Resident Evil (animated film series)

The Resident Evil film series, known in Japan as Biohazard (バイオハザード, Baiohazādo), is a Japanese computer animated biopunk horror film series based on the Resident Evil survival-horror video game franchise.

Films

Capcom have released three animated films which are tied to and set in the Resident Evil video game series. Fourth is currently in development.

4D-Executer

Biohazard 4D-Executer features Raccoon City, but none of the characters from the video game series are present. The short film was released in November 2000.

Degeneration

Resident Evil: Degeneration, originally Biohazard: Degeneration (バイオハザード：ディジェネレーション, Baiohazādo: Dijenerēshon), is Capcom's first full-length feature film set in the video game series, from 2008. Taking place between the events of the video games Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, follows Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. It was released on October 18, 2008.

Damnation

Resident Evil: Damnation, originally Biohazard: Damnation (バイオハザード ダムネーション, Baiohazādo: Damunēshon), is Capcom's second full-length feature film set in the video game series, from 2012. Taking place between the events of the video games Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, follows Leon S. Kennedy and Ada Wong. It was released on September 15, 2012.

Resident Evil (The Vampire Diaries)

"Resident Evil" is the 18th episode of the fifth season of the American series The Vampire Diaries and the series' 107th episode overall. "Resident Evil" was originally aired on April 17, 2014, on The CW. The episode was written by Caroline Dries and Brian Young and directed by Paul Wesley. The episode is Wesley's debut as director in the series.

Plot

The episode starts with Elena (Nina Dobrev) having a dream/vision about her and Stefan (Paul Wesley) meeting for the first time. She wakes up and feels that what she saw was weird. Elena goes to a cafe with Caroline (Candice Accola) where Elena has another vision. She talks to Caroline about it, and Caroline explains that now that Elena has broken up with Damon (Ian Somerhalder), the universe is trying to get her and Stefan back together. Stefan calls Caroline to tell her that he has visions as well, and they realize that something is not right.

Liv (Penelope Mitchell) agrees to work with Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Matt (Zach Roerig), but she cannot trust them not being possessed by travelers. So, she tells them that they have to stab themselves with the traveler's knife to prove it. Matt does not like the idea, but he does it since he does not have a choice. After it is proven that none of them are possessed, Liv explains that the travelers are probably taking over Mystic Falls by getting into people's bodies, and their job is to find them and stab them with the traveler's knife to kill them.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse (Score)

Resident Evil: Apocalypse — Original Motion Picture Score features score cues composed by Jeff Danna for the film and performed by the London Philharmonia Orchestra. It has an emphasis on orchestral sound in sharp contrast to the electronic sound utilized by Marco Beltrami and Marilyn Manson in the original Resident Evil film score. This additional release is differentiated by the words "Music Composed by Jeff Danna" on the lower right front of the cover art.
