Elimination Chamber (2012) (also known as No Way Out (2012) in Germany) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by WWE. It took place on February 19, 2012 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and featured talent from the Raw and SmackDown brands. The pay-per-view was the third annual Elimination Chamber event.
The event garnered 178,000 pay-per-view buys, down from 199,000 buys the previous year's event received.
Elimination Chamber featured professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that were played out on Raw, SmackDown, and WWE Superstars—WWE's television programs. Wrestlers portrayed villains or heroes as they followed a series of events that built tension, and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.
The first match was announced by Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis on January 30, 2012, on WWE's website. The announcement stated that there will be a Raw Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship. In the match, CM Punk will defend his championship against Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho, The Miz, R-Truth, and Kofi Kingston. The following week on Raw, Jericho won a Six-Pack Challenge featuring all six Elimination Chamber participants to earn the right to enter the match last.
The Elimination Chamber is a professional wrestling elimination-based match and held in the WWE promotion. The match was created by Triple H and was introduced by Eric Bischoff in November 2002. It features a large chain-linked circular steel structure or "chamber" which encloses the ring. The chamber's floor is platformed over the ringside area which elevates it to ring level and within the chamber are four inner enclosures outside each ring corner. While similar in profile and nature to WWE's original large scale steel-structured match, Hell in a Cell, the Elimination Chamber match is strictly a six participant match wherein two participants begin the bout in the ring as the remaining four are held within each inner enclosure and are released into the match at five-minute intervals. The objective is to eliminate each opponent from the match via pinfall or submission. The winner is the last remaining participant after all others have been eliminated. As in the Hell in a Cell match, disqualifications do not apply. The structure itself is 16 ft (4.9 m) high, 36 ft (11 m) in diameter, weighs over 10 short tons (9,100 kg), and comprises 2 mi (3.2 km) and 6 short tons (5,400 kg) of chain. There have been nineteen Elimination Chamber matches in WWE since the concept's inception in November 2002.
No Way Out (2009) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and was presented by AT&T. It took place on February 15, 2009, at the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington. It was the eleventh event under the No Way Out name and featured talent from the Raw, SmackDown and ECW brands. Five matches were held on the event's card.
The main event on the Raw brand was an Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge won the match after last eliminating Rey Mysterio. The predominant match on the SmackDown brand was an Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship, in which Triple H won after last eliminating The Undertaker. The primary match on the ECW brand was for the ECW Championship between Jack Swagger and Finlay, which Swagger won. The undercard also featured two more matches from the Raw brand. The first was a No Holds Barred match between Randy Orton and Shane McMahon, which Orton won. The second match saw Shawn Michaels defeat John "Bradshaw" Layfield in a standard one-on-one match.

It was the second annual Elimination Chamber event. The event received 212,000 buys, lower than the 287,000 buys that last year's event received.
Elimination Chamber featured professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that played out on WWE's primary television programs. Wrestlers portrayed villains or heroes as they followed a series of events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.
After The Miz won the WWE Championship in November 2010, Raw commentator Jerry Lawler was given what was billed as his first WWE Championship match, after criticizing Miz's win by using his Money in the Bank briefcase while former champion Randy Orton was injured. He lost to Miz in a TLC match after his fellow commentator Michael Cole stopped Lawler from climbing the ladder. On the January 31 episode of Raw, the Raw general manager announced a Raw Rumble match, to determine the WWE Championship contender at Elimination Chamber, while the losing participants would be entered into an Elimination Chamber match to determine who will face the WWE Champion at WrestleMania XXVII. The participants were CM Punk, Randy Orton, King Sheamus, John Morrison, John Cena, Jerry Lawler, and R-Truth. Lawler last eliminated Sheamus to win the battle royal to earn himself the title match, while the other six contestants went on to participate in the Raw Elimination Chamber match.
