JACK LEMMON playing jazz piano - PRICELESS
Jack Lemmon playing jazz piano at Cafe Carlyle, New Years Eve 1990.
Bobby Short invites Jack to play the piano and accompanies him toward the end of his too-short time at the piano. I believe this is New Years Eve 1990 - please correct me if I'm wrong. Jack's wife Felicia Farr is sitting next to him. Jack died in 2001 at 76 years old. Bobby Short died in 2005 at age 80. They are both greatly missed.
I will also be posting a video of Lucie Arnaz singing that same evening (for those who might not know, she is Lucille Ball's daughter). And also a video of the whole show that evening.
I am thrilled to be able to share this with everyone. I was surprised to see that no one had put it on You-Tube yet.

Avanti !

The Odd Couple Theatrical Trailer
Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon are so good in this hilarious 1968 comedy directed by Gene Saks. Written by Neil Simon, based on his play of the same name. If you're only familiar with the TV show, you must see this movie. Matthau originated the role of Oscar Madison in the original run of the Broadway play; Art Carney was Felix Unger, but turned the movie role down. The film was a big hit.

Missing (1982)
Missing is a 1982 American drama film directed by Costa Gavras, and starring Jack Lemmon, Sissy Spacek, Melanie Mayron, John Shea and Charles Cioffi. It is based on the true story of American journalist Charles Horman, who disappeared in the bloody aftermath of the US-backed Chilean coup of 1973 that deposed the democratically elected socialist President Salvador Allende.
