William Bradley "Brad" Pitt (born December 18, 1963) is an American actor and producer. He has received a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and three Academy Award nominations in acting categories, and received three further Academy Award nominations, winning one, as producer under his own company Plan B Entertainment.
Pitt first gained recognition as a cowboy hitchhiker in the road movie Thelma & Louise (1991). His first leading roles in big-budget productions came with the dramas A River Runs Through It (1992) and Legends of the Fall (1994), and Interview with the Vampire (1994). He gave critically acclaimed performances in the crime thriller Seven and the science fiction film 12 Monkeys (both 1995), the latter earning him a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor and an Academy Award nomination. Pitt starred in the cult film Fight Club (1999) and the major international hit Ocean's Eleven (2001) and its sequels, Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Ocean's Thirteen (2007). His greatest commercial successes have been Troy (2004), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), and World War Z (2013). Pitt received his second and third Academy Award nominations for his leading performances in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) and Moneyball (2011). He produced The Departed (2006) and 12 Years a Slave (2013), both of which won the Academy Award for Best Picture, and also The Tree of Life, Moneyball, and The Big Short (2015), all of which garnered Best Picture nominations.
Jack "Jumping Jack" McCracken (June 15, 1912 – January 5, 1958) was an American basketball player in the 1930s and 1940s. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) players of all time and was officially named as the greatest player of all time by the AAU organization.
A native of Chickasha, Oklahoma, McCracken went to Classen High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended Northwest Missouri State Teachers College (now Northwest Missouri State University) in Maryville, Missouri and played for coach Henry Iba, who had also coached him in high school. McCracken never turned professional.
After leaving Northwest Missouri State Teachers College, he went to Denver, Colorado, to play in the AAU.
The concept of a tree of life is a widespread mytheme or archetype in the world's mythologies, related to the concept of sacred tree more generally, and hence in religious and philosophical tradition.
The expression Tree of Life was used as a metaphor for the phylogenetic tree of common descent in the evolutionary sense in a famous passage by Charles Darwin (1872).
The tree of knowledge, connecting to heaven and the underworld, and the tree of life, connecting all forms of creation, are both forms of the world tree or cosmic tree, according to the Encyclopædia Britannica, and are portrayed in various religions and philosophies as the same tree.
Various trees of life are recounted in folklore, culture and fiction, often relating to immortality or fertility. They had their origin in religious symbolism.
In pre-Islamic Persian mythology, the Gaokerena world tree is a large, sacred Haoma tree which bears all seeds. Ahriman (Ahreman, Angremainyu) created a frog to invade the tree and destroy it, aiming to prevent all trees from growing on the earth. As a reaction, God (Ahura Mazda) created two kar fish staring at the frog to guard the tree. The two fishes are always staring at the frog and stay ready to react to it. Because Ahriman is responsible for all evil including death, while Ahura Mazda is responsible for all good (including life) the concept of world tree in Persian Mythology is very closely related to the concept of Tree of Life.
Terrence Frederick Malick (/ˈmælɪk/; born November 30, 1943) is an American film director, screenwriter and producer. In a career spanning over four decades, he has directed eight feature films, with an additional film currently in post-production. Malick has received consistent praise for his work and is regarded as one of the greatest living filmmakers, with particular praise usually directed toward his imagery and philosophical themes.
Malick made his directorial debut with the drama Badlands (1973), about a young couple on a crime spree in the 1950s Midwest, loosely based on the real-life murder spree of Charles Starkweather. His second film, Days of Heaven (1978), set in 1916 in the Texas Panhandle, follows a farm laborer who becomes caught in a love triangle. Days of Heaven went on to win the Academy Award for Best Cinematography and Best Director, at the 1979 Cannes Film Festival. Both films are often ranked among the best of the 1970s, with Badlands considered one of the best directorial debuts since Orson Welles' Citizen Kane (1941). After the release of Days of Heaven, Malick took a long hiatus from filmmaking.

Jack McCracken is a man of principle in a corrupt world - but not for long. Moments after taking over his father in law's business he's approached by a private detective armed with some compromising information. Jack's integrity fades away as he discovers his extended family to be thieves and adulterers, looting the business from their suburban homes. Rampant self-interest takes over and comic hysteria builds to a macabre climax.
An excellent and informative biography of animator Genndy Tartakovsky, creator of such shows as Samurai Jack, Dexter's Laboratory, Sym-Bionic Titan, and Star Wars: Clone Wars. Craig McCracken, Rob Renzetti, Paul Rudish, and Genndy's wife and brother all appear. Narrated by the late Mako Iwamatsu, voice of Aku in Samurai Jack. This was originally available on the Season 2 DVD of Samurai Jack, released in 2007.

MY LIFE AS A TEENAGE ROBOT creator Rob Renzetti has worked with some of the most legendary names in animation: Genndy Tartakovsky, Craig McCracken, Samurai Jack, Harvey Birdman, the Powerpuff Girls, and some guy named Dexter who had a laboratory. Rob tells Hector that he's lucky to have come up during a new renaissance in TV animation, but with the resume of Rob Renzetti, it's clear that he's a massive talent of his own who never stopped working his cartoon butt off.
