White is married to former soap opera actress Erika Page of One Life to Live and is the father of Justin, born in October of 2003 and Jackson, born in July of 2005. In the mid 1990s, when Bryan was in his early twenties, he quickly became one of country music's hottest young stars earning number one singles on the Billboard country chart with his songs "Someone Else's Star" and "Rebecca Lynn" from his debut album. "I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore" reached fourth, and then he had numbers with "So Much For Pretending" and "Sittin' On Go" from his second album. Although one critic labeled Bryan's first two albums as "surprisingly mature", it was mainly teen fans which helped launch his success. The first issue of Teen Country magazine was devoted solely to him. White won the Country Music Association "Horizon" award for the most promising artist of the year and earned several "Best Male Vocalist" nominations. History of How Do I Live: "How Do I Live" is a 1997 song, written by Diane Warren, that was released originally by LeAnn Rimes, and shortly afterward by Trisha Yearwood. The song was originally intended for release as a single for the 1997 action blockbuster Con Air soundtrack. Warren wrote the song for Rimes to sing. The producers felt that Rimes's version had too much of a pop feeling to it, and requested that she re-record it to fit their standards. She refused, and the producers chose Trisha Yearwood to record the song. Her more country-style version was released on May 27, 1997 and appeared in the film. When Rimes heard of the release, she quickly released her version. Despite only peaking as high as number seven in the UK Singles Chart, LeAnn Rimes' version of How Do I Live spent thirty-four weeks in the chart. Dixie Chicks "Heartbreak Town" I grew up on country music and have and always will be a big fan. However, I've never been more disappointed than I was with the country music industry and some fans reaction to the Dixie Chicks in 2003. I rarely listen to country radio anymore and I don't watch the award shows. I love this song about the "chew em up and spit em out" nature of the music business and I figured these images worked well. Here's hoping country music finds its heart again sometime soon... Bill's just a regular guy. He's a truck driver from Sparta, Kentucky. He's a husband and a dad. And he's a genuinely good guy. He loves to talk, I learned, when I met him for the first time in the summer of 2003. We had a very nice conversation. He was invited to headline a local American Cancer Society Relay for Life benefit concert at a local horse ranch, and my family spent time with him and his wife Tina looking at the horses there at Crystal Valley, talking about which ones were our favorites. The local non-profit public service country music oldies station operated by the West Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind, WVSB, was giving two tracks off his CD "One Lucky Man" heavy airplay. One of the songs got the most response from local listeners, a song called "He Rode On," about an old man who got picked on by a kid who eventually grew up finding himself in need of his services, and learned something about the old man he never knew before in the process, and perhaps something about himself. And from that song he had developed quite a following in these parts. Take a listen to the song, and you'll understand why the people of the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia STILL love Bill Arnold. **UPDATE 8/4/08**--Bill finally has a Myspace page! Carl was a dominate force in country music throughout the 1950s and early 1960s, with 30 Top 10 hits. From his debut chart entry in 1951 through late 1955, he had 21 consecutive Top 10 singles. During his career, Carl scored 53 Top 20 hits, including five that went to No. 1. He specialized in pure honky-tonk and had a talent for singing smooth ballads, but rarely crossed over into the pop audience. Regardless, Carl was one of the most popular and best-known country singers of his era. He topped the charts with such classics as Let's Live a Little (1951), Let Old Mother Nature Have Her Way (1951), Are You Teasing Me (1952), Hey Joe (1953) Loose Talk (1954), Back Up Buddy (1954), Kisses Dont Lie (1955), There She Goes (1955) and Before I Met You (1956).
