Garden Museum, London
The Garden Museum is possibly London's best located museum, inside the former church of St Mary-at-Lambeth, which sits in the lee of Lambeth Palace, residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury since 1200. On the bank of the Thames right across from Whitehall and Westminster, it forms a triangle of the traditional seats of British power. Gardening is an enormous perversion for the British, so it is s

In this video tour New York Habitat (www.nyhabitat.com) explores London’s thriving Lambeth neighborhood!
On the tour, David Hill will visit some of the most iconic and popular locations in London. Once a medieval Viking port, Lambeth is now internationally famous for its landmarks and history. Lambeth includes local area hotspots on the South Bank of the River Thames (opposite Westminster), including Waterloo, the Southbank Center, the London Aquarium, the London Eye, and Lambeth Palace. Further south you’ll see Clapham Common on the border of Wandsworth. Learn more about Lambeth on our blog: http://www.nyhabitat.com/blog/2015/03/10/london-video-tour-lambeth/
Geographically speaking, Lambeth is three miles wide and seven miles long, though most people are only familiar with the northern edge. This video covers the area between Westminster Bridge and Vauxhall Bridge, as well as half of Clapham Commons. Are you looking for an apartment in the area? Consider our long-term rentals: http://www.nyhabitat.com/london-apartment/furnished/lambeth-vauxhall
Waterloo Station
The busiest travel terminal in London, Waterloo Station hosts over 90 million people every year. The building was inaugurated in 1922 but the site has been a rail station since 1848. It’s also connected to the London Underground by three separate lines running beneath it.
Southbank Center
Known worldwide as world-class center of the arts, at 21 acres Southbank Center is Europe’s largest center for the arts. Some of the more notable concert halls include the Royal Festival Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, and the Haywood Gallery. It’s a great place to take the kids.
London Aquarium
Have you ever wanted to swim with sharks? How about feed them? At the London Aquarium you can! It’s the kind of activity kids can get excited about, and despite the way it sounds it’s perfectly safe – the sharks are small varieties. However, for those who don’t want to risk it there’s also turtle feeding.
London Eye
It’s the second-tallest viewing point in London and the largest Ferris Wheel in Europe. Drawing over 3.5 million visitors per year, it’s also the most popular tourist attraction in the entire UK. See for yourself in one of the 32 passenger capsules, and experience London in a truly unforgettable way. Or better yet, pop in for a visit with one of our nearby vacation rental apartments: http://www.nyhabitat.com/london-apartment/vacation/lambeth-vauxhall
Lambeth Palace
Who has the oldest house in town? The Archbishop of Canterbury would give you a run for your money, as Lambeth Palace has been the traditional Archbishop’s seat since the last crusades of the 13th century. Take the kids to the nearby Archbishop’s park for a round of cricket or tennis, then hope on over to Westminster just across the river.
Clapham Common
For a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Londontown, consider visiting Clapham Common. This 220 acre park is known for its lovely scenery and soothing atmosphere. It’s a great place to go for a midafternoon stroll or just to admire the quieter side of London.
We hope you enjoyed this tour of London’s Lambeth neighborhood. To see more, check out our blog at: www.nyhabitat.com and let us know which of these spots is your favorite!

London, 1868. In the heart of the Industrial Revolution, lead your underworld organization and grow your influence to fight those who exploit the less privileged in the name of progress:
Champion justice
As Jacob Frye, a young and reckless Assassin, use your skills to help those trampled by the march of progress. From freeing exploited children used as slave labour in factories, to stealing precious assets from enemy boats, you will stop at nothing to bring justice back to London’s streets.
Command London’s underworld
To reclaim London for the people, you will need an army. As a gang leader, strengthen your stronghold and rally rival gang members to your cause, in order to take back the capital from the Templars’ hold.
A new dynamic fighting system
In Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, action is fast-paced and brutal. As a master of combat, combine powerful multi-kills and countermoves to strike your enemies down.
A whole new arsenal
Choose your own way to fight enemies. Take advantage of the Rope Launcher technology to be as stealthy as ever and strike with your Hidden Blade. Or choose the kukri knife and the brass knuckles to get the drop on your enemies.
A new age of transportation
In London, the systemic vehicles offer an ever-changing environment. Drive carriages to chase your target, use your parkour skills to engage in epic fights atop high-speed trains, or make your own way amongst the boats of the River Thames.
A vast open world
Travel the city at the height of the Industrial Revolution and meet iconic historical figures. From Westminster to Whitechapel, you will come across Darwin, Dickens, Queen Victoria… and many more.

The sleepy residential suburb is conveniently located in South London and thanks to it's excellent transport links, it only takes 15 minutes to get here.
Clapham high street is a great place to buy some gifts, there's a wide range of varied and exciting shops to check out. I also visited the 24 hour market on Venn Street. It's a great place to pick up some locally grown vegetables and freshly baked goods.
Many travel to Clapham for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and if peace and quiet is what you're after then Clapham Common is the place for you. Anglo Saxons first settled on the common in 1887, now-a-days it's used purely for recreation and hosts many music festival.
Whether you're into football or dogging, there's something for everyone on the common.
Well I had a lovely day in Clapham and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Please feel free to ask questions in the public area or to comment on things you disagree with. Sometimes there are mistakes because I speak without preparation. If I see the mistakes myself, I make this clear in the text. Please also leave a star rating!
There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- http://www.ceepackaging.com - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focusing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers.
Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine!
Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!

Gardening is an enormous perversion for the British, so it is suitable that this is the first gardening museum in the world. Many of the visitors look like they should be scaring crows in fields. The museum was founded by John and Rosemary Nicholson, after tracing the tomb of the 17th century royal gardeners John Tradescant (father and son) to this churchyard.
Much of the vast collection remains in storage. The rest is split into three main categories: tools, ephemera and a library. The ephemera section is the best: there are prints, photographs, bills, and brochures. The tool collection also has its moments, notably a cucumber straightener and a collection of garden gnomes.
The museum's beautiful, if small, grounds include a 17th century style knot garden. These geometric and highly formal compositions were typically lined with clipped low hedges. The churchyard contains some noteworthy graves, including the tyrannical Captain 'Breadfruit' Bligh of the mutiny on The Bounty. A plaque to the left of the church's front door commemorates Brian Turbeville, Gent., who bequeathed £100 to St Mary-at-Lambeth for the appreticeship of two poor boys each year. The museum also hosts occasional concerts and lectures; check the website for details.
