna and native wildlife * 2 garden sheds * Aviary * 22,500 litre rainwater tank plumbed to house with mains back up * Further 5000 litre rainwater tank * Double car port * Horseshoe driveway * Paved parking area * Spacious verandah paved with big slate slabs to 3 sides of home Some words from the vendors "We first moved to Willunga 22 years ago and called our property 'Happy Hills'. Our three sons had many creative ideas to improve the garden such as bamboo cubby houses, tree houses, tracks down the hillside for their bob-sleds, mounds for BMX bikes, trails for motor bikes, discovering creek creatures and making frog ponds. Our family learnt many new skills in order to complete projects such as restoring an original slate miner's cottage, landscaping and constructing a boardwalk through the wetlands area. Our research and attending workshops convinced us that organic, sustainable gardening was the best way to grow our vegetables, fruit trees and to attract wildlife to the garden. 'Beltunga Trails' evolved as an outdoor education experience for school groups highlighting care for the environment and discovering creatures living in various habitats. Our family, friends and school children will always have happy memories of exploring the trails - along the creek, wetlands and hillside with views that never fail to please. The valley has echoed the sounds of children's laughter and chatter as they discover frogs, butterflies, yabbies, nests and birds. It's a nature-lovers retreat: • Brekky with the Kookaburra, Magpie, Wattlebird chorus. • Lunch with the very busy Blue Fairy Wrens, Honeyeaters, Rosellas (to name a few). • Tea with the birds returning to their abodes, frog calls and owls. The sights and senses are greatly enhanced and every opportunity has been made to enjoy the 'garden therapy' experience. It's time to down-size and offer this amazing life-style to a family who will enjoy the outdoor adventure playground as much as our family and school groups."- published: 27 Feb 2014
