David Garrett - Rock Symphonies EPK
David Garrett -- the best-selling new classical artist of 2009 -- brings listeners along on a roller coaster ride of genres colliding on his sophomore album, Rock Symphonies. Rock Symphonies displays Garrett's love of both classical and rock, marrying the two genres with a fierce intensity. Featuring new interpretations of his favorite rock anthems by U2, Nirvana, Metallica and Aerosmith to name a few, David's virtuosic violin playing shines through with precision and power, backed by his band and The City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. With his new Public Television concert special slated for an August broadcast, David Garrett is poised to be the breakout star of the summer. Rock Symphonies will be released on Decca July 20th.

Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals Symphonic Rock Remix: "The Very End"
Out of everything I've done so far, this would have to earn the top spot for me. It's not balls out metal like all of my previous remixes; this is a much more mellow interpretation of various themes from Lufia & The Fortress of Doom as well as Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals. I originally planned to have lyrics in this piece (as performed by my good friend starla (known as injury on OverClocked Remix)), and one day I may move forward with this when I can write some that don't sound absurdly cheesy. There is one line of spoken dialogue near the end, from a pal of mine named DrumUltima (who also happens to be doing vocals on my upcoming solo album. Oops, I wasn't supposed to mention that). The purpose of the piece is to evoke a melancholy and remorseful feeling as it visits the various themes throughout; the first being the theme of the floating island as Maxim, Selan, Guy, and Artea fight their way through the Sinistral's hordes. Following that is a take on Iris' theme, as her true identity is revealed and her course in the story finally explained. After that, a very few brief pieces of battle music, until the line of dialogue is spoken. "Just rest; I'll hold you until the very end. I promise." While not taken directly from the game, I imagined it to be something Maxim would say to a dying Selan, their fates both firmly sealed as the floating island came crashing down to the earth below. For those following my stuff, thanks for the support and the comments, I'm going to be ...

Makkon vs Jeffthestrider - No Strings Attached
My remix of Jeffthestrider's song www.youtube.com His channel www.youtube.com I have the tendency to overdo things. This is a somewhat loose interpretation of the song Jeffthestrider wrote as a battle theme for the background character Octavia. Now it's more of a battle theme for... well, Nightmare Moon? Sorry Jeff, I took the liberty of rearranging a lot of the song's composition in a lot of parts. Some parts I had to cut because of the instrumentation I used (it just didn't fit). But it was a lot of fun to remix your song, you always have great melody and a strong hook to all of your music. Don't be surprised if I remix you again soon! もう歌しか聞こえない Mystic Nights ~ Touhou Vocal/Symphonic Rock 35
Circle: Oriens Album: Passion Blossom Arranged by: Rei Vocals: ひなた巫凪 Minagi Hinata 'kay guys here's an epic arrange from the new Oriens album.~ And I'm saying ARRANGE, not the vocals, I'll get to that too. .__. But now to the arrange... Damn I'm such a sucker for choirs so the intro totally threw me off! Rei is one of the best orchestra arrangers in Touhou, no doubt about that. I love most of what he does but I feel like many people are going to be disappointed because it's not the epic orchestra stuff anymore but Symphonic Rock with vocals. But personally I don't mind, as long as he's going to continue making awesome orchestra stuff.x3 But a change in genres is not always a bad idea too... I still think the arranges are pretty good overall even though it's different. My favourites must be this and Heaven and Earth, the Ghostly Eyes arrange. Well like I said I really love the choir intro, the whole arrange but then the vocals jump in...and they're not good when they jump in.T_T Anyone else smells some Fuki syndrome here? As if she's trying but the song is too much for her voice... BUT I don't want to be too hard on the singer, because the original is hard to sing! Well I can't sing myself but I can imagine that the solo melody is really tough. So I don't want to be too hard to her, well I can't say she's doing THAT part well, tbh it sounds horrible T_T, but then when the chorus comes in she sounds pretty good. And from what I read she's new to Touhou arranges so ...
