James Michael "Jim" Flaherty, PC, MP (born December 30, 1949) is Canada's Minister of Finance and he has also served as Ontario's Minister of Finance. From 1995 until 2005, he was the Member of Provincial Parliament for Whitby—Ajax, and a member of the Progressive Conservative Party caucus. He was a cabinet minister in the government of Mike Harris, and unsuccessfully sought the leadership of the Ontario Progressive Conservatives on two occasions.

Flaherty won the riding of Whitby—Oshawa in the federal election held January 23, 2006 as a member of the Conservative Party of Canada narrowly beating Liberal incumbent Judi Longfield. He was re-elected in 2008. Flaherty's wife Christine Elliott represents Whitby—Oshawa in the Ontario Legislature.

Flaherty was born in Lachine, Quebec. He attended Bishop Whelan High School and Loyola High School, Montreal. Flaherty has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, as well as a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University. He practised law before entering political life, and was a founding partner of Flaherty Dow Elliott, a firm specializing in motor vehicle accident and personal injury litigation.^{[citation needed]}

Kevin Page, born in Thunder Bay, Ontario in 1957 to James and Stella Page, is a Canadian economist. He is the first ever Parliamentary Budget Officer. He was appointed to the position on March 25, 2008.

A graduate of Fort William Collegiate Institute, he later studied at Lakehead University, went to Simon Fraser University on a golf scholarship and took his M.A. in economics from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario.

Before being appointed to the position of Parliamentary Budget Officer, on March 25th 2008, Kevin Page had for twenty-seven years worked as a civil servant in the Canadian government with experience in central agencies and line departments including: Finance Canada; the Treasury Board Secretariat; the Privy Council Office; the Department of Fisheries and Oceans; Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada; and Human Resources and Social Development Canada.

The Parliamentary Budget Officer, is an independent officer of the Library of Parliament who reports to the Speakers of the House of Commons and Senate. The Parliamentary Budget Officer's responsibilities include providing an independent analysis of the state of the economy, the nation's finances and the government's expenditure plan, and an analysis of the expenditure estimates of any government department or agency when requested to do so by a Parliamentary committee that's reviewing those estimates. The officer is also mandated to provide an estimate of costs for any proposal that falls within the jurisdiction of the Parliament of Canada.

Andrew Cash (born 1962) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Toronto-area Davenport electoral district. He grew up in Toronto, where he befriended future MP, Charlie Angus, and along with Angus founded the Toronto punk band L'Étranger. In the late 1990s, he also became a journalist, writing for the Toronto weekly Now. He was elected to the Canadian House of Commons in 2011.

Cash began his career in the Toronto punk band L'Étranger, which also included Charlie Angus. When the band broke up in 1986, Cash signed to Island Records as a solo artist. His first release on the label was a reissue of L'Étranger's last recording, Sticks and Stones. He released three albums as a solo artist and had a number of hits, including "Time and Place", "Boomtown", "What Am I Gonna Do with These Hands" and "A Lot of Talk".

He then formed the band Ursula, who released the album Happy to be Outraged in 1995. However, that band was not successful, and broke up after just the one album.

Robert Bruce "Rob" Ford (born May 28, 1969) is a Canadian politician and businessman. He is the 64th and current Mayor of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was first elected to city council in the 2000 Toronto municipal election, and was re-elected to his council seat in 2003 and again in 2006. Ford was elected Mayor in the 2010 mayoral election, and took office on December 1 of that year. Ford's father Doug Ford, Sr. was also a politician and his brother Doug is a Toronto city councillor.

Born in Etobicoke, Ford is the youngest of four children of Diane and Doug Ford, Sr.. Ford Sr. was the founder of DECO Labels and Tags, which makes pressure-sensitive labels for plastic-wrapped grocery products at an estimated $100 million in annual sales. Ford Sr. later became a Member of the Ontario Legislature in the Progressive Conservative government of Mike Harris. Not long after Rob Ford's birth in 1969, the success of the family business allowed the family to build a six-bedroom home in Etobicoke, which has a full-sized swimming pool and gardens that can host nearly a thousand visitors.

James Flaherty is an American actor and stand-up comedian.

Flaherty attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York State and later worked as a high school teacher in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He worked for a short time as a full-time actor, and now acts while maintaining a full time teaching career in Western Massachusetts. He is known for his impressions of former president Bill Clinton, as well as Regis Philbin, Donald Trump and Ted Turner.

He has appeared in episodes of Saturday Night Live, The Sopranos, Law & Order and Chappelle's Show.
