This film shows trains at Jurong East Interchange Station which is on the Singapore MRT - Mass Rapid Transport - network.
At the time of filming it was served by East West line through trains (which use the outher two tracks) and trains on the short Branch Line service (which used the centre track plus two platform faces). The Branch Line was very short, consisting of just four stations.
Changes since this film was made include the Branch Line being incorporated in to the North South Line, and to improve safety by making it less likely that passengers fall on to the tracks, the platform edges have been retrofitted with half-height platform screen doors.

An interchange station (in the UK, most Commonwealth countries[citation needed], Hong Kong [1] and Ireland) or a transfer station (in Canada and the USA) is a train station for more than one railway route in a public transport system, and allows passengers to change from one route to another. Transfer may occur within the same mode, or between rail modes, or to buses. Such stations usually have more platforms than single route stations. They may be required to pay extra fare for the interchange if they leave a paid area.
In most rapid transit, an interchange station is a stop at which a passenger can change from one line to another without incurring another full fare or having to leave the station proper.
Some interchange stations offer only transfer between routes and do not have the ability for passengers to enter or exit the network, for instance Cornbrook on the Manchester Metrolink light rail system (although passenger entrances and exits for the station were established in 2005). Manhattan Transfer (PRR station) on the Pennsylvania Railroad was located outside Newark, New Jersey.

The Platform is the debut album of the West Coast hip hop group Dilated Peoples. It was released in 2000 under the Capitol Records label, and represents a movement of several California underground hip hop artists away from the violence and misogyny of gangsta rap, towards a more traditional, conscious form of rap.
