Representative Rants: Read the Bill
FINALLY, Illinois State Representative Mike Bost has finally had enough of politics as usual in the State of Illinois and wants to know why they don't READ THE BILL. Bost erupted on the House floor Tuesday afternoon, after Mike Madigan and the party leadership called for a vote on a new pension reform proposal. House Speaker Mike Madigan had only introduced the bill that same morning. It passed on a six to three vote and moved to the House floor for discussion within a couple of hours. The bill is hundreds of pages long, and Bost says lawmakers should not be voting on a proposal without first reading it.

22nd District Illinois House of Representatives Candidate Michele Piszczor attends a conference of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights ( ICIRR ) Friday, February 10, 2012. The conference, a ploy by ICIRR Chief Executive Strategist Joshua Hoyt, a Michael Madigan supporter, was intended to draw negative media attention to Michele, alleging that she had deliberately refused to sign a "No Hate" pledge tied to the Dream Act. In this video, Michele sets the record straight, bringing to light Joshua Hoyt's false accusations while highlighting his own self-interested ties to the Madigan's campaign. Joshua Hoyt, admits to Crain writer Greg Hinz , that he ran the idea to hold a press conference against Michele Piszczor with Michael Madigan and he was "very pleased". Only 8 candidates in Illinois signed this yet they specifically only hold a press conference against Michele. Michele never received the pledge they said they sent. This was all a set up by Michael Madigan's cronies. Michele is the only legitimate opponent Madigan has had in over 32 years.

Who caused our credit rating to be the worst in the nation? There's one very simple answer: Michael Madigan Madigan is the Speaker in the Illinois House, has been for decades. He keeps all the Democrats in line and throws bones to spineless Repubicans to keep them in line. As the purse holder in Illinois, he has all the power. Illinois state lawmaker has Massive Meltdown on House floor: 'Let my people go!' (May 31, 2012)
An Illinois state lawmaker lost his temper in dramatic fashion on Tuesday when he screamed and threw papers in the direction of his colleagues on the floor of the state House.Republican Mike Bost says he was simply protesting changes made to a proposed pension bill offered by House Speaker Michael Madigan, a Democrat. The bill had recently cleared a House committee and has been endorsed by Gov. Pat Quinn."Total power in one person's hands—not the American way!" Bost screamed from the state House floor. As the local CBS Chicago affiliate reported, Bost then threw several papers in the air and attempted to punch them with his fist as they drifted downward. "These damn bills that come out here all the damn time, come out here at the last second!" Bost said as he threw the papers on the floor. "I've got to figure out how to vote for my people!"Bost and other Republicans are opposed to the structure of the bill, which would raise local property taxes to decrease annual cost-of-living increases for public employees."You should be ashamed of yourselves! I'm sick of it!" Bost said. "Every year! We give power to one person! It was not made that way in the Constitution! He was around when it was written! Now we give him—we've passed rules that stop each one of us! Enough! I feel like somebody trying to be released from Egypt! Let my people go!"A much more composed Bost later appeared on Fox News, where he discussed the incident, telling host Bill Hemmer, "Normally, I really don't ...
